All Elite Wrestling’s Tony Khan officially announced on Tuesday that the company has signed 23-year-old Daniel Garcia to a full-time contract. Best known for his work in various Northeast promotions, Garcia first debuted in AEW in September 2020 with a pair of matches on AEW Dark. He returned to the promotion in May for a few more dark matches, but by August he had gained enough notoriety to be booked on an episode of AEW Dynamite for a six-man tag match involving 2....

The CW has released a preview for “Summer School: Chapter Nine”, the ninth episode of DC’s Stargirl’s second season. The episode is set to air on Tuesday, October 5th. While much has been made of this episode being the big “crossover” of sorts that will see John Wesley Shipp appear as Jay Garrick, the original The Flash of the Justice Society of America in a pivotal flashback, the preview gives a bit more insight into what’s going on in the present....

In Elden Ring, players encounter a number of unique and awesome enemies. It seems that FromSoftware may have had cut plans for those opponents, and dataminers have uncovered some interesting hints about what might have been. On Twitter, @JesterPatches shared images from the game’s files that they originally believed pointed to plans for a bestiary. In total, @JesterPatches uncovered 64 icons, with each one having two different versions, one of which is darkened in....

Lewis “Kelly” Flock, Sony Online Entertainment’s former president, has passed away. According to Venture Beat, Flock had been ill prior to his passing. While Flock might not be a household name among gamers, it’s clear that the executive had a massive impact on the industry as a whole. Following Flock’s passing, a number of people in the gaming industry shared their condolences on social media, including David Jaffe, the creator of PlayStation franchises such as God of War and Twisted Metal....

Over the decades, Godzilla has fought his fair shares of opponents, with last year seeing him battle against Kong and Mechagodzilla in the latest film from Legendary Pictures’ MonsterVerse. A new leak has revealed exclusive content Rockstar Games is prepping for the PS5, Xbox Series S, and Xbox Series X versions of the game, which are currently scheduled to release sometime between now and the end of March. New content shouldn’t surprise Grand Theft Auto fans anticipating these versions of the game, as Rockstar Games has pitched these versions as “expanded and enhanced” versions. Magic: The Gathering announced that it was “suspending future work” with an artist accursed of plagiarising art used on a recently announced card. Wizards of the Coast announced that it would be suspending its relationship with Jason Felix, a well-known artist who has provided over 150 illustrations for Magic: The Gathering cards, after another artist pointed out that a significant portion of Felix’s artwork on the recently announced Crux of Fate seemed to be copied directly off of their fan art....

Mario Party Superstars released on Nintendo Switch back in October. The game got a day one patch, but has received nothing since. That’s pretty atypical these days, but a new update is now live, bringing the game up to version 1.1.1. Sadly, there isn’t anything too significant in this update, but it does include a number of bug fixes for a handful of minigames, as well as some improvements for the online features....

New Pokemon Snap has an Easter egg for the latest Pokemon movie that raises some weird continuity questions. Players are still winding their way through the Lental region of New Pokemon Snap and its many secret routes and surprise encounters a month after its release. One Easter egg has recently picked up attention, as it ties into a Pokemon movie not yet released in the United States. One of the areas players can explore is Professor Mirror’s base camp, which includes a brief jaunt into Mirror’s lab....

The Seven Deadly Sins is looking to hit the silver screen with its upcoming film, Cursed By Light, and the newest poster shows us that the series might be wrapping up its story with some big revelations, including what appears to be our first sighting of the child of Meliodas and Elizabeth. While the last season of the anime landed as Dragon’s Judgement earlier this year in Japan, the creator Nakaba Suzuki mentioned that the story is set to have some big surprises in store for the movie that will hit the East on July 2nd....

Bandai Namco has released a new trailer for the upcoming video game Tales of Arise that highlights the Mystic Artes for various playable characters in the latest and greatest entry in the long-running franchise. The trailer, which is seemingly only available in Japanese for the moment but will likely eventually have an English version, highlights the Mystic Artes abilities for Alphen, Shionne, Rinwell, and Law. It seems like the promotional machine is kicking into full steam ahead as Bandai Namco gears up for Tales of Arise to release later this year for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam on September 10th....

Recently Sony Pictures confirmed the home media release for their recent film Ghostbusters: Afterlife and alongside it they confirmed plans for a Ghostbusters: Ultimate Collection, a 4K box set that will include Ghostbusters, Ghostbusters II, and Ghostbusters: Afterlife. Notice anything missing? Ghostbusters (2016), or Ghostbusters: Answer the Call as it was later titled, is nowhere to be found, and considering how integral that film was to getting Afterlife made, as director Jason Reitman himself admitted, it’s quite surprising....

When I think about the eras of DC Comics that are near and dear to my heart, the 1980s always stands out. Sure, the decade was filled with bombastic, genre-defining crossover events and maxiseries, but the periphery of the publisher’s outputs was a showcase of an unparalleled amount of creativity. In the ’80s, it felt like any costumed character could (and realistically, did) get their own several-issue miniseries or short-lived ongoings, expanding out their worlds and supporting casts far beyond fans’ expectations....

Pokemon Journeys has recently featured some big names returning to the world of Ash Ketchum and Goh, with the former recently being reunited with his Pokemon that he has collected over his long journey to becoming one of the best trainers the world has ever seen, and it seems as if the champion of the Unova Region has been revealed. With Ash still attempting to defeat the Galar Region’s trainers, including that locale’s current champion in Leon, it’s clear that Ketchum has another big roadblock standing in his way and the champion of Unova might be far more familiar than he realizes....

While there are still plenty of mysteries about Spider-Man: No Way Home for fans to speculate about and pick apart as the weeks run down until the film hits theaters, there is one thing that trailers and footage from the eagerly-anticipated film have made a certainty.
