Activision Blizzard today announced that Blizzard Entertainment president J. Allen Brack is leaving the company and that Jen Oneal and Mike Ybarra will be stepping up to co-lead Blizzard Entertainment, effectively immediately. The announcement comes in the wake of California’s lawsuit against Activision Blizzard regarding the company’s treatment of women over allegations of unequal pay, sexual harassment, and retaliation against employees. Activision Blizzard initially described the claims as “distorted, and in many cases false,” which inspired a walkout by employees over the company’s actions....

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War got a weekend patch on Saturday to add yet another League Play restriction to the list of rules along with some fixes for the Multiplayer and Zombies modes. The RC-XD Scorestreak is no longer allowed in League Play, and the friendly fire mechanism has been adjusted to prevent players from griefing their teammates too often. Treyarch Studios’ update also reminded players of the Double Weapon XP bonus that’s going on now for a bit longer than the weekend events typically last....

Later this month, Star Wars: Republic Commando will receive a physical release on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 thanks to Limited Run Games! Originally released on Xbox back in 2005, the title is a first-person shooter set during the Clone Wars. Developer Aspyr is porting the game to current-gen consoles digitally this month, but Star Wars fans will now have the chance to add it to their physical collections, as well!...

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba teased that new info on the anime will be coming our way soon! The adaptation of Koyoharu Gotouge’s original Shonen Jump series will soon be celebrating its second anniversary, and in Japan it will be celebrating in a big way with a special event. Following the recent extension of the COVID-19 state of emergency in Japan, Abema TV’s special “Demon Slayer Festival -Anime 2nd Anniversary Festival-” will be taking place on February 14 after previously planning to run across two different days....

Digimon Ghost Game has confirmed the first additions to its staff and voice cast ahead of the anime’s premiere this Fall! Toei Animation is currently rounding out the final episodes of the special Digimon Adventure reboot series celebrating the Digimon franchise’s 20th Anniversary, and with this series coming to an end it’s time to look ahead to what’s next. A new Pokemon-themed version of a popular tabletop card game is coming soon, but only in South Korea. The Korean tabletop publisher Mandoo Games announced Point Salad: Eevee Edition, a new version of the popular card game published by AEG in the United States. Rules for the Eevee-themed version of Point Salad weren’t immediately available, but the base card game involves collecting sets of different cards, so it’ll likely be a straightforward adaptation with Eevee and its assorted evolutions replacing the onions, carrots, and other salad ingredients in the core game....
