‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin says he’s lucky he had his last match in Dallas, the place where he started his career. Last night, the Texas Rattlesnake came out of retirement for an impromptu No Holds Barred match against Kevin Owens in the main event of Wrestlemania 38’s Saturday card. The match was a surprise mostly because it was a full “match” in which Austin took several bumps and even had to kick out of a stunner delivered by Kevin Owens himself....

Batman/Fortnite: Zero Point is officially in full swing, and the six-issue comic miniseries has already gained a lot of attention. The comic follows an unlikely crossover between Batman and other DC Comics characters with the world of Fortnite’s Battle Royale, and as fans have already seen, that results in some zany team-ups and character interactions. Even with characters like Batman, Catwoman, Harley Quinn, and Deathstroke expected to factor into the larger event, there are definitely a lot of additional DC Comics characters who could fit into the world of Fortnite — and it sounds like the series’ creative team wouldn’t be opposed to exploring those possibilities further....

The upcoming Demon Slayer video game Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles is set to release for the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam on October 15th and will be published by SEGA in the West, and while a number of iconic characters from the franchise have been revealed as part of the playable roster for the title, it has thus far largely focused on the Demon Slayer Corps members like Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inosuke....

HBO Max’s Peacemaker is a show that’s full of interesting little details, be them intentional references, clever Easter eggs, or even unexpected cameos. The most recent episode of Peacemaker, “Monkey Dory” saw a spotting of Ryan Reynolds’ gin brand, Aviation, in one scene while Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 actor Elizabeth Ludlow appeared in the episode as Leota Adebayo’s (Danielle Brooks) wife, Keeya as well. And Ludlow isn’t the only Guardians actor to appear in Peacemaker either....

Pixar’s latest exciting adventure Luca was originally slated to land in theaters, but due to the coronavirus pandemic and the closure of movie theaters around the globe, the film was instead unveiled on Disney+. While the film’s release also came with a handful of special features about the making of the movie, Luca will still be receiving a physical media release, jam-packed with supplemental materials for fans to immerse themselves even more fully in the experience....

Rent-a-Girlfriend has updated its release window for Season 2! The first season of the anime adaptation taking on Reiji Miyajima’s original Weekly Shonen Magazine series was one of the biggest hits of 2020. Although the release scheduled was generally light last year, the Summer season provided some of the biggest hits overall. Leading the pack was this unique romantic comedy series that followed a set of older characters than you would typically see in a seasonal anime release....

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is the first Marvel Studios film that is both a part of Phase 4 and set in the post-Avengers: Endgame era of the MCU. Spider-Man: Far From Home is dubbed an epilogue to the Infinity Saga as the final Phase 3 movie and Phase 4’s Black Widow movie is a prequel set prior to Avengers: Infinity War. Despite this, the early fan expectation of Shang-Chi was that it would be a self-contained story in an unexplored pocket of the MCU....

The series finale of Legacies may include an appearance from Joseph Morgan’s Klaus Mikaelson. Legacies was among a number of CW series canceled by the network earlier in the month, joining DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, Batwoman, Naomi, In the Dark, Dynasty, Charmed, and Roswell, New Mexico. June 16th marks the day Legacies wraps up Season 4, which also signals the end of The CW’s long-running The Vampire Diaries franchise. Legacies and The Originals are both spinoffs of The Vampire Diaries, with Morgan starring in Vampire Diaries and Originals....

Turning Red made some Spotify playlists for all the main characters in the movie. Over on Disney Canada’s page, you can check out what Meilin, Priya, Abby, and Miriam are listening to outside of the movie. Tons of people have become big fans of the quartet as they tried to help Mei navigate puberty. (There are some inspired selections, especially on Abby and Priya’s side of things. Evanessence anyone?) Moments like this just go to show fans that Turning Red really was a major moment on Disney+....

Blade fans are loving Wesley Snipes’ response to reappearing as the character. One fan asked if he would still be able to be the Marvel hero, and the actor had to assure them that he would always be Blade. Mahershalla Ali was famously introduced as the version of the vampire at San Diego Comic-Con 2019. It was a massive surprise from Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige. Speculation about what the plot would be and how it would tie into the larger MCU bubbled up that very same afternoon....

We’re just a day away from the debut of The Falcon & The Winter Soldier, the second Disney+ exclusive series set within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Before its two protagonists, Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) and Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan), dealt with the series’ globe-trotting adventure, the grave cosmic threats of Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, and a tiff between the Avengers in Captain America: Civil War, it’s worth acknowledging the film that first saw them share the screen — 2014’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier....

When Destiny 2 Season 17 begins, players can expect to see a number of changes to the game’s weapons. In a new edition of This Week at Bungie, the developer went into great deal about some of the changes fans can expect to see when Season 17 drops on May 24th. By the company’s own admission, these changes are a lot, and some players might not get a good idea of how they’ll work in the game until the update actually goes live....

Netflix has revealed the release date for Red Notice, the action-comedy film starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Ryan Reynolds, and Gal Gadot. Red Notice will premiere on Netflix on November 12th, getting an early lead on the Holiday movie season. The Rock revealed the Red Notice release date in a new social media post, in which Johnson states that “You’re officially on notice @Netflix’s biggest movie ever #REDNOTICE premieres in your living rooms around the globe on NOV 12 FBI’s top profiler....

Peacock’s Fresh Prince of Bel-Air reboot - titled Bel-Air - has announced its full cast. Based on the viral fan trailer created by Morgan Cooper (who also serves as executive producer, co-writer, and director of the reboot), Bel-Air updates of the story of Will Smith’s semi-autobiographical story for modern times. Morgan’s vision of the franchise is much deeper and more dramatic than the original ’90s sitcom, touching on race, class, wealth, sports, incarceration, hip-hop, and other concerns of modern African-American youth....

Rockstar Games may be bringing back a fan-favorite Grand Theft Auto character from GTA 4 via GTA Online and a future update to the PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, and Xbox Series X game. The origins of the speculation can be traced back to August, when Rockstar Games insider and dataminer, Tez2, relayed word that Rockstar Games had new and unused “variables that provide functionality for Nightclubs to work within a mission environment like contracts” in the files of GTA Online....

In the original 1999 movie, the machine-built simulation is literally a mirage to imprison the human race so they become living batteries, and by that same token it can be seen as a stand-in for expectations ingrained in society or countless other readings. Furthermore, The Matrix has shades of countless other kernels of truth and philosophy, something the Wachowskis would explore breathlessly, sometimes to a fault, in its sequels....

Sunday’s WWE NXT WarGames event ended with Team 2.0 (Bron Breakker, Carmelo Hayes, Tony D’Angelo and Grayson Waller) defeating Team Black & Gold (Tommaso Ciampa, Johnny Gargano, Pete Dunne and LA Knight) inside WarGames. However, the big story surrounding the match was Gargano’s contract status with the WWE. News broke recently that the first-ever NXT Triple Crown Champion had signed a one-week extension on his WWE deal and (based on a report that dropped just before the pay-per-view) all signs pointed to him leaving the company....
