Superman actor Henry Cavill has debuted his strange new haircut as part of a first look at Argylle, which is the upcoming spy-thriller from Matthew Vaughn (Kingsman, Layer Cake, X-Men: First Class) that will stream on AppleTV+. In the first look image from the film, we see Henry Cavill sporting a box-style hairdo while seemingly having an intimate dance with a character played by pop-star Dua Lipa. Fans tend to be hyper-serious when it comes to Henry Cavill’s hair and overall look (see: Justice League, The Witcher, Mission: Impossible – Fallout) so not surprisingly this Argylle photo has quickly gone viral: A post shared by Henry Cavill (@henrycavill)...

Jake Paul’s feud with Conor McGregor has ratcheted up a few notches this weekend thanks to some social media sniping. The viral celebrity took aim at The Notorious’ hunger and desire to compete against the best. In a Twitter message, Paul claimed that the former UFC champion is not “authentic” and that he easily offended. Such claims are pretty wild to toss at another competitor, but this is combat sports we’re talking about....

Ray Fisher is calling out WarnerMedia’s accountability following the Justice League Investigation. This is just the latest moment of the Cyborg actor asking for an apology from the company’s management as it pertains to Joss Whedon’s treatment of the cast and crew of the film. Fisher believes that he is owed an apology from the company’s executives after the events of the past few months. The star especially singles out Walter Hamada as a figure that should be announcing these measures....

Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige says that it’s a bit “surreal” to be working with Alfred Molina and Sam Raimi in the MCU. Empire Magazine has a big interview about Spider-Man: No Way Home this week, and of course, Doctor Octopus’ return has to be acknowledged. But, Marvel fans also have reason to be excited about what’s coming after Spidey’s “version of Endgame” with Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness....

The sixth season of Lucifer debuted on Netflix last week giving the fan-favorite series a proper finale - for real this time. After having had a “series finale” at the end of Season 3 when Fox canceled Lucifer, Netflix picked the show up, giving fans three more seasons of Lucifer Morningstar (Tom Ellis) and his friendships and relationships on Earth. This time, however, the story really is over, but that doesn’t mean series stars Ellis and Lauren German, who plays Chloe Decker, are opposed to revisiting their characters in the future....

Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story has announced a third and final season is now in the works for a release this year! Puella Magi Madoka Magica is currently in the midst of celebrating its monumental tenth anniversary, and not only are Aniplex and Studio SHAFT celebrating with a brand new feature film for the original franchise but more of its spin-off anime, Magia Record. The first season of this new series originally ended its run last Spring, and now a second is on the way with a scheduled release this July as part of the Summer 2021 slate....

It seems Kohei Horikoshi’s original manga series is now hotter than ever as not only is the anime’s fifth season preparing to hit its final string of episodes, and the original manga in the midst of its most intense arc to date, but the franchise has branched out with its third feature film....

The GameStop stock situation has had a lot of winners and losers over the last few weeks, with Robinhood clearly falling in the latter category. The app earned the scorn of many users when it restricted them from purchasing GameStop stock, causing the price to plunge. In an effort to repair the company’s image, Robinhood released a new ad during the Super Bowl this Sunday, which it had previously shared on Twitter earlier in the previous week....

Shaman King has returned more returns and new additions for the cast of the new anime! One of the most anticipated premieres of the year overall is the surprise return of Hiroyuki Takei’s Shaman King. While the series did have an adaptation produced back in 2001, the anime did end up needing to have its own original ending. That’s going to change with the newest release for the franchise which is aiming to fully adapt Takei’s now complete series (which finally got an official English language release last year)....

Shin Ultraman will be debuting its new take on Ultraman in theaters across Japan later this Spring, and has shared some cool new posters to celebrate! Much like Godzilla did several years ago, another Tokusatsu icon will be returning for a whole new generation with a new kind of take. Handled by the creative duo behind Shin Godzilla (and the upcoming Shin Kamen Rider project as well), Tsuburaya Production’s biggest hero will be getting a brand new reboot that will usher in the classic hero for a new generation when it starts its run through theaters in just a couple of months....

LeVar Burton will be doing the coin toss at The Rose Bowl this year. The big game takes place later today as The Ohio State Buckeyes face off against the Utah Utes. The Star Trek actor showed off what the commemorative coin looked like on Twitter and people are excited to see him pop up during a sports event. It’s been a busy year for Burton as he auditioned for the host of Jeopardy!...

The BAFTA Television Awards are taking place in July and many major shows are nominated from The Crown to Small Axe. In the CBS All Access adaptation of The Stand, there are quite a few changes from the pages of the beloved Stephen King novel. In addition to shifting the setting of the story into present-day – the book was originally set in 1980 then updated to 1985 and then again to the 1990s in subsequent printings – and making a few edits in order to fit the story into nine episodes, some of the story’s characters have gotten a bit of a tweak as well....

Venom: Let There Be Carnage has become the second-biggest movie of 2021. A new report from Exhibitor Relations lays out how the Marvel sequel continues to climb this weekend. Buy earning another $5 million, that was enough to leapfrog Black Widow and F9, which sit at $183 million and $173 million respectively. This shouldn’t come as a complete shock. Venom’s first outing raked in a billion dollars at the box office....

Both Bettany and Elizabeth Olsen sat down with EW to talk about their show. WandaVision presents a clear and dramatic new chapter for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This series wears its love of old television sitcoms on its sleeves. Every episode seems to be reference another era’s offerings in that genre....

Legendary creator Larry Hama is returning to Marvel Comics for Wolverine: Patch, a new limited series that is set during Hama’s fan-favorite Wolverine run from the ’90s. Collaborating with Hama on Wolverine: Patch is artist Andrea Di Vito, with covers by Geoff Shaw. The limited series debuts in March and follows in the tradition of books like Ben Reilly: Spider-Man, X-Men Legends, and Venom: Lethal Protector, with creators revisiting some of their classic storylines to fill in the gaps with an all-new story....

WWE and Iconic Events Releasing announced on Thursday that, for the first time ever, this year’s SummerSlam pay-per-view will be available to watch live in theaters across the country when it takes place on Aug. 21 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. The release read, “WWE and Iconic Events Releasing today announced a new partnership that brings SummerSlam, WWE’s biggest event of 2021, to movie theaters nationwide for the first time....

The franchise of Dark Souls was fit to bursting with references to the dark, epic anime franchise created by Kentaro Miura, and with the spiritual successor of the popular video game series set to tell a new story in the medium, fans of Berserk are spotting a number of Easter Eggs to Guts and the Band of the Hawk. With the passing of Berserk’s creator earlier this year, fans were left heartbroken, but Miura’s death isn’t stopping fans within the industry to pay homage to the bloody tale that has influenced so many other stories along the way....

DC fans had their socks knocked off late last week with the release of the first trailer for The Suicide Squad, the newest film within the ever-growing DC Films universe. With major roles in the Game of Thrones and Star Wars franchises, Emilia Clarke has undoubtedly become a household name. Last month, Clarke’s latest high-profile project was officially announced, with confirmation that she has been cast in Marvel’s Secret Invasion, an upcoming series set to make its debut on Disney+.
