WWE Hall of Famer Gerald Brisco went under the knife on Monday for a total knee replacement surgery on his left knee. The 74-year-old provided an update on Tuesday morning, stating that the surgery was a success and that he’ll hopefully be able to return home later in the day. As a wrestler Brisco is best known for working nearly two decades alongside his brother Jack as The Brisco Brothers. He won numerous championships in promotions like Championship Wrestling from Florida, Georgia Championship Wrestling and Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling before retiring from in-ring competition in 1985 and began working backstage for the World Wrestling Federation....

Y: The Last Man has had a unique and unprecedented journey into live-action, with the Vertigo Comics series finally getting a television adaptation earlier this year. The series, which has debuted under the FX on Hulu banner, has told the tale of the survivors of a mysterious global apocalypse, which killed every mammal with a Y chromosome outside of Yorick Brown (Ben Schnetzer) and his pet monkey, Ampersand. The fight for survival — and for figuring out what caused the pandemic — draws in a number of key characters, something that has been showcased across the series’ eight episodes thus far....

According to a new Battlefield 2042 report, the upcoming first-person shooter – set to release this October via the PC, PS4, PS5, and trio of modern Xbox consoles – is in trouble. Josh Gad is becoming a name synonymous with Disney. He played LeFou in the live-action Beauty and the Beast, voiced Olaf in Frozen and Frozen 2, and he’ll soon be starring in Disney+’s Shrunk, which will see Rick Moranis’ long-awaited return to acting. Gad is also serving as a producer for yet another live-action adaptation of a Disney classic, The Hunchback of Notre Dame. It was revealed two years ago that Disney had tapped Tony-winning playwright David Henry Hwang to write the new movie, which is based on the novel by Victor Hugo....

Next month, Mario Kart Tour players will have a chance to participate in an all-new tour featuring Bowser and Donkey Kong! Starting on May 4th, players will select from one of two teams: Team Bowser or Team Donkey Kong. All of the game’s racers have been split between the two, and players will compete to collect the highest number of their team’s respective tokens. Players will also receive a free gift in the form of their team’s captain driver as a racer in the game....

Miles Morales is about to star in another graphic novel from Marvel Comics and Scholastic. Author Justin A. Reynolds (Opposite of Always, Early Departures) and artist Pablo Leon (The Journey) are collaborating on Miles Morales: Stranger Tides, a follow-up to their 2021 hit graphic novel Miles Morales: Shock Waves. Marvel and Scholastic announced their partnership in 2020, with books centered on Miles Morales, Ms. Marvel Kamala Khan, and Shuri. Stranger Tides will feature the young Spider-Man facing attending a video game launch that goes sideways, and a character that’s a deep cut from the Marvel Universe....

Rent-A-Girlfriend is getting ready for Season 2’s release with a special new trailer and poster highlighting Mami Nanami’s role in the coming episodes! The first season taking on Reiji Miyajima’s original manga series was one of the few new anime that managed to make an impact during the tumultuous Summer 2020 schedule, and now it’s getting ready to make a comeback with its second wave of episodes. These new episodes will be bringing the four major “love interests” back for a new run, and one that many fans are curious about is Mami given her more prickly demeanor in the first season....

Today’s Nintendo Direct presentation concluded with a first look at Splatoon 3 for Nintendo Switch! Slated to release in 2022, the game’s debut trailer features a desert location, known as the Splatlands. There, the player’s Inkling can be customized before hopping on a train to a new city named Splatsville. The city looks quite a bit bigger than Inkopolis, and significantly busier. From there, Nintendo also showcased a new arena, and what appears to be some new weapons that will appear in the sequel!...

The Flash’s eighth season is just a matter of weeks away from debuting, with a new chapter that will begin with the five-episode “Armageddon” crossover event, which will feature cameo appearances from an array of established Arrowverse characters. As a new social media post from this week revealed, the surprising returns won’t stop once “Armageddon” comes to a close. TVLine recently confirmed that Rick Cosnett, who portrayed Eddie Thawne across the series’ first season, will be returning in an upcoming flashback episode of Season 8....

Earlier today came confirmation that character actor Fred Ward, best known to some for his roles in the original Tremors and playing astronaut Gus Grissom in the 1974 film The Right Stuff, among others. Following the announcement of his death, actor Kevin Bacon, who appeared alongside him in the 1990 horror-comedy, paid tribute to the actor with a touching message. “So sad to hear about Fred Ward,” Bacon tweeted. “When it came to battling underground worms I couldn’t have asked for a better partner....

Wonder Woman 1984 swung into the 2021 Kids’ Choice Awards and captured the blimp for Favorite Movie. Gal Gadot’s film appeared late in 2020 on HBO Max rather than the bombastic release most anticipated in theaters. However, due to the coronavirus pandemic, there was a change of plans. But, the distribution strategy might have actually paid off because so many families were able to watch it at home together. And the result of that film being something that most people with an HBO Max account watched can be seen with this win....

There’s a lot going on during WWE’s SummerSlam weekend, and amongst all the festivities was a chance to get one step closer to being a full-time WWE superstar. WWE held tryouts during their trip to Las Vegas, and over the course of two sessions, the group would be pushed to their limits for the chance to head to the Performance Center for the next step in their potential WWE journey. Xbox today revealed a new collaboration with Warner Bros. and Nike to bring a special Space Jam: A New Legacy bundle featuring an Xbox Wireless Controller inspired by the film and a Road Runner vs Wile E. Coyote Nike LeBron 18 Lows to the Nike SNKRS app in North America on July 15th, just in time for the movie itself, which releases July 16th in theaters and on HBO Max. Notably, the Xbox Wireless Controller is not one of the three Space Jam: A New Legacy-inspired ones that were previously revealed, but as with the shoes, is a special Road Runner vs Wile E....

All Elite Wrestling announced last week that the Aug. 20 episode of AEW Rampage (dubbed “The First Dance”) would emanate from Chicago’s largest indoor venue, the United Center. While AEW’s roots in the Windy City stretch back to the 2018 All In event, the company had yet to touch the home of the Chicago Bulls and Blackhawks. But the announcement for the show came just one week after reports of CM Punk joining the company started popping up, something AEW openly started teasing with subtle hints sprinkled throughout last week’s AEW Dynamite....

A new Back 4 Blood update is live on all platforms alongside patch notes that reveal and detail everything Turtle Rock Studios has added and tweaked with the update. And it’s a big update. The February 2022 update adds several new features and makes some notable changes to both the campaign and PvP. That said, while we know everything the update does and doesn’t do, we don’t know how big the file sizes are on any given platform...

EA Sports is showing off their latest golf game with PGA Tour: Road to the Masters and we’ve got the box art down below. Instead of the traditional route with a featured golfer on the cover, Augusta National is the star of the show. It makes sense as the revered golf club is the crown jewel of many players’ entire life playing the sport. With the Masters about to kick off shortly, it only makes sense for Electronic Arts to drop a preview of what this year’s title entails....

Eternals director Chloe Zhao explains how important deaf accessibility was for the film with open-captioned showtimes. She sat down with Comicbook.com’s Brandon Davis to speak about the fan petitions and Lauren Ridloff’s part in helping raise awareness. She plays Makkari in the MCU feature and uses ASL throughout the film. Fans who are deaf and those hard of hearing wanted this inclusion and Marvel helped make this happen.
