The Internet feels like it’s evolving at an ever-growing rate, with a countless number of new memes and terms becoming part of popular culture. For those who were computer savvy in the late 1990s and early 2000s, a certain mascot became part of that vernacular — the Microsoft office assistant Clippy. The mascot has raised to a level of infamy ever since its first unveiling, with its cartoony design and almost-too-helpful suggestions being fuel for an array of different jokes....

In DC’s “The World Needs Heroes” clip, the narration of Keaton’s gritty-voiced Bruce Wayne plays as Justice Leaguer Barry Allen (Ezra Miller) time travels through the Speed Force into another dimension. Though Keaton doesn’t appear in the 60-second clip featuring scenes from DC’s 2022 roster of The Batman, Black Adam, and Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, the Bat-voice not heard since 1992’s Batman Returns is enough to get fans emotional ahead of Keaton’s 30-years-later return in The Flash....

The 34th annual WWE Royal Rumble took place Sunday night inside the WWE ThunderDome. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this marked the first time the event has taken with no live fans in attendance. But between an intense WWE Championship match between Drew McIntyre and Goldberg, an over the top championship match between Kevin Owens and Roman Reigns and two Rumble matches full of surprise returns, WWE fans got the most bang for their buck when it comes to a Network subscription....

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate’s Fighter’s Pass Vol. 2 DLC has just one fighter yet to be revealed, but a strange listing on Nintendo’s official Facebook account has fans speculating that we might actually see three fighters, instead! When Pyra/Mythra was revealed, a Facebook post claimed that “with their addition, there will be 84 fighters in the Smash Bros. Ultimate roster.” On the game’s official website, Pyra and Mythra are counted as fighters 79 and 80, respectively, and Kazuya is in spot 81....

The Seven Deadly Sins has revealed three new cast additions for its upcoming feature film, Cursed By Light! Although The Seven Deadly Sins’ fourth and final season (five if you consider the OVA episodes like Netflix’s international release does), Dragon’s Judgment, is currently making its way toward its end amidst the Spring 2021 schedule of new anime releases, the anime franchise will be far from over. Long before this new season even reached its second cour of episodes, however, The Seven Deadly Sins had officially announced that the franchise will be releasing a new feature film set after the events of this final season....

Tony Khan announced on Wednesday night just before AEW Dynamite that the All Out pay-per-view has lost one of its most anticipated matches. Khan tweeted that, due to travel issues, the Pac vs. Andrade El Idolo match has been postponed to a later episode of AEW Rampage. As a result, the Casino Women’s Battle Royale will now take place on the main card. The match was supposed to be El Idolo’s pay-per-view debut for the promotion and his second AEW match overall....

Shrek 4D is closing and Universal Studios fans found out today. Multiple outlets are reporting that the attraction in Orlando will be shuttering its doors in 2022. Universally Driven managed to get a copy of the memo to the staff members and now people from all over the country are sharing their memories of the familiar stop at the theme park. Any of these destinations changing rides around and opting for more modern attractions is hardly a new idea....

For the first time, all past seasons of The Walking Dead are free to stream all month long on multiple platforms. As part of AMC’s #ReWatchingDead leading up to the eleventh and final season of The Walking Dead — premiering August 15 on AMC+ and August 22 on AMC — all 153 episodes of the zombie drama are now streaming across several services, just in time for binge-watching. The month-long event comes days after all 22 episodes of The Walking Dead Season 10 became available on Netflix, where the complete series continues to stream for subscribers of that service....

Marvel’s What If…? is continuing to chug along through its inaugural outing on Disney+, with four of nine episodes already having premiered on the streamer. The latest episode was titled “What If…Doctor Strange Lost His Heart Instead of His Hands?,” and took fans of the MCU on an adventure where Christine Palmer (Rachel McAdams) was killed in the car accident that initially ruined Strange’s hands in Doctor Strange. The XFL and NFL are teaming up to research ways to make the game of football safer for its players. Dwayne Johnson purchased the XFL out of bankruptcy back in August 2020 from WWE CEO/Chairman Vince McMahon. Johnson and XFL co-owner Dany Garcia set a 2022 return date for the league, but unfortunately had to cancel the season due to negotiations with the CFL. The XFL’s new partnership with the NFL will look to increase opportunities for player development on and off the field with a focus on health and safety, international football development, officiating, and the testing of game rules for player protection....

The world of blockbuster movies seems to be changing on a regular basis, as the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and the rise of the Delta variant have led to many films having to change or shift their release strategy. Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 launched just a few days ago, bringing Dr. Strange and Prowler into the game. In case you somehow missed it, Magic: The Gathering Arena is set to release a new set called Jumpstart: Historic Horizons this month that will, for the first time, add a bunch of new cards with mechanics that will not be available at all in the printed game. The card and mechanics take advantage of the digital nature of Magic: The Gathering Arena in order to provide benefits and bonuses that could only really work thanks to how Arena functions....

As movie-going faces another uphill battle with the rise of the Delta variant of COVID-19, Marvel Studios and Disney are attempting to move things back to “normal” as some of their upcoming high-profile releases will be exclusive to movie theaters and won’t have a hybrid streaming release on the same date. The first episode of WWE’s rebooted version of NXT, now dubbed NXT 2.0, drew in an average viewership of 717,000 back on Sept. 14. Unfortunately, the show drew in just 632,000 fans this week, the second-smallest audience the show has seen on USA since moving to Tuesdays back in April. Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics then pointed out that the median age of viewers watching the show was 62, the oldest for any WWE program in quite a while....

Shaman King has revealed a new poster and cast additions for the next big phase of the reboot anime series! Shaman King’s new anime take on Hiroyuki Takei’s original manga series is now getting ready for its second cour of episodes, but is also currently in the midst of a short hiatus due to the broadcast of the Tokyo Olympics.
