WWE officially confirmed this week that the 2021 Survivor Series pay-per-view will see the top champions from Raw and SmackDown collide once again. This week’s Monday Night Raw saw The Usos interrupt a promo between Drew McIntyre and Big E, reminding the latter that if he retained his title against McIntyre at Crown Jewel that means he’d get a match with Roman Reigns at Survivor Series. WWE has kept the “battle for brand supremacy” as the main theme for Survivor Series since 2017, and that has (mostly) led to the two world champions clashing in a non-title bout as one of the headlining matches....

WWE NXT WarGames is finally here, and that means fans are getting two massive WarGames cage matches for the Men’s Division and the Women’s Division. For the Women’s WarGames match, each team featured a mix of the black and gold and 2.0 eras, as the team of Raquel Gonzalez, Io Shirai, Kay Lee Ray, and Cora Jade faced off against Toxic Attraction’s Mandy Rose, Jacy Jayne, and Gigi Dollin alongside Dakota Kai....

Among Us got a new update this week that finally added a social feature players have been waiting on for some time: A Friends List. As the name suggests, this new tool will allow players to see all their friends quickly and in one place by sending out and receiving unique friend codes tied to individual players. While that’s the core use of the feature, the same update also came with other functions like the ability to block players, check a list of people you’ve recently played with, and features unrelated to the friends list like the ability to turn off and on the “Screen Shake” option....

With James Tynion IV’s run on Batman at an end and the “Fear State” event ostensibly over, there are some loose ends to tie up. That’s what Batman: Fear State Omega #1 is for with the comic seeing Batman bring Scarecrow to justice while also offering up a montage of sorts to conclude the stories of other major players in the “Fear State” arc. It’s a convenient and rather tidy way to close off Tynion’s run, but while it will satisfy some Batman readers in that it gives a distinct sense of closure, one can’t help but walk away from the issue feeling as though it was all very superficial – a very slick way to shuffle characters around, clearing the board for the next creative team while also never really dealing with any of the issues presented over the course of the run....

Ryan Coogler took a second to talk about the biggest lesson that Black Panther star Chadwick Boseman left him with. The Hollywood Reporter caught up with the filmmaker to discuss his role as a producer on Judas and the Black Messiah. But, the conversation also gestured towards Boseman’s looming absence in Coogler’s next project. The director talked about how the Marvel legend would always press him to move forward. He also noted that the Black Panther star was the first one attached to the project at all....

One detail from the Doctor Strange In The Multiverse of Madness trailer could connect to WandaVision’s Agatha. Fans all over the world loved Kathryn Hahn’s delightful villain in that Disney+ series, and it looks like her lessons are going to come into play during the next massive MCU blockbuster. During the clip, Wanda’s hands look to be turning black like Agatha’s did when she used dark magic. It will be interesting to see what the Darkhold’s secrets did to the Scarlett Witch after the events in Westview....

In the days of the Nintendo Entertainment System, the console’s 8-bit graphics left a lot of room for interpretation from artists. Throughout the ’80s, many artists came up with unique takes on Nintendo’s characters, before the company had established standard designs. Japanese artist Gaku Miyao has revealed a design he created back in the day that appeared on a pair of officially-licensed slippers aimed at girls. The slippers feature Mario, Peach, Bowser, and a pair of Toads....

Filmmaker Fede Álvarez continues his tradition of celebrating the anniversary of the theatrical release of his Evil Dead reboot, this time by revealing an ending that replicates the fate of Bruce Campbell’s Ash Williams from the first film. While he initially just revealed that he had developed such an ending, he then went on to share the footage of the possible ending, which only lasted for a few seconds. He also showed off a collection of Polaroids he took from the film’s production that had previously never been seen....

Marvel Studios has already introduced us to a version of Mr. Fantastic during the events of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, so we can probably expect to see the rest of Marvel’s first family in an upcoming film. The studio already has a Fantastic Four film in development, but it recently lost director Jon Watts, and not much is known about how far along it was. During a recent press event for Jurassic World Dominion in Mexico City, a fan gave Bryce Dallas Howard a Susan Storm/Invisible Woman Funko Pop due to the actress being rumored for the role and the actress profusely denied it....

Kenny Omega, The Young Bucks and The Good Brothers took a victory lap on this week’s AEW Dynamite after beating Hangman Page and The Dark Order in a 10-man tag team match last week. The group started off by cutting a backstage promo, saying they’d all retire with their current championships and that their numbers would have to be hung from the rafters of Daily’s Place. They then interrupted Page’s promo midway through the show and attacked him, culminating in Omega bashing the AEW World Championship across a helpless Page’s face....

If you were worried about what could happen to the Marvel Netflix shows when they got brought over to Disney+, you don’t have to worry anymore. Now that fans have taken a look at Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and The Defenders on Disney+ they have collectively confirmed that all of the sex, violence, and gore in those series has been left very much intact. Disney had previously stated that a new mature content rating would ensure that the Marvel Netflix content could be kept intact – but fans remained skeptical until they saw it with their own eyes....

During the latest Jump Festa, perhaps no Shonen series received more news than Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, as the anime series for the popular ninja franchise revealed that the “Vessel Arc” was about to begin, and with it, the arrival of the long-awaited character of Kawaki. With episode previews hinting that the young product of the Kara Organization set to battle against the members of Team 7 as the villainous collective sets their sights on Konoha, the series has released two new key visuals that show off both Boruto and the new character of Kawaki in preparation of their confrontation!...

Those who tuned into Xbox’s Twitch Gaming showcase earlier in the year probably caught a glimpse of Song of Iron, the new game from Joe Winter of Resting Relic Studio. The Nordic-inspired game impressed during the event with its moody settings and its combat mechanics with players able to go hands-on with it recently during a beta event. As of Friday, that game now has a release date as well with Winter announcing that it’ll be available on the Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC platforms on August 31st....

While posting a tweet for the annual Bell Let’s Talk, a Canadian awareness campaign to combat stigmas related to mental health, Ryan Reynolds got very honest online about something that was previously in the works with Deadpool and now we’ll likely never get to see. We know that Deadpool 3 is officially in the works at Marvel Studios and that Reynolds will reprise his role, but in his tweet the actor revealed the original plan for the film when it was still in development at 20th Century Fox pre-Disney acquisition....

Studio Ghibli may be making a move into the modern era, but directors like Hayao Miyazaki will never let the brand forget its roots. The legendary artist brought some of animation’s greatest films to life with hand-drawn work, and he intends to do so for as long as he lives. Of course, that means Miyazaki needs the materials to keep sketching, and Studio Ghibli is asking for help to track down one of the director’s favorite (and extinct) tools....

The Fairly OddParents is getting a live-action series on Paramount+. The news was announced as a part of the streaming service’s huge rollout today. Kids’ programming was a focus for a large section of the presentation. Brian Robbins, president of ViacomCBS Kids & Family announced the Fairly OddParents series alongside a live-action Dora the Explorer show as well. During the rise of streaming services, we’ve learned that original content is crucial in the drive to keep fans happy on the platform....

Emergency star Tim Donnelly had died at the age of 77. The NBC series actor was beloved as Chet Kelly on the program. The Los Angles County Fire Museum confirmed the news in a Facebook post paying tribute to Donnelly. He was born in 1944 and got a big break in Baby Face Nelson thirteen years later. From there he would enjoy 27 years of working in both TV and film....

Several weeks after production on NBC’s Ultimate Slip ‘N Slide was put on hold after a number of crew members came down with what insiders have described as “explosive diarrhea”, the network officially canceled the gameshow on Friday. The show — hosted by comedians Ron Funches and Bobby Moynihan — was supposed to debut on August 8th after the Tokyo Olympics send-off. Now, with the series no longer going forward, Funches has taken to social media to open up about the situation calling the gameshow “still the best summer job I ever had” despite the rather poopy situation....
