Well, Garfield doesn’t hate it and said as much to Andy Cohen on Sirius XM. The actor likened the roles to see Shakespearan stories when the radio host said that he was exasperated by the reboots....

Following Jon Moxley’s decision to enter an inpatient alcohol treatment program this week, AEW was forced to change plans regarding tonight’s AEW Dynamite in Kansas City. The show was supposed to feature the semifinals of the AEW World Championship Eliminator Tournament where Moxley would take on Orange Cassidy (and win, if those leaked Full Gear plans were accurate) and advance to the finals to face Bryan Danielson at Full Gear. With Moxley out, an immediate replacement has yet to be announced....

On Monday, Netflix broke the hearts of fans with the announcement that Another Life, the sci-fi series that debuted its sophomore season late last year, has been cancelled after two seasons. The series, which centers on a family split apart after an unidentified flying object lands on Earth, was led by Battlestar Galactica and The Flash alum Katee Sackhoff, and genre fans definitely enjoyed seeing her in the role. Sackhoff broke her silence about the cancellation in a tweet that you can find below, not only thanking “everyone” who checked out the series, but the cast and crew “for always working so hard and being prepared....

The beloved Alice in Wonderland story is getting a fresh new twist in an upcoming children’s animated series. Alice’s Wonderland Bakery, which is expected to debut on Disney Junior in 2022 will feature Alice in Wonderland’s great-granddaughter, also named Alice. The young Alice is a baker at the titular Wonderland Bakery and will have various adventures with her friends, including Fergie who is a white rabbit, her madcap friend Hattie, and Rosa, the Princess of Hearts....

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is finally playing in theatres, and the movie is already thriving at the box office. Tonight’s epic all-women’s event NWA Empowerrr featured a loaded card, but it also featured a surprising return, a heartfelt promo, and a retirement announcement from former WWE and AEW star Awesome Kong. During the event, Gail Kim made a surprise appearance, but she was approached by Taryn Terrell, Paola Blaze, and Jennacide. Awesome Kong made the save and dispatched of Kim’s attackers, but before Kim left she called her back and picked up the microphone to reveal that she was retiring from wrestling and wanted her last time in the ring to be with Kim....

The global covid-19 pandemic has only deepened the divide between many feature film directors and their audience, with filmmakers centering “the theatrical experience” as the end-all, be-all of cinema, while audiences just want to be able to see a movie without traveling 40 miles to the only open cinema, or risking their health in a crowded room during a pandemic. So it’s refreshing to see Michael Kennedy, writer of the 2020 slasher comedy Freaky, take to social media to offer a somewhat more nuanced take....

Things are not what they seem in the first teaser trailer for Netflix’s Bigbug. The eighth film from French filmmaker Jean-Pierre Jeunet (Alien: Resurrection, Amélie, A Very Long Engagement), the artificial intelligence sci-fi comedy takes place “in a closed setting, with humans, androids and mechanical robots,” Jeunet said when announcing his first feature since 2013’s The Young and Prodigious T.S.
