The Arrowverse has been thriving on our television screens for nearly a decade, bringing new takes on a wide array of DC Comics characters. The live-action television franchise began with The CW’s Arrow, which chronicled its own version of the complicated Green Arrow legacy. When the series wrapped in 2020, it did so with the hopes of continuing its story in the form of Green Arrow and the Canaries, a failed backdoor pilot that would have revolved around Mia Queen / Green Arrow (Katherine McNamara), Laurel Lance / Black Canary (Katie Cassidy), and Dinah Drake / Black Canary (Juliana Harkavy)....

When I was around 12 years old, I sat down with some of my family members to play Dungeons & Dragons for the first time. I expected something involving benevolent wizards, chivalrous knights, and sly thieves meeting in a tavern to go on an adventure, likely involving a dungeon and a dragon. Instead, my character and his fellow adventurers awoke as prisoners aboard an armored caravan. Those running the convoy kept us well fed, and it was about the time that it dawned on me we were being fattened up for an eventual slaughter that the caravan came under attack by a band of elves....

The first trailer for Hawkeye dropped on Monday, giving Marvel fans the best look yet at the upcoming Disney+ series and there was plenty in the just under two-minute trailer to get excited about. There’s “Rogers The Musical” that fans are wishing was a thing in real life, the Die Hard vibes the trailer is giving, Lucky’s appearance, and even the group of Eastern European gangsters - affectionately dubbed the “Tracksuit Mafia” by fans - from Matt Fraction and David Aja’s comics run....

Pro Wrestling history was made on Monday night as Kelsey Heather became the first wrestler to appear on both WWE and AEW programming on the same night. The former NFL cheerleader was featured on WWE’s Monday Night Raw as one of Bobby Lashley’s “ladies” during backstage segments and the show-closing VIP Lounge, while at the same time she was featured on AEW Dark: Elevation in a match against Leyla Hirsch. Raw was taped inside the WWE ThunderDome in Tampa last Tuesday while Elevation was taped in Miami last Wednesday, and since Heather isn’t signed to either company she was able to appear on both shows....

Like a baseball bat to the brain, Jeffrey Dean Morgan teases Isle of the Dead will “blow your f—ing minds.” The Negan actor returns alongside Lauren Cohan as Maggie Rhee in The Walking Dead spinoff set in the New York City of the walker apocalypse, sending the frenemies traveling together into a post-apocalyptic Manhattan. AMC announced Maggie and Negan’s own spinoff in March, setting TWD writer and co-executive producer Eli Jorné as showrunner of the new series from executive producers Morgan, Cohan, and Walking Dead Universe chief content officer Scott Gimple....

John Cena is getting a new Legacy WWE Championship available for pre-order on WWE Shop in late July. The first look at the championship belt as well as the merchandise that comes along with the package was first revealed on The Bump this week. The case, modeled after Cena’s Word Life Chain, contains an exclusive wristband and towel set along with the championship. Said title is a spinner belt similar to Cena’s WWE and United States Championship from his Doctor of Thuganomics days, and each detail on the title has some sort of connection to Cena’s career including 16 jewels in the center plate (one for each of Cena’s world championship reigns), four of his logos on the side plates, “Word Life” on the tips of each end of the strap and “Never Give Up” featured on the center plate....

In celebration of the game’s 10th anniversary, Squad and Private Division have announced that Kerbal Space Program Enhanced Edition will be releasing for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S later this year! The critically-acclaimed game made its way to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One back in 2016, and those that purchased the game on either platform will be happy to know the next-gen upgrade will be available as a free update....

Marvel has revealed the first official Spider-Man NFTs (Non-fungible token) which will be released this month. VeVe Digital Collectibles app is the venture that Marvel has partnered Orbis Blockchain Technologies Limited to launch, basically giving the Marvel brand a new lane in the lucrative digital and/or cryptocurrency markets. NFTs are one of the fastest-growing commodities on the digital market, giving collectors vouchers for rare digital collectible items like the original images that became famous memes, or high-value digital pieces of pop culture, music, and/or sports memorabilia....

Netflix just dropped the release date for Locke & Key Season 2. October 22 will be the big day as the streaming giant loads up for another wildly packed Fall. This show has already been renewed for Season 3 and the hype is already building. Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez’s IDW comic series has taken the platform by storm. In the trailer, there’s talk of the world having so much potential, and that’s exactly how the Internet is talking about this show....

Netflix has released a stunning new poster for the upcoming original anime series, Yasuke! Cannon Busters series creator LeSean Thomas is returning to Netflix with another potential hit, but this time he’s enlisted the help of Studio MAPPA, the production house behind series such as Jujutsu Kaisen, Attack on Titan’s final season and more. Taking on the legendary story of the first African samurai, Yasuke will soon be making its debut with Netflix around the world next month....

Netflix’s Never Have I Ever is getting a Season 4 after the renewal was announced today. However, that good news comes with an asterisk as the fourth set of episodes will be the end of the series. Mindy Kaling revealed the news herself on her social media profile. She posted a letter with Lang Fisher explaining how excited they were for Season 3. But, they had to prepare the audience for the fact that the end was coming sooner than some might have expected....

One Piece really went all out with the action scenes in Episode 1017 of the anime, so now is the time to check it out! As a whole, fans have noticed a huge shift behind the scenes when Dragon Ball Super: Broly director Tatsuya Nagamine took over as the main one steering the shift for the Wano Country arc. This has not only resulted in some of the best scenes in the series to date, but many episodes fans are now considering the best in the anime’s run overall....

Pokemon Journeys has revealed who will be providing the voices for Piers and Marnie ahead of their big debut in the anime! The newest iteration of the anime series has been re-introducing many familiar fan favorites from the past as Ash and Goh have been exploring past regions of the franchise thus far, but every now and then the anime has been sprinkling in more stories and characters from the Galar region seen in Pokemon Sword and Shield....

The Harper House just dropped a trailer for the Paramount+ cartoon. In the vein of adult animation, there have been tons of entries in the genre. (Star Trek: Lower Decks is right there on Paramount+ too.) Brad Neely is no stranger to that scene as he helped lift China, IL into the adult swim pantheon. He also brought Brad Neely’s Harg Nallin’ Sclopio Peepio to television screens. Things might not get that off-kilter on The Harpers, but there are plenty of family-based shenanigans to be had on the show....

The Matrix Resurrections trailer has dropped, giving a whole new generation of movie fans a looks at the unique sci-fi/action world created by The Wachowskis. Like with the original film, the first trailer for The Matrix Resurrections is steeped in the mystery of what kind of faux world prison Thomas Anderson (Keanu Reeves) is trapped in. Even with the knowledge of the entire Matrix Trilogy on the table, we still can’t tell exactly how director Lana Wachowski is rebooting the Matrix concept for this new age, using the same principal characters....

The Muppets are returning to Disney+ next month with their highly-anticipated, star-studded Halloween special titled Muppets Haunted Mansion. The lovable bunch is having an exciting year considering their first series, The Muppet Show, also hit Disney+ back in February. With the exception of two full episodes, all five seasons of the beloved series are available to watch on the streaming service, which has allowed a whole new generation to appreciate The Muppets’ early years....

The World Ends With You’s anime has scrapped its original opening theme following a scandal from one of its band’s members. The World Ends With You’s official anime debut was set this week as part of the Spring 2021 anime schedule, and it was revealed the day before that the anime would be changing its opening before the premiere of its first episode. Sony Music Labels reported that the drummer for ALI, the band behind the original opening theme, “TEENAGE CITY RIOT,” was arrested and while the reason was not revealed, it was confirmed this meant a change for The World Ends With You....

Tony Khan was at the center of a new Forbes article chronicling the rise of All Elite Wrestling on Tuesday. The story recapped a number of AEW’s early successes while also listing out the millions of dollars in earnings and expenses the promotion has seen so far. The feature also talked about where AEW fits in the landscape of modern pro wrestling, bringing up the comparisons to the last major promotion that tried to rival the WWE here in the United States — WCW....

WWE NXT Stand & Deliver started things off with the Ladder Match for the NXT North American Championship, and it delivered (no pun intended) a number of memorable moments. Unfortunately, one moment seems to not have gone quite as planned, and fans are jumping on social media and showing support for NXT’s Grayson Waller after a brutal-looking spot. At one point Waller jumped off a ladder and was supposed to go through another ladder before he hit the floor, but it looks as if he didn’t quite get far enough when he collided with the ladder, and he ended up slamming his arm into the side of it and then hitting the floor....

The long-awaited return of Becky Lynch finally happened at SummerSlam, and she replaced Sasha Banks in a surprising victory over Bianca Belair for the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship. One of the biggest questions in WWE revolved around Lynch’s return, more specifically when she would make her return to the ring. Lynch has had some fun trolling fans with teases of being backstage at various events, but she has yet to actually appear on television, and sometimes she wasn’t even at the event....
