Twitch made the decision to respond to the social media outcry after fans discovered those messages. Over the last 10 months, you could barely operate on most social media without encountering the PogChamp meme....

Agatha Harkness hasn’t lost her magic touch. A surprise series order for Agatha: House of Harkness, a WandaVision spinoff starring Kathryn Hahn as the titular villain, is the most-liked Marvel Studios reveal out of Disney+ Day. The virtual event celebrating two years of Disney+ announced new series and previewed content coming to the service, revealing the first looks at Secret Invasion, She-Hulk, and Moon Knight. But the winner was Agatha all along: a title treatment announcing the Agatha Harkness series bewitched Twitter with the most likes of Disney+ Day on the @DisneyPlus and @Marvel social media accounts....

Fans of American Gods received bad news this week as Starz declined to renew the show for a fourth season. However, reports have suggested that a miniseries or movie could wrap up the remaining dangling plot threads from the show’s three-season run. Neil Gaiman, the show’s executive producer and author of the novel on which it is based, confirmed that the project isn’t dead yet despite not receiving a fourth season pickup....

Among Us developer InnerSloth announced last year that the game will be coming to PlayStation and Xbox platforms, but it currently remains exclusive to Nintendo Switch, PC, and mobile devices. InnerSloth has been quietly working on these versions of the game, and today, the official Twitter account offered a brief update on all things Among Us. Sadly, it seems that there is still no launch date to announce for PlayStation or Xbox....

One hit Netflix game show has been renewed for Season 2. On the social media accounts for the bran, they announced a brand new season of Is It Cake? The hot show was birthed from a series of memes on different platforms where ordinary objects ended up being cake when cut. Saturday Night Live’s Mikey Day hosts the show where bakers try to replicate an item and the judges have to guess which one is actually cake....

Pokemon card shortages are continuing to create disruptions at retail stores, as several pieces of Pokemon card merchandise are now being sold via a lottery system due to overwheming demand in Japan. Last week, Creatures, Inc., the company responsible for developing and producing the Pokemon Trading Card Game, announced that it was implementing a lottery to purchase several box sets and decks related to the upcoming “Eevee Heroes” expansion. Fans can enter the lottery for free until May 18th, with winners able to purchase the items beginning the following week....

News broke on Monday that James Guffey, better known in the pro wrestling world as Jimmy Rave, died on Sunday. Debuting in 1999, the Georgia native was best known for his time in Ring of Honor and TNA/Impact Wrestling. While the press release announcing his passing did not confirm a cause of death, it did mention Guffey’s struggles with drug addiction. Due to infections, he was required to have both his left arm and both legs amputed within the last two years....

Nintendo’s Mario Kart Tour has been a huge success since its release in 2019, and has now reached an impressive new milestone: the game has been downloaded more than 200 million times worldwide! The news was revealed by Sensor Tower, alongside the game’s current lifetime revenue, which has now passed $200 million. From April 1st, 2020 through March 31st, 2021, the game generated $93 million in revenue for the company. That figure makes it Nintendo’s second-biggest earner during that period, behind Fire Emblem Heroes....

Marvel’s Avengers not only revealed their next hero during the Square Enix Presents event, but they finally revealed a content roadmap for the majority of the year, and there’s a lot to look forward to. In addition to today’s new Future Imperfect Hawkeye Operation and next-gen update (both of which are live now), the road map shows the new content will be hitting during the spring season and well into the summer, culminating with the first major expansion for the game titled War For Wakanda....

If a new rumor is to be believed, Sony’s successor to PlayStation VR for PlayStation 5 will arrive in 2022. Additionally, the device will have a Fresnel OLED screen with HDR, a 2000 x 2040 resolution for each eye, and a 110-degree field of vision. The device will be compatible with AAA games that will have the option of VR. Apparently, these details were revealed during “a supposed closed-door developer conference,” and was shared on Twitter by @Okami13_, who has a fairly strong track record when it comes to these types of rumors....

Over the course of development, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker underwent a major evolution before the film eventually landed in theaters, with Chewbacca actor Joonas Suotamo’s book “Roar!” - My Life as a Wookiee detailing that he and co-star Adam Driver filmed a scene in which Kylo Ren tortured Chewbacca for information about the Resistance. While Suotamo might not have all the answers about why the scene didn’t make it into the theatrical cut, he though that the intensity of Kylo Ren might have been even too dark for the character, potentially making his salvation as Ben Solo hard to believe....

Flash Gordon is getting a live-action movie written by Taika Waititi now and fans are excited. John Davis and John Fox are aboard to produce according to Collider. They talked to the Jungle Crusie producer and he explained how the project had evolved over time. “Taika is writing it. It was a movie that was a huge influence on him growing up,” Davis said. “It is one of his favorite movies....

A terrifying Morbius motion billboard is going viral on social media. The undead version of Jared Leto’s character rips through the poster and looks out at the people walking below. If you didn’t know it was coming, the sight would undoubtedly catch you off guard. It’s been a long road to theaters for the Sony vehicle, so they’re putting on the full court press with so few days to the premiere....

Since then both Cross and her husband Killian Dain have popped up on social media to shed some new light on the gimmick, including what it was originally going to look like and how long Cross has been working on it. Apex Legends Season 9 – “Legacy” – recently launched, and it included some pretty beefy updates to the popular free-to-play battle royale video game, including a new permanent Arenas mode, the addition of the new Legend Valkyrie, and more. In Japan, plenty of anime franchises have taken to the stage to give fans a live-action performance documenting their colorful characters and explosive action, and it seems as if Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is following suit, with a brand new poster arriving online. The Shonen series’ manga has been one of the most popular in the world today, even with the story of Tanjiro, Nezuko, and the other members of the Demon Slayer Corps recently coming to a close, so it’s definitely no surprise to see its popularity is allowing the story to come to the stage....

Disney World’s immersive Star Wars hotel will open early next year. Disney Parks just announced that the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser will open on March 1, 2022. Fans can start booking their trip beginning on October 28, 2021. Disney Vacation Club members, Disney Passholders and Disney Visa Cardmembers will also be contacted for a “special booking opportunity” in the coming weeks. The new hotel is unlike anything else as Disney World, as it immerses visitors in a Star Wars story that plays out over the course of two days....

The final film of the Rebuild of Evangelion franchise, Evangelion 3.0 + 1.0: Thrice Upon A Time, has hit the ground floor running since hitting theaters in Japan earlier this year, and the creators at Studio Khara have taken the opportunity to recreate tiny models of locales from the anime film. When Thrice Upon A Time was released in theaters, its first day saw it shattering records when it came to IMAX box office profits, and while it might not be within swinging distance of Demon Slayer: Mugen Train’s profits, it definitely will be a solid entry of the series....
