WWE 2K22 was viewed as a “make or break” game for the business partnership between WWE and Take-Two Interactive (the parent company of 2K) according to a report that dropped prior to the game’s release. 2K Sports began publishing WWE’s annual series of console games beginning with WWE 2K14 in 2013, but it was reported earlier this month that the current deal between the two companies was only for six years and following the critical and financial flop of WWE 2K20 in 2019 the relationship was apparently on thin ice....

John Cena made his surprise return to WWE at the 2021 Money in the Bank pay-per-view last July to one of the loudest ovations in recent memory. And while the 16-time world champion generated a mixed reaction for the overwhelming majority of his run as WWE’s top star, the crowd reactions were almost universally positive throughout “The Summer of Cena,” culminating in him challenging Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship at SummerSlam in Las Vegas....

Jujutsu Kaisen has revealed some more details about Satoru Gojo’s new design for the Jujutsu Kaisen 0 movie! Following the end of the anime’s debut season, it was announced that Gege Akutami’s original manga series would be getting its own feature film next instead of a full second season of the TV anime. This new movie will also change things up a bit as it tackles a very important prequel story that will showcase some of the characters and major events that happened before Yuji Itadori joins the action in the main series....

Jujutsu Kaisen is currently enjoying some of its highest popularity ever, and it’s showing off some of its new stage play with a new poster highlighting the villains showing up in the new production! Thanks to the successful launch of the anime adaptation’s debut season and first feature film tearing its way through theaters, Gege Akutami’s original manga franchise is now one of the more notable series currently running in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine....

Mark Hamill is recording more of Skeletor with Kevin Smith for more of Netflix’s new Masters of the Universe anime series. Netflix announced they would be pushing further into the anime world in 2020, and this includes several new projects produced under their own anime umbrella. One of the biggest surprises in this regard was the reveal of Masters of the Universe: Revelation, a series set after the events of the original Filmation produced animated series from decades ago....

A new Marvel’s Avengers update is out on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, PC, and it will soon be out on PS4 and PS5, though Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics don’t say when exactly it will be out on the pair of PlayStation consoles. What they have revealed are the patch notes of the update, which in turn reveal several new features, tweaks to the campaign and multiplayer, adjustments to the combat, and more....

Sonic the Hedgehog 2 is coming to theaters in a few short weeks, and there’s been a lot of hype for the sequel thus far. Unsurprisingly, it seems that the movie will be getting its own Happy Meal promotion, featuring Tails, Knuckles, and two versions of Sonic. Unfortunately, it seems the promotion is currently limited to locations in Indonesia, as there has been no official announcement for North America, as of this writing....

Over the last few months, rumors have suggested that Nintendo Switch Online subscribers would gain access to games that originally released on Game Boy and Game Boy Advance. Those rumors seem to have gained a lot more steam, as Nintendo-developed emulators have apparently been discovered for the system. According to Twitter user @Trashbandatcoot, four files were leaked to 4chan, including a Game Boy emulator with the codename “Hiyoko” and a GBA emulator going by “Sloop....

A new Rocket League update is dropping tomorrow and it comes with a big surprise for Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, and Xbox Series X players. More specifically, Psyonix and Epic Games have announced that Haunted Hallows is returning tomorrow, October 14, and when it does, it’s bringing back the 2016 version of the Batmobile, something fans have been begging for. Accompanying the return of the popular vehicle, the 1989 version is also being brought back as is The Dark Knight’s Tumbler....

This past weekend saw the theatrical release of Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, the latest blockbuster within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The film was already making history for its Asian representation both in front of and behind the camera, and now the box office numbers have broken records as well, with a reported opening weekend gross of $90 million. The news was definitely welcome to Marvel fans and even other studios, especially as the theatrical box office has struggled due to the COVID-19 pandemic....

One of Stranger Things’ stars has called Season 4 the “most bizarre” ever. Sadie Sink sat down with People Magazine to talk about the massive upcoming silo of episodes on Netflix. She says that fans better buckle up because things are about to get weird. That should inspire a little bit of panic in the audience because the Stranger Things brand is nothing if not weird from the get-go. However, for the Max Mayfield actress, Season 4 takes the cake....

The Mad Titan Thanos is at the center of another Marvel mystery. The publisher released three new teaser images for Timeless, a special one-shot that will have a major impact on the Marvel Universe in 2022. Kang the Conqueror is currently billed as the top figure in Timeless, though Thanos and Doctor Doom loom large in the teaser images. Most eyes will focus on Thanos since his teaser features the Mad Titan wielding a weapon that is most likely not the Infinity Gauntlet at some point in the Marvel Universe’s future....

On Monday, news of Misha Green being tapped to write and direct the long awaited sequel to 2018’s Tomb Raider movie hit the Internet. There have been plenty of questions about Lara Croft’s next journey with Alicia Vikander expected to reprise the lead role. The film has been subject to delays and a simple lack of updates until Green was announced to be in charge of the next adventure. Now, Green has come out and confirmed her involvement in the upcoming film and offered up a little bit of a tease on what sort of story the Tomb Raider fans can expect from this one....

In hopes of establishing an otherworldly galaxy far, far away, filmmaker George Lucas included references to a variety of creatures and environments in the original Star Wars trilogy, with subsequent adventures allowing creatives to expand upon some of those pieces of information, as writer Gary Whitta recently detailed how one pitch for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story featured nerfs being herded on an alien planet. Eagle-eyed fans who had recognized the creatures in the films would have likely picked up on how this paid off Leia Organa’s attempts to insult Han Solo in Star Wars: The Empire Strick Back by calling him a “scruffy-looking nerf herder....

Games Workshop has announced a new magazine focused on Warhammer 40,000. Warhammer 40,000: Imperium is a new weekly hobby magazine focused on the popular miniatures tabletop game. Each issue will contain features about both the lore surrounding Warhammer 40,000 as well as practical articles about building and painting miniatures. Subscribers to Warhammer 40,000: Imperium will also receive various hobby tools and other goods. The standard subscription comes with tools, brushes, and art prints, while the premium subscription comes with two “sizable” armies of miniatures (a mix of Imperium forces and Necrons) plus terrain....

A new title update for Battlefield 2042 has now been pushed live by Electronic Arts and developer DICE. This is the second major update that the game has received since launching less than a week ago and aims to improve the overall gameplay experience that much more. And while much of this patch is focused on stomping out many lingering bugs and other issues that have started to appear in Battlefield 2042, there are some major balance tweaks as well....

The star of DC Comics’ upcoming Blue Beetle movie has already tried on his costume. Xolo Maridueña is currently kicking butt on Cobra Kai. But he told USA Today that he’s already had the pleasure of wearing an early version of the new uniform. In DC Comics’ upcoming picture, he’ll be playing Jaime Reyes. When news about this project dropped officially at DC FanDome, the Internet exploded. It seems as though the publisher and Warner Bros....

Last month came the official reveal that Kevin Smith’s Clerks III is happening and now the writer/director has confirmed production has begun! Smith took to social media yesterday to confirm that today (Monday, August 2nd) filming will begin on the new movie, a date which has multiple meanings for him. “Today is my last day of being 50. Tomorrow I turn 51 and we start shooting Clerks III,” Smith said in the video....

When the original Pokémon Snap was released in 1999 it was largely an anomaly, a game that was a spinoff to a juggernaut of a franchise but which removed most of the appeal and the gameplay assets of the original titles. You weren’t catching and raising these Pokemon and you weren’t fighting others to “be the best,” instead you were taking photos of them; that’s it. The game was a spinoff that probably shouldn’t have worked, but it did and became a fan-favorite for a generation of Pokémon trainers....

Dune will begin its march into theaters with an IMAX-exclusive preview later this month. On July 21st and 22nd, IMAX theaters in cities around the globe will screen a new look at Dune with never-before-seen footage, new music, and the look at the film’s next trailer. This will be the second attempt by Warner Bros. to make a powerful first impression with Dune following last year’s first trailer rollout hosted by Stephen Colbert....
