As previously announced, the PlayStation Showcase 2021 is set to take place later this week on Thursday, September 9th at 1PM PT/4PM ET. Exactly what will be making an appearance during the event is largely unknown beyond the fact that it will be 40 minutes focused on the PlayStation 5 with a heavy emphasis on titles set to release this holiday and beyond from both PlayStation Studios and other developers. And according to original God of War creator David Jaffe, it’s going to be quite the event and it’s possible one game he is aware of could be unveiled – and if it is, people will lose their minds....

Back in 2019, when Disney purchased Fox, the possibilities were endless. The studio gained the rights to a wide array of characters that included a bunch of Marvel figures and all of the animated series that 20th Century Fox produced. Before the merger, 20th Century Fox was developing a film based on their Bob’s Burgers animated series, and it was originally touted for a July 2020 release date. The film would go on to be pushed back due to the COVID-19 pandemic and will finally hit theaters this month....

After months of rumors, The Suicide Squad breakout Daniela Melchior has finally been confirmed for Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 3, playing an as-yet-undisclosed role. The one thing we know is that she will not be playing Moondragon, a rumor that briefly circulated before being debunked by James Gunn, who directed both The Suicide Squad and the Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy. Gunn confirmed Melchior’s involvement via a social media post announcing the end of filming on vol....

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson took to Twitter over the weekend to react to a shocking moment from a recent MLS match that saw a goalie nail one of his opponents with a picture-perfect Rock Bottom. During a game between Sporting KC and the Seattle Sounders goalkeeper Tim Melia was attempting to defend an oncoming attack from Seattle’s offense, only for Sounders forward Cristian Roldan to try and block him from inside the goal area....

All Elite Wrestling booked its first two matches for the May 30 Double or Nothing pay-per-view during this week’s AEW Dynamite. Early in the show it was confirmed that Hikaru Shida would defend her AEW Women’s World Championship against Britt Baker, who recently reached the No. 1 contender spot after Shida’s defense against Tay Conti. Shida won the title at last year’s Double or Nothing and as the company’s longest-reigning champion has defended it against Penelope Ford, Thunder Rosa, Big Swole, Rose, Anna Jay, Abadon, Ryo Mizunami and Conti....

The heroes of the new Justice Society of America have had a difficult time of things since their defeat of the Injustice Society at the end of Season 1 of DC’s Stargirl. While they stopped the ISA from mind-controlling Blue Valley and the rest of the country to twist it into their own view of what America should be, it’s come at personal cost. Last week, Yolanda/Wildcat (Yvette Monreal) finally confessed to the team that she killed Brainwave (Christopher James Baker), but ended up leaving the team after the guilt became too much and realizing she’s the only one who is capable of killing....

A new update on Dragon Age 4 has been shared by BioWare and EA, and it has both good news and bad news. The bad news is that the game won’t be at The Game Awards 2021 next week. As you may remember, the game was first revealed back in 2018, at The Game Awards. Heading into this year’s show, there’s been speculation the game will rear its head once again, but turns out this speculation is off the mark....

However, production on Marvel’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness never stopped and now, the film’s star Benedict Cumberbatch is opening up about the impressive feat, talking about the efforts that went into keeping the cameras rolling....

Lucky The Pizza Dog decided to steal a slice from another dog in an adorable video this week. Jolt plays the character on Hawkeye, and it seems that the pup loves pizza in real life too. Another dog was enjoying some cheese and then Jolt came in to secure his birthright. (After all, Pizza Dog is more of a title than an actual name right?) All of the followers on Instagram were tickled by the short clip....

One of Daredevil’s actresses reacted to the show joining Disney+. Fans are still over the moon about the announcement, and you could count Amy Rutberg in on the celebration. On Twitter, the Marci Stahl actress posed on the beach in a new Disney+ hat. Coyly, the Daredevil star asked her followers, “Heard any cool news lately?” It should be noted that she shouted out the Save Daredevil movement there at the end too....

A new tweet from a NetherRealm Studios developer has Mortal Kombat and Injustice fans going mad with speculation. Ever since it released Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate back in November, NetherRealm Studios has been quiet. In the place of this silence, there have been rumors and “leaks” pointing towards more DLC characters coming to the aforementioned game this year, but right now, these are just rumors and leaks. Meanwhile, there’s reason to believe Injustice 3 will be revealed (and released) very soon....

Filming on Disney+’s Ms. Marvel series has been underway for several months now, and fans have definitely been curious to see how it will bring the story of Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel (Iman Vellani) into live-action. While a lot of details surrounding the Marvel Cinematic Universe series are still relatively under wraps, set photos and videos have gradually begun to provide a look at the series – including a look at Kamala’s ode to one of her favorite superheroes....

Q-Force is coming to Netflix and the streamer has released a full trailer for the LGBTQ hero team. For this project, they’ve enlisted the services of Wanda Sykes, Sean Hayes, and Patti Harrison, and Matt Rogers. There will be 10 episodes of the animated series that focus on an intelligence task force completely comprised of people in the LGBTQ community. There are drag queen and twink jokes in the trailer. People online seem to be generally willing to give it a shot....

Netflix just released a brand new trailer for Season 3 of You on social media. Fans have been waiting for these new episodes for a while. Earlier this year, Netflix indicated it would be a big fall and the hits are just steady rolling out. Penn Badgley is back as Joe Goldberg and Victoria Pedretti’s Love Quinn also returns. The shocking resolution to Season 2 saw Joe understand that he was going to be a father....

The first look at Only Murders in the Building Season 2 is finally here. Vanity Fair managed to snag some snapshots of the Hulu show today. The mystery is finally continuing for the streamer after a surprising delightful first season on the platform. Only Murders in the Building has always had a bit of a meta edge. The podcast conceit and how true crime really is weaved into the fabric of the script always felt referential to the mountain of content that inhabits the airwaves....

Pokemon Unite could be adding a new game mode or feature soon, which will allow players to capture and use the wild Pokemon who roam around the maps. The dataminer ElChicoEevee discovered game assets that indicate players will soon have the ability to capture and control the wild Pokemon on Pokemon Unite’s map. The datamine included image assets tied to various wild Pokemon’s moves, which are displayed on the HUD for players to use when controlling their Pokemon....

Saginaw Grant died at 85 and fans are sad about the passing of The Lone Ranger star. Younger viewers might also know him from Breaking Bad. Lani Carmichael is Grant’s publicist and confirmed the news with the AP. His cause of death is listed as natural causes. He was born in Oklahoma back in 1936 and was a common name in TV and on the big screen beginning in the 1980s....

In a series known to push storytelling ambitions, Season 3 of Westworld was arguably the series’ biggest gamble, as it took the exploits of the Western-themed narrative out of this setting and brought the attractions’ sentient robots, or “hosts,” into the dystopic real world. While this pivot surely provided the series with a number of new storytelling avenues, it also resulted in the most cumbersome and complex journey the series has seen yet....

Riddle fought his way through two grueling matches on this week’s Monday Night Raw to try and earn Randy Orton a spot in the Money in the Bank Ladder Match, but by the end of the night, it was Drew McIntyre who took the final Raw spot. This week’s episode started off with Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville explaining that Orton could not compete in a scheduled triple threat match on Raw, but Riddle convinced them that if he won the show-opening battle royal he’d be able to fight for Orton’s spot in the match with AJ Styles and Drew McIntyre....

Malakai Black (fka Aleister Black) made his shocking arrival in AEW last week and firmly established on Wednesday night at AEW Fyter Fest that he’ll be working as a heel. The former NXT Champion battered both Arn Anderson and Cody Rhodes with his Black Mass finisher last week, prompting a pull-apart brawl with “The American Nightmare” midway through this week’s show. Black revealed during a recent Twitch stream that his current heel persona is what he always wanted to do when he first showed up in NXT, but Triple H envisioned him as a babyface....
