When the Halo TV series premieres next year on Paramount+, viewers probably won’t have to know a lot of the intricacies of the canon to enjoy the show. Developer 343 Industries has confirmed that the series will take place in its own separate continuity, despite earlier rumors suggesting it might be set in the same world as the Xbox games. In a video shared by the Halopedia Twitter account, that news was confirmed by Kiki Wolfkill of 343 Industries, who is also one of the show’s executive producers....

Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon has shared a new trailer and poster for Season 4! Orient, the newest anime based on Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic creator Shinobu Ohtaka’s original manga series, has confirmed its release window with a new teaser trailer! First announced to be in the works earlier this year (which was great news for fans hoping to see more anime from the Magi creator), Orient was initially confirmed to have a vague 2022 release window. But with the newest update for the series giving us our first look at this new anime in motion, the series has now tightened its release window to January 2022....

Pokemon Unite is acknowledging a gamebreaking bug and is asking players not to take advantage of it while they’re working on a solution. Pokemon Unite players have discovered an exploit involving Cramorant that makes the Pokemon invincible. Without going into too much detail, the glitch involves interrupting Cramorant’s scoring animation with a move, which keeps the Pokemon’s momentary invincibility intact even after the scoring is complete. The glitch is quite easy to do, which means that a lot of less than scrupulous players are taking advantage of the bug to raise their rank....

Pokemon Unite is adding its first new Pokemon to its roster. Tencent just announced that Gardevoir would be added to the game on Wednesday, July 28th. Gardevoir is classified as a Ranged Attacker and has ranged several AOE attacks that can hit multiple Pokemon at once. Gardevoir’s moveset (which were previously datamined from the game’s files) includes a passive ability that triggers whenever Gardevoir is hit with a movement speed decrease or damage-over-time condition by an opponent....

Just like in 2021, Rockstar Games continues to anger Red Dead Redemption 2 and Red Dead Online fans. While GTA 5 has been remastered for a second time (and while it’s now available on its third generation of consoles), and while GTA Online continues to be heavily supported with several big updates a year, Red Dead Redemption fans have had nothing to celebrate. Red Dead Online is seemingly dead in the water and Red Dead Redemption 2 has yet to be brought forward to the new consoles, which wouldn’t be so perplexing if GTA 5, an eight-year-old-game, hadn’t just been released on PS5, Xbox Series S, and Xbox Series X....

Scientists are inching closer to Jurassic Park as they try to de-extinct the Woolly Mammoth. This whole project has been undertaken by a company called Colossal and their task is simple. Use CRISPR gene sequencing technology to reconstruct the majestic beasts. They also make some claims about doing this to “combat climate change,” but the evidence for this fact is specious at best. Despite all that, they have raised $15 million of funding to try and make the Woolly Mammoth walk amongst us again....

Peter Capaldi’s role as The Thinker was one of the more surprising elements of The Suicide Squad. The Doctor Who star looked like he spent more time in hair and makeup than he did in the movie, with only a few scenes but one of the most bizarre and distinctive looks in the whole movie. That look apparently evolved over time somewhat, and yesterday, filmmaker James Gunn shared a photo from production that shows a slightly different take on The Thinker’s “upgrades” – the circuits, tubes, and knobs that protrude from his head in the film, in spired by his look from the comics....

WWE has reportedly cut ties with NXT referee Drake Wuertz, according to a new report from Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp. Sapp tweeted on Wednesday afternoon, “Word among talent and staff at the WWE Performance Center is that referee Drake Wuertz has been let go. I’ve reached out to WWE for a confirmation on this, and clarity on the situation.” Fellow referee Jake Clemons was reportedly let go as well....

Apple TV is ending one of their fan-favorite series with Season 3. Dickinson will call it quits after this latest round of episodes closes the curtain. Season 3 debuts on November 5th on the streaming platform. It comes out every Friday and will run for eight weeks. Alena Smith’s work has found a big support with Apple TV+. She’s the creator, writer and executive producer of the series, and has a multiyear deal with the tech company’s streaming wing....

Disney has released the first look at President Joe Biden, the latest addition to Walt Disney World’s Hall of Presidents exhibit. Joe Biden is the 46th President of the United States, and his animatronic figure will join historical figures like George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Thomas Jefferson, and Barack Obama. The announcement from Disney that Biden is joining the Hall of Presidents also comes with an interesting footnote about Biden’s predecessor and the previous new addition to the exhibit, Donald Trump: “the Audio-Animatronics figure of former President Donald J....

[UPDATE: Fear has been found] British actress Tanya Fear, who appeared in the 2018 Doctor Who episode “Arachnids in the UK,” has been reported missing in Los Angeles. Earlier reports stated that Fear, 31, was last seen near The Hollywood Bowl on September 9th. Newer reports say she was spotted at the Trader Joe’s on Santa Monica Boulevard on September 12th. According to the BBC, the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed filing a missing person report for Fear on September 9th....

It’s Super Bowl Sunday which means there’s a lot to look forward to from the Los Angeles Rams and the Cincinnati Bengals as well as the halftime performers and all of the fun ads that come in-between. We’ve already gotten a glimpse at many star-studded Super Bowl commercials as well as some highly-anticipated movie trailers. There have also been some fun interview, including one with Jurassic World: Dominion star, Jeff Goldblum....

Tom Hiddleston and Owen Wilson decided to debate who the real star of LOKI was today during a promo for the series. Disney+ will get their first look at the trickster god on June 11th. But, fans got treated to a new poster and some fun banter between the two leads today. WandaVision is now complete, and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier gets rolling in a little while, but fans still don’t know a ton about Loki....

Marvel just unveiled Spider-Man: Beyond Amazing during Spider-Man Day. The hero’s 60th anniversary is quickly approaching and the company wanted to do it big. All next year there is going to be a focus on your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man across games, shows, comics, fashion, and collectibles. Fans are wondering what else could be coming with this announcement. But, Marvel is keeping it broad until it’s time to unveil the entire package in 2022....

DC Comics is going to have a new Shazam character and it’s going to be Mary Marvel! Billy Batson’s big sister Mary Bromfield will get the mantle of Shazam in a new miniseries that’s coming in 2022, titled The New Champion of Shazam! The four-issue miniseries will be written by Josie Campbell, alongside Shazam artist Evan Shaner. “For a long time I just didn’t have any interest in returning to anything Shazam related,” Shaner says....

While Matt Cardona has been playing a babyface in Impact Wrestling, over in Game Changer Wrestling he’s been one of the most hated characters in recent memory. Cardona’s GCW World Championship victory over Nick Gage went viral back in July when the crowd promptly battered him with garbage, but he’s continued to antagonize them ever since.
