AEW’s Double or Nothing concluded in epic fashion as CM Punk defeated Hangman Adam Page to become the new AEW World Champion. It’s the first time Punk has held the Title in AEW, but there could be a shakeup coming. Punk just revealed he will be making a major announcement on tonight’s AEW Rampage, and he says it will involve the AEW World Championship. That would be big news on its own, but there are also some reports indicating that Punk might have been injured at Double or Nothing, so that could end up being related to the announcement....

Last week finally saw the release of the big 2.0.0 update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons on Nintendo Switch, as well as the debut of the Happy Home Paradise DLC. Fans really seem to be enjoying the new content, but there have been a number of bugs reported over the last few days. Now, with the fall schedule about kick-off, the network has announced new details for the eagerly-anticipated special as well as exactly when fans can expect everyone’s favorite loveable blue “Cuddle Me” plush to save the most festive of holidays. On Monday, The CW revealed that Beebo Saves Christmas will air on Wednesday, December 1 at 8/7c with an encore presentation of the special set to air on Tuesday, December 21 at 8/7c....

With the upcoming Spider-Man: No Way Home bringing villains from both Sam Raimi and Marc Webb’s Spider-Man films - and plenty of rumors that past iterations of the hero, namely the Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield versions, will also appear in the film - there’s one part of the live-action Spider-Man legacy that isn’t going to be part of the film and they’re pretty disappointed by it. Kenneth Welsh, an actor best known for his work on projects such as Twin Peaks, The Aviator, and Star Trek: Discovery, has passed away at the age of 80. The news was initially broken by the official Twitter account for ACTRA Toronto, who called Welsh “one of Canada’s all-time great performers, with hundreds of memorable roles spanning decades.” CTV News has confirmed Welsh’s passing as well, with his agency revealing he died on Thursday, May 5, 2022....

Marvel Studios’ latest film to hit theaters, Eternals, continues to perform well at the box office with the film having crossed $300 million at the global box office, but even with the success of the film, there are some criticisms. The film is the worst-rated in the MCU on Rotten Tomatoes with one of the criticisms being its length. Now, filmmaker and pop culture fan Kevin Smith is weighing in with his thoughts on Eternals and he, too, has thoughts about the film’s length....

Marvel’s Armor Wars might have a filming start date according to the latest reports. Production weekly listed the series getting the cameras rolling in May of this year through December. But, according to Lizzie Hill of My Cosmic Circus, the filming should begin from October 2022 until November. Now, that’s pretty quickly and would be very surprising. In all of the recent interviews about the Disney+ show, series star Don Cheadle says that there’s not a lot to share about Armor Wars just yet....

Mike Tyson will be a special guest at the Starrcast V pro wrestling fan convention next month in Nashville as the former heavyweight boxing champion will take part in The Roast of Ric Flair. The roast is scheduled for July 29, two days before Flair steps into the ring for what is being billed as his final match as he teams with FTR to face The Rock N’ Roll Express and a yet-to-be-named opponent....

Paige (real name Saraya-Jade Bevis) recently announced that her WWE contract is set to expire in early July and that she’ll be officially leaving the promotion. The former Divas Champion and SmackDown General Manager has already teased getting back in the ring for the first time since her neck injuries forced her to retire back in late 2017 and has since been booked for a pair of big appearances. The first is that she’s heading back to her families promotion, World Association of Wrestling, in Norfolk, England and the announcement is teasing her doing something beyond simply making an appearance....

Peter Palmer has passed away at age 90. The actor was best known for originating the titular role in the 1956 Broadway musical Li’l Abner, a role he would later play on film in 1959. Last week sparked some major updates with regards to Shazam! Fury of the Gods, with the DC sequel having its release date moved up six months earlier than previously planned. The live-action film will now be opening on December 16, 2022 as opposed to June 2, 2023, which has only ignited even more speculation and excitement regarding whatever secrets it might have in store. Among them is the mysterious “key role” that will be portrayed by West Side Story and Snow White’s Rachel Zegler, which fans have begun to hope could be a significant character within the lore of DC Comics....

For most of 2020 major professional wrestling companies were unable to run events with live fans in attendance. The Amazing Spider-Man star Rhys Ifans is shedding light on the Lizard’s return in Spider-Man: No Way Home. The sequel set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe pits Peter Parker (Tom Holland) against multiversal villains​ from other worlds, including Green Goblin (Spider-Man’s Willem Dafoe) and Doctor Octopus (Spider-Man 2’s Alfred Molina). Anne Rice, the author of the popular Interview With the Vampire series, has passed away from complications due to a stroke. She was 80 years old.
