Kyle O’Reilly’s WWE contract officially expired this month, allowing him to appear in any other promotion following his farewell on the Dec. 7 episode of NXT. And just like Adam Cole, O’Reilly isn’t wasting any time teasing what his next move will be. AEW Dynamite: Winter is Coming featured a backstage segment with Cole, The Young Bucks and Bobby Fish where Cole promised a special “Christmas present” on next week’s edition of AEW Dynamite (which has been given a Holiday Bash theme)....

Dark Horse announced that Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra will be getting some titles for Free Comic Book Day. The publisher told fans about the news on social media, and people are excited. Over the course of the coronavirus pandemic, both series have experienced a surge of interest. Both The Last Airbender and Korra were highly-influential kids shows during their heyday. With Dark Horse’s titles, fans can get even more of the story with characters like Aang and his friends....

John Walker’s US Agent finally made his debut in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Fans had been expecting this villainous turn from the character for a while now. But, the finale saw Wyatt Russell’s disgraced Captain America put on that black and red suit. In the episode, he’s put on notice about the incoming threat to the Earth by Contessa Valentina Allegra de Fontaine. So, when that arrives, she’s arguing that they won’t need a Captain America, but rather a US Agent....

Fans got their first official look at DC’s Black Adam movie on Friday, when a sixty-second teaser shared a new look at DC Films’ 2022 slate. The biggest surprise out of the footage was the glimpse at the Justice Society of America, an iconic group of DC heroes who will be sharing the screen with Black Adam (Dwayne Johnson) in the film. The snippets of footage provided glimpses at Carter Hall / Hawkman (Aldis Hodge), Kent Nelson / Doctor Fate (Pierce Brosnan), Albert Rothstein / Atom Smasher (Noah Centineo), and Maxine Hunkel / Cyclone (Quintessa Swindell) — and in the process, it appears to have teased an adorable sidekick from JSA history....

Potential collaborations between Fall Guys and Fortnite have been brewing for some time now, but it looks like we may actually be getting a crossover of that sort soon. Following recent insights into the battle royale game’s files following one of its weekly updates, another instance of some Fall Guys content coming to Fortnite was spotted recently. Epic Games has not yet announced any official crossover plans at this time, however, but past leaks have mentioned skins and other cosmetics which will likely be the minimum of whatever may be planned....

Mobile Suit Gundam has seen some big events take place in the past few years, whether it be the first steps of the “Walking Gundam” in Japan or the recent release of the new animated movie on Netflix in Hathaway’s Flash, but it seems as if the franchise created by Yoshiyuki Tomino will be entering into the world of personal computers. Former NFL punter and NXT personality Pat McAfee made the jump to Friday Night SmackDown’s commentary desk this past week. A vigilante calling himself both “Bruce Wayne” and the “Stockton Batman” claims that he’s captured a double murder suspect in Lodi, California. According to a report by 209 Times (via Brobible), the vigilante allegedly “recognized a transient he was familiar with and approached him. After noticing he was covered in blood and had slice wounds to his hand and leg, he detained him and immediately called Lodi police.” While CBS Sacramento initially reported that the police had not confirmed the Stockton Batman’s claims, which were shared on social media including a YouTube video of the suspect being arrested, a later report confirmed that an arrest had been made in a double murder case with that arrest “made in part to the man who calls himself Stockton’s Batman....

Cody Rhodes (and his wife Brandi) officially left AEW on Tuesday. And now the question on every wrestling fan’s mind is whether or not “The American Nightmare” will return to WWE for the first time since asking for his release from the company back in 2016. Multiple reports regarding the situation have already pointed in that direction — Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp, Ariel Hewlani and the Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer all confirmed in reports on Wednesday that conversations between Rhodes and WWE officials have taken place....

The Alvin and the Chipmunks franchise is reportedly for sale and new ownership of the iconic property comes with a hefty price tag. According to CNBC, Bagdasarian Productions, the current owner of the franchise, is looking to sell for about $300 million. The report also indicates that Bagdasarian Productions owner Ross Bagdasarian Jr. and his wife, Janice Karman, have held talks with a number of potential buyers including ViacomCBS, but have not yet come to an agreement on terms....

Black Widow star O-T Fagbenle had to give it up for his co-star Florence Pugh when asked about the upcoming Marvel feature. The actor talked about Cate Shortland’s MCU picture in a conversation with Entertainment Tonight. A lot of the film’s story has been kept under wraps due to the pandemic and numerous delays. However, Fagbenle had to mention Pugh’s performance when sharing what little he could about the project. A big theme of this film and Marvel’s theatrical output in general is found family....

Dungeons & Dragons has confirmed a major twist to a classic Domain of Dread in its upcoming Ravenloft sourcebook. Wizards of the Coast is starting its promotional push for Van Richten’s Guide to Ravenloft, a new campaign setting book updating the classic horror setting of Ravenloft. While we got a recent glimpse of Ravenloft in the Curse of Strahd adventure, Van Richten’s Guide to Ravenloft will provide updates and information for around 30 different Domains of Dread that make up the world of Ravenloft....

Genshin Impact’s Version 1.6 update, “Midsummer Island Adventure,” is finally here, and it brings with it a whole host of new quests and other updates. That includes a new limited-time island area to explore and the very first instance of character skins, one each for the Anemo-attuned playable character Jean and the Hydro-attuned playable character Barbara. The new update also includes the addition of the Anemo-attuned playable character Kaedehara Kazuha, though he is not yet available as part of the in-game character banner....

Kaguya-sama: Love is War is readying for the release of the anime’s third season with some new posters! The second season of the series officially came to an end a couple of years ago and teased fans with the fact it would be returning with a third season someday. Thankfully it was soon confirmed to be in the works, and the third season of the series is now scheduled to launch this April as part of the Spring 2022 anime schedule....

Critical Role got a surprising shout-out from the Merriam-Webster Dictionary. Earlier this week, Merriam-Webster’s Twitter account announced that 455 words and phrase were added to its dictionary, reflecting the ever-evolving use of everyday vernacular. These words and phrases range from “dad bod” to “super-spreader,” and mostly reflect popular phrases and words that have popped up over the last few months. Merriam-Webster also added several new food-related words and phrases to its dictionary, including “fluffernutter,” which is officially described as “a sandwich made with peanut butter and marshmallow crème between two slices of white sandwich bread....

Some Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S users were set to get a new feature today, but it looks like it was unexpectedly delayed at the last second. A new Alpha Skip-Ahead Xbox Insider update dropped today on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S.
