Some viewers in the UK got The Family Stone when they were looking for Justice League’s Snyder Cut. Basically, people were looking for the DC Comics film on Sky Cinema, and instead, they were treated to a romantic comedy from 2005. It’s a bizarre situation, which becomes even more interesting when you factor in how HBO Max accidentally posted Zack Snyder’s Justice League early. However, there is a way to retrieve the film on-demand with Sky Cinema, so no harm is done....

Marvel just unveiled the new Iron Fist and fans are trying to guess who it could be. The company announced that there would be a new five-issue miniseries written by Alyssa Wong starting February 16th. Michael YG will be handling the art with Jay Ramos on colors. Jim Cheung drew that cover that got everyone talking this week. A new hero has taken up the Chi of Shou-Lao the Undying…or so it would seem....

Marvel’s Eternals reportedly will not have a simultaneous release in theaters and on Disney+ Premier Access, making it the second Marvel Studios movie so far this year to show only in theaters after Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. The Kevin Feige-produced Black Widow, starring Scarlett Johansson as the super-spy Avenger, was the first Marvel movie to do day-and-date and stream via the $29.99-priced Premier Access in July. After Disney CEO Bob Chapek confirmed in August that Marvel’s Shang-Chi would remain a theatrical exclusive for 45 days, Vulture reported that the box office performance of the September release would determine whether Eternals would be available for streaming on the same day it opens in theaters on November 5....

The Batman just released a teaser for the big new trailer releasing this weekend. The full clip for The Batman will release on October 16th at the massive DC FanDome event. In the short clip posted to Twitter, you can hear Robert Pattinson’s hero say that the BatSignal isn’t just a beacon, it’s a warning. These kinds of interpretations of the character have been debated by fans and scholars for a long time....

Today, during BlizzCon, Blizzard revealed our second-ever look at Overwatch 2, a sequel to 2016’s Overwatch in development for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, PC, and Nintendo Switch. Unfortunately, while Blizzard revealed a new look at the game, it didn’t accompany this media dump with information about the game’s release date. Buckle up, this gunslinger’s loaded! A sneak peek at McCree’s new look coming to Overwatch 2....

Rick and Morty’s newest episode has a familiar voice in a brand new character with Alison Brie. In this installment, the Community actress is playing a Captain Planet doppelganger named Planetina. Rick and Morty fans have been looking forward to this pastiche since the season was announced. There are some “Tina-teers” to play off of the other Captain Planet shenanigans. (Things get a bit weird, but of course, they do, it’s the only way Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland know how to get down....

Family Guy has released a COVID-19 awareness PSA featuring the Seth MacFarlane characters. In the clip, Peter expresses fear over getting a shot. But, Bryan and Quahog’s resident doctor are there to provide some answers. The family dog and Stewie go inside of the bloodstream to dispel some myths about how the vaccine functions. (There are some Meg jokes in there, just to make sure viewers realize this is still Family Guy....

Spy x Family has released its latest episode, and has shared a special new poster for Episode 6 to help celebrate! The anime taking on Tatsuya Endo’s original manga series has been powering through its debut run, and now that it has reached the halfway point of the Spring season it’s time for the series to settle into the main arc for the franchise overall. The first half of the debut had seen Twilight putting together a new family in order to somehow get into Eden Academy, and now it’s going to be up to Anya to hold up her end of things and get closer to her new spy father’s ultimate target....

HBO Max fans have been loving Fran Drescher’s The Nanny, and the costume designer talked to Variety about some of those iconic looks. For those unaware, Nanny Fine was serving up some very distinctly 1990s fashion in the sitcom. Brenda Cooper has a book coming out about her work as a costume designer this December called The Silhouette Solution. For a lot of viewers, her outfits for Drescher are imprinted upon them without even realizing it....

Back in 2019, it was reported that Sony had some interest in a remake or a reboot of The Princess Bride. The backlash was almost immediate and unsurprisingly so. The 1987 film is a beloved classic and a major part of popular culture. Chatter about a reboot quickly died out, but even a few years later, star Cary Elwes stands firm in his assertion that remaking the iconic film would be a bad idea....

Talking Dead lives again — live. AMC’s long-running Walking Dead aftershow hosted by Chris Hardwick returns on August 15 with the previously revealed Walking Dead Season 11 Preview Special, the first episode of Talking Dead to air live and in-studio since March 2020. AMC announces Talking Dead will resume weekly live shows to follow new episodes from the Final Season of The Walking Dead on Sundays, beginning with the two-part season premiere “Acheron: Part I” and “Acheron: Part II” on August 22....

WWE has crowned new SmackDown Tag Team Champions at WrestleMania Backlash! Before WrestleMania Backlash officially kicked off, the Dirty Dawgs Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode had attacked Dominik Mysterio backstage. This was to keep the Mysterio father and son duo from successfully taking their shot at the SmackDown Tag Team titles, and thus it seemed like the odds were stacked against Rey Mysterio going into the match. Dominik was deemed too injured to go through with the match following the attack backstage, and Rey Mysterio was left to head into the match alone as it was now a handicap match against both Roode and Ziggler....

Perhaps no other game has caused more of a commotion in 2021 than that of Abandoned. Developed by Blue Box Game Studios, the title was first revealed in the early portion of this year to very little attention. As the months passed, though, some fans began to convince themselves that the project could somehow be associated with Konami’s Silent Hill franchise. These conspiracy theories quickly got out of hand, which led to Blue Box claiming that the studio was receiving numerous death threats as a result....

The Analogue Pocket has officially been delayed from May to October 2021. Analogue revealed the news on Twitter, attributing the delay to the global shortage of semiconductors, which could cause issues for the video game industry as well as several other electronics manufacturers. An e-mail detailing the delay will be sent out to those that pre-ordered the retro console, and gamers will have the option to cancel pre-orders should they so choose....

Ted Cruz and Asmongold may be sitting down to talk about loot boxes in the near future after the US Senator responded to the Twitch streamer’s concerns regarding in-game monetization. Loot boxes have become an incredibly prevalent talking point in the gaming industry over the last decade, even resulting in some legal action from certain countries after it got out of hand. Although a lot of major publishers have since shifted to things like battle passes or just outright microtransactions with no random qualifiers, loot boxes still exist in a number of games including major sports titles like FIFA....

Raven Software is reportedly adding a new feature to Call of Duty: Warzone soon, and it’s looked to PUBG for inspiration. Before there was Fortnite, Apex Legends, or Call of Duty: Warzone, there was PUBG. While H1Z1 is technically the pioneer of the battle royale genre, PUBG was really the first game to popularize it. Then Fortnite brought the genre to the mainstream in a way no ever thought imaginable. Since then, Apex Legends and Call of Duty: Warzone have helped sustain the genre....

Eddie Murphy is set to receive a Distinguished Artisan Award from the Make-Up Artists & Hair Stylists Guild Awards. The Coming 2 America actor will get this honor from his co-star Arsenio Hall. Four decades in the business have seen Murphy deliver a lot of hits from Beverly Hills Cop, The Nutty Professor, and Shrek. All that success comes with some deserved recognition from his peers. In a press release from the Guild, they point out that he’s the most commercially successful African-American actor in the history of the motion picture business....

Designing lifelike humans in a video game can be a time-consuming process for video game developers, but the new MetaHuman Creator for Unreal Engine could make it a much simpler process. According to Epic Games, the cloud-streamed app features a number of different options for crafting “MetaHuman” characters, including hairstyles and body types. Users start by selecting from preset faces and then make adjustments. Once the user is done, the creation can be downloaded through Quixel Bridge for use in Unreal Engine....

A Fortnite leak from earlier this week is coming true, and it has OG fans of the Nintendo Switch, mobile, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S game excited. The anonymous leaker’s first claim was that Mike Lowery (Will Smith’s character in Bad Boys) was getting a skin on August 28. Today, that happened. All of their other claims haven’t come true yet, but the fact that the leaker – who has a reputation for being reliable – got not just the Mike Lowery skin right, but its release date, has everyone looking over the leak again....

Peacock has released the first full trailer for Bel-Air, its dramatic reboot of Will Smith’s ’90s sitcom Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. The trailer comes ahead of its Super Bowl Sunday premiere. Peacock has already ordered two seasons of the new series from showrunners T.J. Brady and Rasheed Newson. “At its heart, Bel-Air is a coming-of-age story that celebrates the strength and love of the Black family. We have stayed true to the original premise of the legacy series – Will’s life is turned upside down after he is forced to leave West Philly and lands in Bel-Air with its gated mansions and wealth, however, our new series brings Will and the Banks family into the world as we know it now,” they said....
