Netflix has confirmed B: The Beginning’s Season 2 release date with a premiere trailer and poster! Before Netflix began the greater spread into original anime licensing and production that fans have seen come to fruition in the last year, the streaming service released a few notable original anime productions back in 2018. One such hit was B: The Beginning, and although the series did not garner a huge amount of conversation among fans, the series’ debut was so successful that a second season was confirmed to be in the works shortly after that initial premiere....

Netflix hasn’t been shy about entering the world of anime with original series including the likes of Castlevania, Yasuke, Aggretsuko, and more helping the streaming service carve out a niche for itself, and it seems as if the platform is adding another series to their library with the upcoming adaptation of the Boom Studios’ property known as Mech Cadets. Originally debuting in 2017 as Mech Cadet Yu by comic company Boom Studios by writer Gene Pak and artist Takeshi Miyazawa, Mech Cadets is one of three new animated series announced by Netflix, alongside Boons And Curses and Monkey King....

On Monday, Netflix unveiled the first look at Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio, del Toro’s first animated movie. The video features Sebastian J. Cricket (Ewan McGregor), the cricket who lived in Pinocchio’s wooden heart, introducing the magical tale. Del Toro is teaming with the Jim Henson Company and ShadowMachine on this stop-motion animated adaptation of Carlo Collodi’s novel about a puppet boy becoming real. In addition to McGregor as Cricket, the voice cast also includes David Bradley as Geppetto, Gregory Mann as Pinocchio, Finn Wolfhard, Cate Blanchett, John Turturro, Ron Perlman, Tim Blake Nelson, and Burn Gorman, with Christoph Waltz and Tilda Swinton....

Ryan Reynolds took a moment to reach out to a fan with Cancer this weekend. Julie Rohr got diagnosed with Leiomyosarcoma in 2015. That rare variant of cancer grows in specific smooth muscle types. She told her family and friends that she was beginning hospice care last week. Well, Twitter stepped in and decided to shower Rohr with positive messages. Dan Levy from Schitt’s Creek decided to help cheer up the Edmonton resident and other Canadian celebrities decided to follow suit....

Scott Snyder and Tony Daniel’s popular Image Comics series Nocterra is being adapted as a television series for Netflix. On Monday, it was announced that Netflix is teaming with writer Robert Patino to develop the adaptation as part of a new, multiple-year overall deal Patino has with the streamer, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Patino currently serves as showrunner for HBO Max’s upcoming adaptation of DMZ. He will create and develop projects for Netflix via his Analog Inc....

Thanks to Disney+, it’s an exciting time to be a Star Wars fan. There are a whole lot of projects to look forward to from Lucasfilm, but sometimes it’s fun to look back and reminisce over what we already have. The official Twitter account for Star Wars shared a fun little video today that honors some of the franchise’s best duos. The tweet features Rey and BB-8 from the sequels, Ezra Bridger & Kanan Jarrus from Star Wars Rebels, Finn and Poe from the sequels, K-2SO and Cassian Andor from Rogue One, Flix and Orka from Star Wars Resistance, Han Solo and Chewbacca pictured in the sequels, Chirrut Îmwe and Baze Malbus from Rogue One, Anakin Skywalker and Ahsoka Tano from Clone Wars, Rey and Finn from the sequels (they’re such good pals, they made the list twice), C-3PO and R2-D2 pictured in the original trilogy, and Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan from the prequels....

The Suicide Squad has been in theaters and on HBO Max for almost a month now, and James Gunn’s take on the DC Comics universe has definitely blown fans away. The film is jam-packed with references and homages to various corners of comics, all with an ensemble that has never entirely crossed paths before. While The Suicide Squad has no shortage of bloody and shocking deaths, a number of characters do survive the film, and some have been curious to see exactly where they will pop up next....

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness may be the first MCU horror movie, but the Marvel Studios movie’s blooper reel is a gag. With Doctor Strange 2 streaming June 22 on Disney+ and arriving July 26 on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray and DVD, Marvel Studios has released outtakes revealing the on-set madness behind the magic: flubbed lines, laughing, and lots of dancing. At last, Call of Duty: Warzone is bringing a much-needed update to players around the globe. Warzone players have had several complaints since the arrival of Season 2 Reloaded, mainly in regards to a couple of weapons from Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. The Tactical Rifle Charlie (aka, the AUG) and FFAR 1 have been absolute powerhouse weapons in Warzone. It has left a lot of folks who don’t have Black Ops Cold War feeling like they were at a disadvantage, given the power and accuracy of those two weapons compared to everything else in the game....

The latest episode of Disney’s Disney twenty-three fan magazine has been revealed to the public and with it the promise of the revelations about a host of highly anticipated Disney properties that are on the way. Walt Disney Animation Studios new fantasy adventure Raya and the Last Dragon made the cover for the issue and in addition features interviews with sars Kelly Marie Tran (Star Wars: The Last Jedi) and Awkwafina (Marvel Studios’ Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings) plus directors Don Hall and Carlos López Estrada....

Lara Croft joined Fortnite as part of the current season’s new Battle Pass, and now players will have the chance to enjoy additional Tomb Raider content thanks to the Mystery at Croft Manor experience. From now through March 30th, players will be able to explore Croft Manor in Fortnite Creative. In the experience, Winston, the Croft family butler, has discovered strange lights and effects emanating from within the building. Players must explore the location’s depths in order to solve the mystery....

G4 is ramping up for its official re-debut and has announced the hires of two more on-air talents to the network. G4 has announced that YouTube personalities Gina Darling and Jirard “The Completionist” Khalil will be joining the gaming network’s re-launch this fall. Khalil is best known for his “The Completionist” YouTube channel where he posts videos of him 100% completing various video games every week. Khalil will appear on G4’s various gaming content, including X-Play, G4 Esports and various live stream content....

A long-awaited Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch Lite, and Nintendo Switch OLED RPG has been canceled after several previous delays. Many of the best RPGs of the last decade or so are available on the Nintendo Switch. For example, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Skyrim, and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild are all available on Nintendo Switch. These are probably the three best RPGs of the last 10 years or so....

At this point, it is known that the upcoming Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy video game from Square Enix and Eidos-Montreal – set to release on October 26th – isn’t a direct, word-for-word replica or adaptation of any kind of source material. Instead, it takes all of that source material to then synthesize it into something entirely new. As such, it should likely come as no surprise that the developers have concocted their own reasoning for why Peter Quill would call himself Star-Lord in the video game, and while it’s certainly different, if you are at all familiar with any of the character’s various incarnations, it likely will not surprise you....

The calendar may read July for one more week, but General Mills’ Monster Cereals are already being spotted in stores. Arguably most exciting of all, the boxes this year are being reverted to the retro designs the cereals were first introduced in, all to celebrate the line’s 50th birthday. Boruto: Naruto Next Generations has shared new details about the anime’s next opening and ending themes! The series has been slowly making its way through original content for the anime following the Otsutsuki Awakening arc of the Kawaki saga, but now that the anime is going to be quite distant from those events pretty soon, it’s going to need a new coat of paint to get a head start on the new year....

Netflix has officially added video games – actual, straight-up video games – to the service today. In case you missed it, Netflix recently hired Mike Verdu as vice president of game development as part of a larger plan to offer video games and later announced that video games would be offered as part of the normal Netflix subscription at no additional cost. What Netflix had not said is when that might happen, but, well, today is the day!...
