Avengers: Endgame director Joe Russo commented on the Scarlett Johansson Black Widow lawsuit. The Marvel actress sued Disney after the decision was made to release her movie at home and in theaters at the same time. Russo told Variety that a lot of that conflict drew from the underlying anxiety of the pandemic. “There’s a lot of tension, just like there is in a lot of industries, because there’s a lot of disruption,” the filmmaker explained....

Cartoon Network is looking for more artists to take part in their Drawn To Series. The initiative has been around for a little while now as the channel showcases young people making a difference in their communities. This year alone featured some Martin Luther King Jr. Day programming and other civic service highlights. But, along with those interviews with real kids, there is some very nice art to go along with the effort....

DC has already given fans quite a lot of interesting nuggets in their Infinite Frontier initiative, which has set to revolutionize a lot of the canon and status quo of the publisher’s universe. While we’re only in our second week of the new wave of storytelling, there’s still a lot to process – especially in the recent Infinite Frontier #0 one-shot, which gave a wide-ranging and expansive look at where the DC universe is going next....

DC has big plans for its Aquamanfranchise in 2022. Aside from the premiere of Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom feature film, a new Aquaman comic book is in the works. An editor for DC Comics shared a logo for a project titled “Aquamen,” which alludes to a possible team-up series or event starring current Aquaman Arthur Curry and Aqualad/Jackson Hyde, who is destined to take on the role of Aquaman at some point in the future to coincide with the Future State timeline....

Disney has announced a new wave of release date delays for a bunch of its 2021 movies - including Marvel’s Black Widow, The Kingsman: The Secret Service prequel The King’s Man, and Ryan Reynolds’ video game-inspired action/comedy, Free Guy. The moves come as part of Disney’s attempt to gauge when/how the US and other major film markets will bounce back from the COVID-19 pandemic. With government leaders and health experts targeting an early-to-mid July window for “normality” to return, Disney is getting positioned for when big crowds may regularly be flowing back into theaters....

Edens Zero is hyping the new arc coming to the anime with a cool new trailer! While Hiro Mashima’s original manga series has made its way through its third anniversary of running in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine, its very first anime adaptation has reached the final chunk of episodes for its debut season. The second cour of the series has gathered the third of the Edens Zero’s Four Shining Stars, and now it’s preparing for the fourth and final member of this group, Valkyrie....

This week’s AEW Dynamite will see the arrival of a fan-favorite tag team recently released by NXT. Matt Martel and Chase Parker had been slowly building up a fanbase on WWE’s Black & Gold Brand as Ever-Rise, only for the pair to get cut on June 25. They’ve since gone back to their independent wrestling names Matt Lee and Jeff Parker (known as 2.0), and in a promo released on Tuesday night, the pair announced they’d be teaming with Daniel Garcia for a six-man tag match on Dynamite....

The finale of Hawkeye is officially available to stream on Disney+ and it featured a whole lot of excitement ranging from Vincent D’Onofrio’s long-awaited return as Kingpin/Wilson Fisk to an exciting reveal about Laura Barton (Linda Cardellini). The episode also included more delightful moments from the Tracksuit Mafia, who fans have been loving all season. The Tracksuit Mafia were central figures in the Hawkeye comic series from Matt Fraction and David Aja....

Joker star Joaquin Phoenix is asking a Florida park to transfer some bears used in Brother Bear to an animal sanctuary. Some people may not realize that the Academy Award winner played Kenai in the Disney movie. But, when he became aware that Florida’s Bearadise Ranch was home to the animals that inspired the characters in the film, he wrote a letter asking for their transfer to “an accredited sanctuary.” (credit THR for transcription) Phoenix has been a staunch advocate for animals and worked with PETA in the past....

Kevin Feige has confirmed that What If…? Season 2 is going to tackle Phase 4 movies. Marvel fans have been enjoying the trips down memory lane in the first two episodes of the MCU anthology series. But, next season will see some of the recent output in new light. Feige talked to ScreenRant about what’s next for Uatu The Watcher and the audience at large. A lot of Phase 4 is still off in the distance, so it’s hard to imagine just what inversions could be on tap for What If....

If something big is happening in geek culture, then you can be pretty sure that beloved filmmaker Kevin Smith is going to be there to comment on it. Smith, whose next film is Clerks 3, took some time out of his filmmaking/podcasting/weed-and-comics-selling schedule to take in a special screening of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness with his family, and it seems to have scored the View Askew seal of approval, with Smith adding that a “full review” would be coming today....

We’re just a matter of days away from the premiere of Loki, the third in a seemingly endless roster of Disney+ shows set within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The lead up to Loki’s debut has been particularly interesting compared to the Disney+ shows that arrived before it, as something has stuck out in a different way from the sitcom-fueled mystery (and the sheer novelty of new MCU content after a lengthy hiatus) of WandaVision, and the action-packed fare of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier....

A new Marvel’s Avengers leak has revealed several unreleased MCU skins that are seemingly coming to the game soon. The leak comes the way of the game’s files and courtesy of a recent update made to the Google Stadia, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC game, which added unfinished versions of these skins to the game. On console and Google Stadia, these skins can’t be accessed, but on PC not only can players view them, but use them online....

Marvel’s What If…? is bringing fans “Party Thor” in Episode 7. It’s been a wild ride with the Disney+ show so far and people have been enjoying the journey. However, the company just dropped a look at the upcoming episode and this is a dramatic departure from the previous couple of episodes. What If has seen some dour times during the run so far, but Party Thor is bringing some lighthearted adventures in Episode 7....

AEW and New Japan will host their first crossover event, Forbidden Door, this coming June. However, the young promotion wasn’t the only company trying to partner up with Japan’s top pro wrestling promotion. Back in May 2021 reports started popping up that the WWE was in talks with New Japan in order to become its exclusive partner, effectively cutting AEW out of the equation. Bryan Danielson then confirmed later that year that WWE had attempted to keep him in the company by offering him the freedom to also work in Japan, but he wound up signing with AEW months after his WWE contract had expired in April 2021....

Filmmaker Mike Flanagan has taken to Twitter to confirm the slate of directors that will take the helm of Netflix’s Christopher Pike adaptation The Midnight Club. The director of Doctor Sleep and Gerald’s Game will serve as creator and executive producer, stepping behind the camera for the first episode. Other directors confirmed to work on the new series include Emmanuel Osei-Kuffour (Black Box), Axelle Carolyn (Creepshow, The Haunting of Bly Manor), Viet Nguyen (Lucifer, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina), Morgan Beggs (Once Upon a Time, Smallville), and frequent Flanagan collaborator Michael Fimognari (DP: The Haunting of Hill House, director: To All the Boys: Always and Forever)....

Since its introduction in Pokemon Sword and Shield on Nintendo Switch, Yamper has made its way into the hearts of many fans. The beloved Electric-type doggo is the star of a brand-new music video that just released on the Pokemon Kids TV YouTube channel. A collaboration with TOKIOHEIDI, the video is about a boy sleeping past his alarm. His pet Yamper is on-hand to wake him up, but not without a bit of effort....

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings skyrocketed into theaters this past weekend, introducing the newest hero into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The origin story of Shang-Chi (Simu Liu) ended up diving through some surprising aspects of Marvel canon, with cameos and Easter eggs that fans might not have been expecting. That included some key Avengers members in the film’s mid-credits scene — and director Destin Daniel Cretton is speaking out about a particularly significant one....

While Michael Dorn has his pitch to bring back his Star Trek character Worf in a new show, Silicon Valley producer Graham Wagner pitched his version of what a Worf spinoff could be, and it’s something a bit lighter than Dorn’s take. The New York Times recently profiled Alex Kurtzman, the producer in charge of the Star Trek television franchise, who recently extended his tenure through a new contract with ViacomCBS....

Cyberpunk 2077 is the latest work from CD Projekt, the video game studio responsible for the Witcher series, and with the story of Geralt of Rivia becoming a hit for Netflix, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that the streaming service is set to adapt the company’s take on the technologically advanced future. Now, with the major event known as Anime Expo set to take place next month, Studio TRIGGER has announced that not only will it be participating, but that it will also premiere the first episode of the anime series, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners....
