Halloween Kills has officially been released, and it’s currently up on Rotten Tomatoes with a 44% critics score after 98 reviews and a 76% audience score after 500+ reviews. ComicBook.com’s own Patrick Cavanaugh gave the movie a 3 out 5 and called it “a ruthless and redundant reminder of communal chaos.” The film sees the return of Jamie Lee Curtis as Laurie Strode, but she’s not the only actor from the original Halloween (1978) to appear in the movie....

Hulk Hogan has been dealing with “some really bad health issues,” according to fellow wrestling legend Ric Flair. “The Nature Boy” discussed Hogan on a new episode of the Wooooo Nation Uncensored podcast this week, saying that the two talk every couple of weeks and that “The Hulkster” has been keeping him up to date on what’s wrong. Some t-shirts from Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness have surfaced online. The new march shows off the title character and his immediate support on this reality-bending journey. Joining Doctor Strange are Xochitl Gomez’s America Chavez, everyone’s favorite Sorcerer Supreme in Wong (played by Benedict Wong), and avid gardener Scarlet Witch (brought to life by Elizabeth Olsen). Todd McFarlane launches Spawn’s Universe this June. The issue begins the “world-building” of the creator’s new shared comic book universe. Spawn’s Universe #1 includes artwork by artist Jim Cheung and colorist FCO according to a press release. McFarlane writes the debut issue, setting the stage for a new multi-character, interconnected comic book universe based on McFarlane’s long-running Spawn series. Spawn’s Universe #1 will have several variant covers. Artists include J. Scott Campbell, creating a set of four variants, each showing one of the notable characters playing a role in Spawn’s Universe in 2021....

Ahead of this week’s new episode of The Last Drive-In with Joe Bob Briggs, a special announcement has been made about another guest appearing on the series as none other than Jeffrey Combs has been confirmed to appear. Combs took to Twitter to reveal he’ll be dropping by the show as a tie-in to one of the movies. In response, Briggs wrote: “Jeffrey, you’re scaring me. I knew you had Ozarks roots, but I didn’t realize the genes were that strong....

Ring of Honor Wrestling released a statement on Wednesday confirming that the Baltimore-based promotion will be entering a hiatus following December’s Final Battle 2021 pay-per-view. The statement read, “Throughout the pandemic, our top priority was to keep everyone healthy and safe, and despite not producing any live events over 18 months, we were able to keep everyone fully contracted. We now find ourselves at a time where we need to make changes to our business operations and are planning a pivot for Ring of Honor, with a new mission and strategy....

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier managed to sneak in a funny joke about Black Panther this week. “The Star-Spangled Man” featured Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan getting some serious buddy comedy moments. One of those was Sam Wilson teasing Bucky about his time in Wakanda. The former Winter Soldier was more than ready to throw down with the Flag Smashers and Falcon calls him “The White Panther.” After that brief beat, Bucky corrects him and says it was the “White Wolf”, which must not have gotten back to the other Avengers because Wilson looks absolutely taken off-guard by the admission....

The Tokyo Summer Olympics were forced to push back the legendary sporting event from 2020 to 2021 thanks in part to the coronavirus pandemic, but despite this, a number of anime creators have joined forces to lend their talents to this Summer’s main event, including the creators of One Piece, Sailor Moon, Attack On Titan, and more. With the Summer Olympics originally set to launch a Gundam Satellite into space, and many fans referencing the events of the legendary movie Akira, it’s clear that the location of Tokyo has given a perfect entry point for the medium of anime to enter the Olympics....

Frequent Zack Snyder collaborator and storyboard artist Jay Oliva believes Ben Affleck’s never-made Batman movie would have “made fans proud” with the actor and director’s version of the Dark Knight. Oliva, the storyboard artist behind the Snyder-directed Man of Steel and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, worked with Affleck on his planned standalone Batman movie until the Argo filmmaker exited the project — and the DC Extended Universe. When Affleck confirmed his retirement from the cape and cowl in 2019, he said he “couldn’t crack” his version of The Batman scripted with co-writer Geoff Johns....

Alamo Drafthouse Cinema has announced a seven-theater expansion is coming to the fan-favorite independent exhibitor including three brand new cities getting their own Alamo location including Chicago, Illinois, St. Louis, Missouri, and Birmingham, Alabama. The four other locations that are being added include new Drafthouse theaters in Staten Island, New York; Arlington, Virginia; Glendale, Colorado; and Grand Prairie, Texas. These theaters join the other 40 Alamo Alamo Drafthouse locations around the country....

Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? is coming back for a fourth season! The third season of the anime series managed to make its release last year despite challenges of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, and while it wasn’t the overall best received season in the series, it seems that it has done well enough to continue with a new slate of episodes. This is especially great considering how the end of the third season teases some major shake ups for Bell and the rest of the Hestia Familia going forward....

Mark Henry was the latest WWE legend to make the jump to All Elite Wrestling this weekend as the “World’s Strongest Man” arrived during Sunday’s Double or Nothing pay-per-view. Henry was last seen on WWE television during the Legend’s Night episode of Raw back in January and, while he hasn’t wrestled a match since the Greatest Royal Rumble back in 2018, had been talking about competing in one final match before retiring for good....

Yesterday’s Pokemon Legends: Arceus trailer revealed that the game will feature a significant change to at least one classic Pokemon move. Earlier this week, The Pokemon Company dropped a 13-minute overview of Pokemon Legends: Arceus, its upcoming Pokemon game that makes major changes to the familiar Pokemon game formula.
