It seems as if a number of scientists from the Riken Scientific Institute and the Institute of Statistical Mathematics will be jumping into the publication to talk about the impact that math and science have on the journey of the sorcerers of Jujutsu Tech....

Monster Hunter is one of the biggest properties created by the video game producers at Capcom, with last year seeing the arrival of the live-action movie starring Mila Jovovich that brought the monster-ridden world to the silver screen, and it seems like Netflix is also diving in on the video game franchise with an upcoming animated film. Using computer-generated graphics, Monster Hunter: Legends of the Guild has released a new trailer and poster for the film that will arrive on the streaming service on August 12th, telling a new tale of the popular gaming universe....

Sir Sidney Poitier, famed Academy Award-winning actor and one of the last surviving members of Hollywood’s Golden Age, has died at the age of 94. The first reports of Poitier’s death came from news sources in the Bahamas, the actor’s home, which he proudly represented throughout his career. According to those reports, Poitier’s death was confirmed by Bahamian Minister of Foreign Affairs Fred Mitchell, though no cause of death or further details have been reported (at the time of writing this)....

One of the artists that previously worked on Nintendo’s Star Fox franchise has called for the company to bring the latest installment in the series, Star Fox Zero, to Switch. Star Fox Zero launched back in 2016 on Wii U and was largely not well-received by both fans and critics. Despite this, over the past few years, many have started to call for Nintendo to bring the game to Switch so that it could have a second life....

The otherworldly nature of the galaxy far, far away means that Star Wars viewers have been treated to bizarre characters and creatures for decades, with Lucasfilm creatives regularly showing off their ambitions with character designs. However, a character that looks a specific way in one medium might not look the way fans expect in another medium, which would include the bounty hunter Cad Bane. Previously having debuted in Star Wars: The Clone Wars, his look could be created more organically, with his recent appearance in the live-action Star Wars: The Book of Boba Fett forcing some tweaks being made to his design....

Cash Wheeler returned to Twitter on Wednesday night with details surrounding the gruesome injury he suffered last month. The July 28 episode of AEW Dynamite saw FTR take on Santana & Ortiz in a long-awaited grudge match, but the bout was quickly wrapped up when Wheeler suffered a deep cut on his arm when it hit a hook on the corner ring post. In both a tweet and a promo on Dynamite, Dax Harwood and Wheeler admitted the latter had suffered potential nerve damage from the injury, and that their future as a tag team could be in doubt past a rematch with Proud ’n’ Powerful....

Critical Role’s newest character is a callback to one of the show’s most hilarious one-shots. Critical Role’s newest campaign is in full swing, although its roster of player characters is a bit different then before. Notably, several cast members have chosen to reprise characters from past games, adding a level of continuity and familiarity to a brand new story. This trend continues in the most recent episode, or at least it will have longtime fans feeling like they’ve met the show’s newest character before....

Disney has moved to make one giant change to their behind-the-scenes operations with the theme parks. According to a letter to cast members (credit to Theme Park Insider), most of the Disney Parks Experiences and Products division management will be making a move from Los Angeles to Florida. 2,000 people will have to migrate over the next 18 months. The move has drawn some criticism online because of the wild nature of such a decision....

EA has announced this week that former soccer star Alex Scott will officially be a goal commentator in the upcoming video game FIFA 22, which is set to release for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Google Stadia, and PC via Origin on October 1st. This makes Scott the first-ever English-speaking female commentator for the FIFA franchise. As a goal commentator, Scott will essentially report on goals from other games during the course of a FIFA 22 match....

This year marks 20 years since Kevin Smith’s Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back hit theatres. Smith brought back many of the comedy film’s characters in 2019’s Jay & Silent Bob Reboot, including cameos from James Van Der Beek and Jason Biggs. However, there were some big names from the first film who are no longer with us, including Carrie Fisher and George Carlin. In honor of the movie’s upcoming anniversary, Smith has been sharing some throwbacks from the film’s set, including stories about all of the aforementioned actors....

Marvel star Don Cheadle just set the gold standard for how actors should respond to MCU questions if they’re nervous. During a Zoom interview for ACE Comic Con, the War Machine actor decided to just get up and leave for a minute after being asked about Armor Wars. Angelique Roche thought it was hysterical as well. This week’s AEW Dynamite culminated in a TNT Championship match that saw Miro brutalize Darby Allin en route to winning his first title with the company. Since then both men have reacted to the decisive title change, with Allin cutting an emotional promo for the fans inside Daily’s Place after the show went off the air. With Sting by his side, Allin said, “When I became TNT champion, I told everybody it was the only championship that meant anything to me....

WWE Superstar Sasha Banks was featured in the opening video package for Monday night’s College Football Playoff National Championship game between the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Georgia Bulldogs. The video begins at the 2021 National Championship game with Banks grabbing a piece of confetti from the field before stepping back inside of a portal. She then melts down the piece into a golden liquid and, using a futuristic syringe, releases a single drop to cause a beam of energy to shoot up into the sky....

Wheel of Fortune host Pat Sajak was in hot water with some viewers after he mocked a contestant’s speech impediment during a recent episode. Things began to develop this week after some posts on social media showed the longtime game show staple ribbing one of the hopefuls. Chris Brimble is one of the people who was trying to take home the top prize on Monday’s show. The contestant has a lisp and viewers noticed it even more after the host’s teasing....

For more than 50 years, even though eras when the franchise was in a lull, Star Trek fandom has been vibrant and strong. Upon his 90th birthday, and turning himself into artificial intelligence, original Star Trek series star William Shatner reflected on why Gene Roddenberry’s vision has so firmly stood the test of time and why it seems to resonate even more strongly today. Shatner was blunt with the situation we find ourselves in during an appearance on PeopleTV’s Couch Surfing, stating that “We’re on the verge of extinction....

WWE Champion Bobby Lashley opened Monday Night Raw this week with a non-title match against Xavier Woods and wound up on the losing end. Lashley dominated the New Day member throughout the match, nailing his Spear finisher before deciding to prolong the match with more punishment. But just when it looked like Woods was out cold, he rolled up the world champion with a Small Package and secured the victory. The show was taped last week as WWE’s time in the ThunderDome came to an end, but it still means Lashley was pinned in his final match before his WWE Championship match with Kofi Kingston at Money in the Bank this Sunday....

Bobby Lashley and Drew McIntyre will battle over the WWE Championship inside Hell in a Cell at tonight’s Hell in a Cell pay-per-view. If McIntyre loses, he can never challenge for the WWE title again as long as Lashley’s reign continues. And between the possibility of a dream match with Lesnar at SummerSlam, the betting odds being stacked in his favor and McIntyre seemingly losing steam in the eyes of vocal online fans lately, it seems like “The All Mighty” is favored to win this final confrontation....

ESPN hosted the 29th annual ESPY awards on Saturday night in New York City, and WWE’s presence was once again felt with the return of the Best WWE Moment award. After narrowing down the nominations from 16 via fan voting, the final four nominations included Edge winning the Royal Rumble from the No. 1 spot, Bianca Belair winning the Women’s Rumble, Bad Bunny hitting a Canadian Destroyer at WrestleMania 37 and Belair and Sasha Banks closing out Night One of WrestleMania as the main event....
