Studios and networks are beginning to announce their plans for July’s San Diego Comic-Con, the highly-anticipated event that will be returning with great fanfare after the COVID-19 pandemic. In previous years, The CW’s roster of new and veteran shows has usually been part of those proceedings — but it looks like that might not be the case this year. On Monday, Warner Bros. Discovery unveiled their first panel details surrounding San Diego Comic-Con 2022, which included a roster of upcoming shows, games, comics, and more....

The Witcher’s first season brought several short stories from Andrzej Sapkowski’s The Last Wish to life, but there was one particular story that didn’t end up making it in before season 1 came to a close. That would be the third story of The Last Wish A Grain of Truth, which is a fan favorite for several reasons, and the good news is that the story will be in the mix for The Witcher season 2....

The next Assassin’s Creed game will reportedly be bigger than Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, and perhaps the biggest entry in the series yet. It seems that Activision and TiMi Studios might be considering new battle royale maps for Call of Duty: Mobile. A new survey has given players the ability to share their thoughts on the mobile game. Towards the end of the survey, one question specifically asks players about elements they would like to see incorporated in the shooter. One of the options available lists “New battle royale maps,” while also giving Call of Duty: Warzone’s Verdansk and Call of Duty: Black Ops 4’s Eclipse as previous examples....

The ratings are in for this past week’s AEW Rampage, and it looks like CM Punk’s arrival in All Elite Wrestling was a massive draw for the young promotion. According to Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics, the one-hour episode brought in a viewership of 1.129 million and a 0.53 rating. That’s the highest rating in the target demographic for any AEW show aside from AEW Dynamite’s premiere back in October 2019. It also puts AEW’s second show in the same league as last week’s Monday Night Raw (0....

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson was unveiled for the latest cover of PEOPLE Magazine on Wednesday as the No. 1 Reason to Love America. The former WWE Champion took to Twitter to thank the outlet for the piece, writing, “Thank you, Very humbling to grace the cover of @PEOPLE as the #1 reason ‘To Love America’ I realize the things that matter most in life are the things that are right in front of us....

Eternals finally hits theaters this week and while the film currently has the lowest Rotten Tomatoes score in the MCU, the film has always been set to be unlike anything else in the franchise to date. The film will follow a race of immortal beings with superhuman powers that have secretly lived on Earth for millennia, yet have been instructed only to interfere in very specific circumstances but in addition to that massive history, the film will also bring something else into the MCU: its first sex scene....

Kirby and the Forgotten Land launched last Friday, and it seems the Nintendo Switch game is already off to a very strong start. According to GamesIndustry.biz head Christopher Dring, the game had the biggest retail debut the series has ever seen in the UK. Despite releasing at the end of the week, Forgotten Land was the top-selling physical game in the region, beating Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands. Early sales have also made it the fifth best-selling game in the Kirby series so far....

It looks like Lollipop Chainsaw is coming back in some capacity according to a tease from one of the creators of the 2012 game. Yoshimi Yasuda, the previous CEO of Kadokawa Games and executive producer on Lollipop Chainsaw, tweeted that the game – or perhaps just the franchise? – “is back by Dragami Games.” No other details were given at this time, but Yasuda encouraged fans to stay tuned and to “look forward to it,” though it’s still a bit unclear what “it” is....

Marvel has announced that “World War She-Hulk” is coming to Marvel Comics! The name obviously invokes the now-classic “World War Hulk” storyline of the late 2000s; that story saw Bruce Banner/Hulk invade Earth as a galactic conqueror, after the other heroes of the Marvel Universe betrayed, banished, and tried to assassinate Hulk. Well, that core concept will be at work in “World War She-Hulk,” which will see Jennifer Walters/She-Hulk deemed to be a global threat, which leads by Russia and its infamous Winter Guard to pursue and capture her, in order to face “a fate no Hulk could hope to endure....

Later this week, Limited Run Games will open up pre-orders for Shantae: Risky’s Revenge on PlayStation 5, and when the game goes live, fans of the character will have the opportunity to purchase a number of additional products. The publisher has revealed a new line of merchandise, which includes a t-shirt, hoodie, skate decks, a hat, trading cards, and stickers. Most of these items will be available during a set pre-order window, but the skate decks will be limited to just 300 pieces produced....

There’s a lot to be excited about when it comes to Spider-Man: No Way Home. The highly-anticipated third MCU Spider-Man film is set to see villains from previous Spider-Man film franchises make their debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and, based on trailers for the film, Doctor Strange is a big part of that. After all, it’s Doctor Strange that Peter seeks out to help him put the cat back in the bag, as it were when it comes to his secret identity, a process that seems to go a bit awry....

Pokemon Go plans to shake up its raid system with a new set of achievements as well as a visual overhaul and other quality of life improvements. Pokemon Go announced that it would be launching a number of updates to its Raid system this summer to celebrate the game’s fifth anniversary. The most notable change is the addition of Trainer Achievements, which will showcase key participants in a raid. Players will earn Trainer Achievements by completing certain milestones during the fight, such as delivering the final attack in a raid, dealing the most damage overall, keeping a Pokemon in battle for the longest time during the raid, using a Mega-Evolved Pokemon during the battle, or using the most Charged Attacks....

WandaVision is dropping all the teasers this week and now the show is messing with reality on Instagram. New images show the shifts in time over the course of the series. As the previous trailers have illustrated, WandaVision spans multiple eras of television history. From the 1950s to right now sitcoms have undergone quite a transformation. Back at last year’s Super Bowl, fans got a taste of that timeline for themselves....

All Elite Wrestlng’s latest pay-per-view, Revolution, culminated in the wildly violent exploding Barbed Wire Deathmatch between Kenny Omega and Jon Moxley. Unfortunately, for as many highlights as the show had, the biggest takeaway from fans online was the lackluster final explosion that was meant to “blow up” the ring with Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston still inside. The show went off the air with Moxley and Kingston selling the explosion as if it was much worse, but then Mox got on the microphone and poked fun at the weak blast with the fans in attendance....

The Young Bucks retained the AEW World Tag Team Championships against SCU on this week’s Dynamite and, per their self-imposed stipulation, Christopher Daniels and Frankie Kazarian will no longer be a tag team. But Daniels lost much more than just the match, as “The Ring General” was busted open halfway through the bout and wound up bleeding all over both the ring canvas and his opponents. The spot that busted him open took place outside the ring when Nick Jackson hit him with a Superkick into the steel post....

William Shatner is officially space-bound. Shatner, the 90-year-old actor who plate Captain James T. Kirk of the starship Enterprise in the Star Trek: The Original Series and seven subsequent films, will board the New Shepard NS-18’s crew for its October 12th launch. Blue Origin confirmed Shatner’s involvement today after rumors began circulating last week, as well as that of Audrey Powers, Blue Origin’s Vice President of Mission & Flight Operations. They join Chris Boshuizen and Glen de Vries as the ship’s crew....

Deadpool’s manga is out maneuvering Marvel’s highest selling comics right now! Last year saw Marvel and Shueisha expand on one of the projects that came out during their special collaboration back in 2019, known as the “Marvel x Shonen Jump+ Super Collaboration,” with the release of a full series for a Deadpool starring manga titled Deadpool: Samurai. Releasing through the digital Shonen Jump+ app in Japan, the series has been highly successful as it’s been racking up some of the highest views not only on the app itself but even more so when compared to other Marvel Comics releases....

The latest Walt Disney Animation Studios blockbuster is just a few months away, with Strange World poised to debut in theaters later this fall. The film’s first trailer has already dazzled audiences with its action-adventure plot and its homages to the realm of classic pulpy sci-fi — and it sounds like the film itself might also become noteworthy for another reason. Sequences from Strange World were recently screened at France’s Annecy Animation Festival, and (according to a report from Variety) one of the scenes showcased sets up an LGBTQ+ teen romance in the film....
