By now you’ve probably noticed WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair was trending on Twitter on Wednesday afternoon. The reason was because of a photo that was being spread around social media of a man with long blond hair who resembled “The Nature Boy” doing something very NSFW with a woman while riding a train. Fans immediately assumed it was Flair given his past, but the 16-time world champion took to Twitter to say that’s not him in the photo....
Like most films, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker underwent a number of changes throughout its development, which leads fans to wonder what some of the abandoned concepts for the conclusion of the Skywalker Saga might have been, but Daisy Ridley recently confirmed that there was no question about Ben Solo passing away after helping Rey confront Emperor Palpatine. The actress did admit, however, that there was a debate over whether or not Rey should kiss Ben Solo before his passing, but to the disappointment of some, there was no version of the film’s finale in which Ben survived the encounter....
WWE’s Triple H sent the NBA Champion Milwaukee Bucks some more elite hardware today. It’s become a bit of a tradition for the EVP of the promotion to throw an awesome championship belt to any sports team that brings home the ultimate prize. Finals MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo and his Bucks teammates made all of Wisconsin proud last night by clinching the city’s first professional sports title in 50 years. There have been some other moments across the NBA Playoffs that featured the WWE, but this is the final word on the matter....
Logan Paul was back on WWE programming this week when he appeared in a segment involving John Morrison and The Miz on Monday Night Raw. But just like with his appearances at WrestleMania 37 and SummerSlam, the fans in attendance weren’t too happy to see the YouTuber/boxing star. Paul was brought on as a guest for Morrison’s “Moist TV” segment where he hyped up his recent exhibition with Floyd Mayweather and Jake Paul’s upcoming bout with Tyron Woodley....
WrestleMania 38’s headlining match has Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar battling to unify the WWE and Universal Championships, the two top prizes in WWE. Reports have pointed towards WWE turning right around and introducing another world championship once the two titles are unified, and a photo from Frisco, Texas started making the rounds over the weekend showing what could potentially be a giant-sized version of the unified title. The championship looks almost identical to the other two titles, but the blue line under the WWE loge in the center plate doesn’t match either current title....
Marvel has announced the roster and creative team for Legion of X, one of the many new titles spinning out of the X-Men’s Destiny of X era. Writer Si Spurrier (X-Men Legacy, X-Force) and artist Jan Bazaldua (Winter Guard) will continue the story that Spurrier set up in Way of X as they prepare to bring peace, love, and justice to Krakoa. Described as a “precinct-style ensemble story” by Spurrier, Legion of X brings together fan-favorites like Nightcrawler, Juggernaut, Pixie, and more to handle Krakoa’s internal threats, similar to cops working to keep the peace in a town....
Shazam! star Zackary Levi wants to bring his character’s Kingdom Come story to the big screen. Levi will return in the upcoming Shazam! sequel. On Twitter, a fan asked him if he was familiar with DC Comics’ Kingdom Come, the Eisner-winning 1996 miniseries by Mark Waid and Alex Ross. It turns out Levi knows the story, is a fan and would like to see it turned into a movie, even if he isn’t involved....
Earlier this week, it was announced that Netflix’s Marvel shows as well as Agents of SHIELD would be leaving Netflix and coming to Disney+ later this month. Fans of Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, The Punisher, The Defenders, and Agents of SHIELD have all been celebrating the news this week and reminiscing about the shows. Some fans are even hoping Disney+ will bring back the characters or pick up the shows where they left off....
After much teasing, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is getting its big Season One Reloaded update this week. The update that adds the new Zombies map called Firebase Z as well as a ton of other changes is scheduled to release at 11 p.m. PT on February 3rd, but players won’t have to wait that long to see what all is happening outside of the highlights we’ve already been made privy to....
Xbox is acquiring Activision Blizzard, which means it will soon own Call of Duty and the studios that make Call of Duty games. That said, Call of Duty still, reportedly, has a future on PlayStation, but it may not be for much longer. According to a new report from Bloomberg, the next Call of Duty is a new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare from Infinity Ward releasing this fall. It will reportedly be available on PlayStation....
In a plot out of a comic book, someone managed to hack the candy corn factory ahead of Halloween. Production had to slow down a bit as a result. Crain’s Chicago Business reported that Ferrara Candy, the maker of candy corn and hosts of other Halloween staples got hacked on October 9th. Once they discovered the breach, they set about contacting the authorities and trying to survey the damage. In securing all of their systems, their attention immediately turned to getting production back on track....
Disney+ has announced that there is a new Cinematic Concert Experience from Grammy-winning and chart-topping artist Billie Eilish coming to the streaming service in September. Titled Happier than Ever: A Love Letter to Los Angeles, the global concert experience will be based on Eilish’s latest album, Happier than Ever, which is set to be released on July 30th. The Disney+ concert will also be a prelude (promotional trailer?) for Billie Eilish’s next official concert tour, the Happier Than Ever World Tour, which will kick off in 2022....
Jason Momoa has confirmed that he’s playing the villain of Fast & Furious 10. It should not come as a shock to people that the Aquaman star is stepping into the Fast Saga with the latest entry. When his casting got announced last month, it shot electricity all over social media. Not a lot is known about the big two-part finale. But, Vin Diesel and his family are up against the beloved actor in their ultimate adventure....
Rockstar Games fans have noticed that the acclaimed developer has seemingly removed transphobic content from Grand Theft Auto V with the Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 re-release. The new version of Grand Theft Auto V isn’t a giant leap from the previous version, but is probably the best way to experience Rockstar’s game. It includes a number of visual enhancements such as new effects, 4K resolution, 60FPS, and more, but it’s generally the same game as before....
Is Michael B. Jordan’s talked about Superman movie taking flight at Warner Bros.? On Friday, best-selling author and comic book writer Ta-Nehisi Coates and producer J.J. Abrams of Bad Robot confirmed a Superman reboot that Coates says will “meaningfully [add] to the legacy of America’s most iconic mythic hero.” After Abrams promised a “new, powerful and moving Superman story,” THR’s Borys Kit reported the studio would revisit its plans for the “Black Superman project” that Jordan pitched in 2019....
Harry Potter fans are desperate for more Hogwarts Legacy. WB Games revealed Hogwarts Legacy back in 2020, and originally the game was slated to release in 2021 via PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, and Xbox Series X. Within the first month of 2021, it was delayed to 2022. And a whole calendar year passed without any new information or media on the game, at least not from official sources....
Infinity Train just dropped the first big trailer for Season 4 and fans are absolutely amped up for it. This season seems primed to focus on two childhood friends who may be growing apart. Ryan and Min-Gi had the same dream to be rock stars together, but something is amiss and you can bet the titular locomotive will have something to do with them resolving their feelings. Last Book ended with the first recorded instance of a passenger not making it through the perilous journey....
Stephen Wacker is leaving Marvel after a 15-year run with the company. Wacker announced that he was leaving Marvel earlier today on Twitter for a position at an unnamed company. “Marvel is in stronger shape than ever due to stories told by the best storytellers and creators in all of recorded history (well aside from Aesop, I guess),” Wacker wrote on Twitter. “All of which were shepherded by someone smart on the inside who knew enough to recognize talent....
The upcoming PlayStation Plus lineup for March 2022 includes a free bonus game. Typically, when Sony releases the new slate of PS Plus titles for subscribers each month, three games are all that are normally included. Of these three titles, one is usually exclusive to PlayStation 5, while the other two are then compatible with PlayStation 4 (and PS5 via backward compatibility). And while there have been some exclusions to this rule in the past, Sony decided to take things one step further in March and bring a fourth game to the mix for PlayStation Plus subscribers....
Pokemon Journeys has officially given Ash’s Gengar its own Gigantamax form with the newest episode of the anime! The series has been making its way through a string of two episode arcs that have challenged Ash and his team in a number of interesting ways. This meant not only a return of Dawn, Cynthia, and the Sinnoh region to honor the recent releases of Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, but the run of episodes for the year ended in Japan with a special two episode arc that saw Ash and Goh head out in a spooky adventure to help Gengar reach Gigantamax....
