Over the last few years, ratings for The Game Awards have been steadily increasing, while viewers have been tuning out the Academy Awards. In a startling comparison, video game industry analyst @BenjiSales stacked the two award shows against one another to compare the number of viewers. The Academy Awards this year saw a steep decline over last year’s show, with 9.8 million viewers tuning in compared to 2020’s 23.6 million. Comparatively, The Game Awards brought in 80 million viewers in 2020, up from 45....

Tickets to the latest DC Comics blockbuster have officially arrived. On Wednesday morning, advanced tickets for The Suicide Squad officially went on sale, with fans being able to purchase them through Fandango and other digital platforms. John Cena’s 20th Anniversary of his WWE debut took place on tonight’s Monday Night Raw and the episode featured video messages from wrestling legends from throughout Cena’s career. Surprisingly, that included two members of the AEW roster as both Bryan Danielson (Daniel Bryan) and Paul Wight (The Big Show) both appeared to offer congratulatory messages to the 16-time world champion. Danielson won his first WWE Championship by beating John Cena at SummerSlam 2013, while Cena beat The Big Show to win his first championship (the United States Championship) at WrestleMania XX....

Call of Duty: Warzone’s infamous Stim exploit returned not long ago with Raven Software promising a fix was on the way, and thankfully for players who’ve had it used against them, the exploit didn’t stick around for long this time. The Warzone developers announced the release of an update on Thursday that resolved the exploit among other changes. Warzone’s Stim glitch has been particularly troublesome and resilient in the past, however, so we’ll have to see how long it actually stays fixed....

James Bond actor Daniel Craig doesn’t think the character should be played by a woman, but for a specific reason. The star sat down with Radio Times to speak about No Time To Die and what the future holds for his career. When the topic of a female Bond popped up, Craig argued that entertainment should be making some better parts for women and actors of color. His argument was basically asking why there aren’t “lofty roles” like 007 for women already....

After many delays, Top Gun: Maverick is finally hitting theatres next week and the early reviews say it was worth the wait. ComicBook.com’s Spencer Perry gave the movie a 4.5 out of 5 and called it a “rare sequel that outdoes the original in every way.” Before the movie hits theatres everywhere, it’s having some special screenings around the world. Today is the film’s Royan Premiere, which will have members of the British Royal Family in attendance....

Version 2.0.0 of the game is a fairly significant one, with the biggest addition being a pair of new modes: Rookie Mode, and Dread Mode. Rookie Mode offers an easier experience for Metroid newcomers, while Dread Mode amps up the difficulty in a big way! A new era of Buffy the Vampire Slayer is about to dawn, though it will come without “Buffy” in the name. Boom Studios has announced The Vampire Slayer, a new series set in the Buffyverse. The series will launch following the upcoming Buffy the Vampire Slayer 25th Anniversary Special. Sarah Gailey (Eat The Rich, Magic for Liars) writes the series, and Irene Flores (Just Beyond) provides the artwork. According to Boom’s press release, The Vampire Slayer begins “a new era for the Chosen One launches as she faces an impossible choice and a danger so powerful it threatens the lives of everyone and everything she holds dear....

Jon Moxley’s record-breaking reign as IWGP United States Champion came to a shocking end on Wednesday night, as Mox dropped the title to “The Murderhawk Monster” in the main event of AEW Dynamite: Fyter Fest Night Two. The bout was a rematch from Wrestle Kingdom 14, where Moxley regained the title from Archer after having it stripped from him due to travel issues. His reign went on to last a record 565 days as he successfully defended it against Juice Robinson, Minoru Suzuki, Kenta, Yuji Nagata and Karl Anderson prior to a Texas Death Match rematch with Archer....
