Gary Oldman says that retirement is on the horizon for him. Deadline spoke to The Dark Knight star about his career. In their conversation, his work on Slow Horses came up and it seems the actor clearly loved this experience. However, Oldman did say that he knows he has more of his acting days behind him than in front of him. Specifically, the star argued, “So, if it were to go out with a bang, I mean, retirement is on the horizon....

The Lord of the Rings: Rise to War, the upcoming mobile strategy video game from NetEase and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, has officially announced that it will release for mobile devices, iOS and Android both, on September 23rd. Relatively little has been seen of the title since it was first announced last year, but it appears to largely be about building armies and fortifications for iconic Lord of the Rings factions like Gondor and Mordor to then take on other armies and fortifications....

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson officially celebrated the 25th anniversary of his WWE in-ring debut on Wednesday. The 10-time world champion first competed on Nov. 17, 1996 at that year’s Survivor Series pay-per-view, teaming up with Jake Roberts, Marc Mero and The Stalker to beat Crush, Goldust, Jerry Lawler and Hunter Hearst Helmsley (later known as Triple H, one of Rock’s greatest rivals). Johnson retweeted a photo from that event, writing, “Wow 25yrs ago I wrestled my first match in @wwe in Madison Square Garden....

We’re just a matter of days away from the release of The Suicide Squad, a film that will once again bring Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie) onto the big screen. This will mark Harley’s third appearance in live-action, following breakout roles in both Suicide Squad and Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn). Edge made the surprise announcement during this week’s Monday Night Raw that he’ll be competing in the Men’s Royal Rumble Match this Sunday. “The Rated-R-Superstar” has been out of action for seven months since tearing his tricep during a match with Randy Orton at Backlash, but he made it pretty clear during his promo that his full focus is on becoming world champion again after his last reign in 2011 ended due to his sudden retirement....

Xbox today announced a ton of new titles set to be added to the Xbox Game Pass subscription service in the coming weeks for cloud, console, and PC. The dates for the 13 newly announced Xbox Game Pass additions range from tomorrow, September 15th, all the way through October 1st. And of those, 8 of the 13 will actually appear on Xbox Game Pass on day one. While none of the lot are giant releases, there are a bunch of gems in there....

A new era for the Dark Knight is about to begin when writer Joshua Williamson and artist Jorge Molina take the creative reins on Batman. The duo will take over from writer James Tynion IV — who is leaving to focus on his creator-owned comics — and artist Jorge Jimenez, who together introduced a slew of new fan-favorite characters during their Batman run, including Punchline, Ghost-Maker and Clownhunter. Williamson and Molina will also debut a new villain called Abyss, and a preview of their first issue takes a look back at recent events in DC’s Batman titles, as well as teases a party attended by some of Batman’s greatest villains....

It looks like Dexter fans have more than just the upcoming revival, Dexter: New Blood, to look forward to. Showtime is bringing back the drama’s official companion podcast as well. Dexter: New Blood Wrap-Up With Scott Reynolds is set to launch on Friday, October 1st. The podcast’s launch coincides with the 15th anniversary of the original series which aired its first episode on October 1, 2006. According to Deadline, new episodes of Dexter: New Blood Wrap-Up With Scott Reynolds will drop weekly on Tuesdays for 16 weeks....

GTA Online’s summer update is coming soon, and Rockstar Games says new information will be revealed in the near future. As the company teased back in May, the summer update will feature the Los Santos Car Meet. Unfortunately, details on that are slim at the moment. Until then, fans can enjoy seven all-new Survival Maps, which are now live in the game. All Survivals are worth 2X GTA$ and RP this week, and players that compete in any of the new maps will get GTA$100K, which will be awarded within 72 hours of playing....

Fans just got a new update about Indiana Jones 5 as Harrison Ford has returned to filming. Mads Mikkelsen is there in some new set photos as well. This will be the legend’s last time in the fedora and a pretty big departure for the series. Steven Spielberg will not be directing for the first time, but Logan director James Mangold is stepping in to helm this project. The creative team is bringing out even more star power with Antonia Banderas, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Toby Jones, and more for this installment....

The future of Jeopardy! has been speculated about quite a lot in recent weeks, after a rotating array of guest hosts indicated possible new status quos for the series following the passing of Alex Trebek. Last week, audiences got their answer of who would permanently be taking over as Jeopardy! host, with series executive producer Mike Richards set to host the syndicated episodes of the series. That all got complicated earlier this week after offensive remarks made by Richards on a podcast resurfaced online, with some fans calling for him to be removed from the new post....

Netflix has set the release window for Season 2 of the original Ultraman anime series! Tsuburaya Productions took up the task of expanding the notably of their various works a few years ago, and this has led to a few surprising collaborations resulting in fun new projects such as the SSSS.Gridman anime universe with Studio Trigger, the Shin Ultraman movie tackled by the Shin Godzilla creative team, an upcoming original animated movie with Netflix, and this all kicked off with an official anime adapting Eiichi Shimizu and Tomohiro Shiguchi’s original Ultraman manga series....

When it comes to the “streaming wars,” there are more and more platforms where you can watch movies and shows. Of course, Netflix changed the game when it made the switch from only mailing DVDs to having an online platform, but with popular new sites like Disney+ and HBO Max, Netflix is starting to suffer. In fact, it was revealed this week that the platform lost 200,000 subscribers in the first quarter of the year, the first time it lost subscribers since 2011....

Kevin Biegel, the Cougar Town and Enlisted producer who was set to serve as showrunner on Marvel’s ill-fated New Warriors TV series, hasn’t fully let go of the characters yet. Sure, the show isn’t coming back and the actors have moved on to other things, but earlier today he shared a photo of himself in front of a mirror, wearing a New Warriors t-shirt and showing off a previously-unseen photo of the headpiece Squirrel Girl would have worn on the show....

Roman Reigns will defend his WWE Universal Championship against Goldberg at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view coming up on Feb. 19 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. “The Tribal Chief” was confronted on last week’s Friday Night SmackDown by the WWE Hall of Famer, who pointed out the match between the two was supposed to take place nearly two years ago at WrestleMania 36 only for Reigns to back out due to the COVID-19 pandemic....
