Last year’s journey to Spider-Man: No Way Home was a long one as folks eagerly waited to find out if former Spider-Man stars, Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire, were going to make an appearance. There was a lot of lying involved, but when the movie was finally released in December, Garfield and Maguire were able to surprise fans by being a major part of the film. The movie ended up having the second-best opening weekend in history, earned over $1....

Several Star Trek: Picard cast members have said goodbye to the series following Thursday’s second season finale. Alison Pill previously stated she is not involved in the show’s third and final season. Similarly, her co-stars Santiago Cabrera, Isa Briones, and Evan Evagora each posted to their respective Instagram accounts to confirm that their time on Star Trek: Picard is over. While the exits are unexpected for fans, the show would have been pretty crowded in its final season with these cast members and The Next Generation cast returning for more than cameos....

In the video, Burns addressed his 2002 departure from the series as well as uplifted viewers, applauding their accomplishments and changes since they last “met”, and told them he never forgot them and he was “super glad” they were still friends. It was a moving, emotional video that has gone viral with over 35 million views on Twitter at the time of this article’s writing, but Burns wasn’t done making the internet tear up just yet....

The end is nearing for Stranger Things, with the hit Netflix series bracing itself for a multi-part return, before concluding with its upcoming fifth season. The streaming service has continued to ramp up excitement for the series in the form of various trailers and teasers, including one that was just released last week. Fans have been eagerly decoding as many aspects as possible from the trailer, and they might have discovered a series of hidden Easter eggs along the way....

The Walking Dead star Chandler Riggs (who is recovering from a recent surgery) head to Twitter this week to bash Robinhood for their choices in blocking stock buying and selling. A mad rush of purchasing of stock in GameStop, AMC, Nokia, and other stocks prompted by a Reddit rally which became a social media phenomenon has now seen Robinhood halt buying and selling. GameStop, AMC, Nokia, Blackberry, and other stocks are no longer being made available on the app which is driving the prices back down and Riggs (along with many others) is speaking out about it....

AMC Theatres is set to roll out a ton of laser projectors to thousands of theaters. The company announced their intention to bring their locations into the future with the move. Just a year into a return to theaters, one of the big chains is betting on $250,000,000 in investments. 3,500 auditoriums will get the benefit of these new laser projectors. Cinionic will help partner in the transition for AMC. The exhibitor is promising “improved picture contrast, maximum picture brightness, and more vivid colors” for visitors....

Black Clover has revealed Asta’s upcoming post-timeskip look for the anime! In the original release of Yuki Tabata’s manga, Asta and a few other members of the Clover Kingdom trained alongside the Heart Kingdom for the coming battle against the Spade Kingdom’s Dark Triad. While the anime spent some time setting up this training (even going as far to show some of it in action) the manga instead skipped forward six months and revealed how Asta and the others had changed in that time....

Black Panther will be visiting the X-Men, and it promises to be something of a tense reunion! The X-Men’s entire universe has been transformed in the last few years: mutants have all united to establish their own nation (the mutant island of Krakoa), culture, and even a religion that transcends death itself; even more recently, mutants terraformed the planet Mars and claimed it as their second nation, Arrako! It is Mars that Black Panther will travel to, as he seeks an audience with the planet’s new mutant ruler (and his former queen) Storm!...

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War players were surprised this week with a new update that was said to introduce a fan-favorite map and more, but when the update was set to go live, they got another surprise: The map wasn’t in it. The map known as WMD which hails from the original Call of Duty: Black Ops game was pushed to another update in the future, Treyarch said after the update had gone live in part....

Josh Peck is currently starring in the new Disney+ series, Turner & Hooch, which is based on the 1989 movie of the same name that starred Tom Hanks and a Bordeaux Mastiff. Long before Peck was working with Disney, the actor was known for his roles in various Nickelodeon projects starting with Snow Day and The Amanda Show and eventually his big hit, Drake & Josh, which he starred in alongside Drake Bell....

My Hero Academia’s fifth season is now in full swing as the first two episodes of the new season have not only reintroduced fans to the extended cast of characters, but wrapped the final moments of the Pro Hero arc lingering from the fourth season. The next episode of the series will officially start the first truly new arc of the season, and it’s got some fairly unique match ups coming our way....

Pokemon Legends: Arceus will feature a post-game quest involving a Mythical Pokemon, provided that players have save data from another Pokemon game on their Nintendo Switch. Today, The Pokemon Company revealed that Pokemon Legends: Arceus players who have save data from Pokemon Sword and Shield will be able to take on a research request that results in the chance to add the Mythical Pokemon Shaymin to their team. Additionally, players will be able to claim a Shaymin Kimono Set designed after the Pokemon....

SEGA has announced that Sonic the Hedgehog and Tails are both being added to the upcoming video game Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania as playable characters. The announcement follows previous leaks and teases that Sonic would come to the video game in addition to the reveal that Jet Set Radio’s Beat would feature as a playable character. It’s unclear what other special guest characters might be revealed next, but given that there is still a couple of months before Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania releases on October 5th, SEGA could very well still have an impressive roster to share piece by piece in the near future....

LiSA might be best known for creating the record-shattering intro to the anime adaptation of Koyoharu Gotouge’s Demon Slayer, but the singer/songwriter is also lending her talents in the next entry of the digital isekai series that has become one of the biggest of its genre, Sword Art Online. With the next film in the series set to arrive in both Japan and North America later this year, Sword Art Online Progressive: Aria of a Starless Night has revealed the new music video by LiSA to get fans ready for the return of the world of Kirito and Asuna....

MagicMobile service, a contactless way to enter the park and check into experiences, just got revealed by Walt Disney World. The Disney Parks blog talks about the new technology and how it will change the user experience for guests on the ground. The My Disney Experience app will help people create a Disney MagicMobile pass on their smart device. From there, you can access most features in the park by merely holding your phone or another device up to an access point....

AEW Dynamite’s return to road proved to be eventful on Wednesday night. After the show dealt with a power outage in the opening bout between Cody Rhodes & QT Marshall (later revealed to be WWE’s Aleister Black, now Malakai Black) Chris Jericho and MJF had their face-to-face briefly interrupted when a fan tried to enter the ring. Well, it seems as when “Judas” was playing a fan tried to jump the ring....

Since 1981, the Golden Raspberry Awards AKA The Razzies have been the season’s “anti-Oscars.” Sure, it can be fun to watch the worst movies of the year get knocked down (we’re all guilty of a little schadenfreude now and then), but the mean-spiritedness of the Razzies would be an easier pill to swallow if they weren’t constantly getting things wrong....
