Marvel’s Avengers is getting a new MCU suit today, and this time it’s Thor that it’s getting some shine via the game’s in-game marketplace. It’s unclear how many people across Google Stadia, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, and Xbox Series X are still playing and enjoying the 2020 Avengers game. What is clear is releasing new MCU suits is clearly keeping the lights on over at Crystal Dynamics because after having none at launch Crystal Dynamics is seemingly releasing at least one new MCU suit a week, and every time the outfits are locked behind marketplace purchases....

Some new glow-in-the-dark reptiles have been discovered in Africa. Namibia’s geckos are shining bright under black lights in a new study published in Scientific Reports. Their story says that the trademark stripes and other blots on the animals single them out to other geckos and allow them to remain hidden from predators. There’s been a recent run of animals getting discovered with these fluorescent markings. Platypus in Australia and others for the most eye-popping examples....

Spider-Man: No Way Home’s digital release has been filled with loads of splendor. Numerous behind-the-scenes video and VFX reels have been shared online that only add to the hype. From a deleted fight scene between Willem Dafoe’s Green Goblin and Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man to all three Spider-Man saying goodbye, that makes the film’s extra features pretty awesome. Today, Vanity Fair revealed another fight scene that didn’t make it into the movie, and it’s between Tom Holland’s Spider-Man and Dafoe’s Green Goblin....

The Matrix Resurrections is joining the rest of the Internet in having some fun with the big announcement that Facebook is changing its name to Meta. It’s only fitting, as much of the Matrix 4’s storyline seems to be built on metaphors and themes about how the rise of the digital age and social media became a real-life Matrix worse than the movie series could’ve ever imagined. Now that Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has basically made it his mission statement to make our lives into a Matrix world through his new Meta venture, The Matrix Resurrections is looking less like a late attempt at franchise reboot, and more like one last foreboding warning....

A bunch of Netflix fans have rallied together to sign a petition to save one canceled series. The streaming company does decide to not pursue renewals for dozens of titles a month. But the Cowboy Bebop fans have managed to get 72,000+ together to try and save the show. At the time of writing the petition is nearing the 75,000 signatures needed to become a top-signed entry on the website. Less than 3,000 more people need to climb aboard to raise some eyebrows....

UFC 258 ended with a bang as Kamaru Usman knocked out Gibert Burns in the main event. The fight had been hyped as the meeting of former teammates before the fists started flying. However, from the moment weigh-in occurred, it was clear that there was no love lost between two men who helped improve their craft against each other. Usman got loose in Round 2 and there was no turning back....

Black Clover is getting ready for the new year and the release of its upcoming new movie with some special new art for the start of 2022! Yuki Tabata’s original manga series had quite the transformative 2021 as the anime adaptation wrapped up its impressive 170 episode run. While there was no announcement that the TV anime would continue someday, the final episode of the series did also include the reveal that the first feature film in the franchise was now in the works....

When Call of Duty: Vanguard releases later this year, it seems that the game will offer an unprecedented number of Camos for each gun. According to a datamine shared by @ZestyCODLeaks on Twitter, the game will have 245 Camos per gun, with 254 slots per weapon. According to the leaker, those extra nine spots “could include Mastery/CDL Camos, and some of them could even be ZM Camos.” As with any leak, readers are advised to take this all with a grain of salt until anything official is revealed by Activision....

Anthony Mackie revealed the fan reaction to becoming Captain America after that big The Falcon and the Winter Soldier reveal. He spoke to The Hollywood Reporter along with his co-star Sebastian Stan. Marvel had to be a little bit nervous when the decision was made to hand Sam Wilson the shield. In fact, that could be said to be the main tension during Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Mackie and Stan’s chemistry helped pull it through....

Comic book icon and legend George Pérez has passed on the perfect response after getting a big piece of tribute artwork from Marvel Comics. Marvel released a panel that is titled “George Pérez: Once An Avengers… Always An Avenger”. The panel showed core members of Marvel’s Avengers (especially those characters Perez once drew during his run with the team) all toasting glasses of booze (or water for the non-drinkers) in solemn honor of Perez....

Demon Slayer shocked fans earlier this year when the popular franchise announced that it would be launching the long-awaited second season of the anime later this year, following the insanely profitable run of the franchise’s first movie in Mugen Train, and to celebrate the second anniversary of the anime, the Shonen series has released a brand new poster featuring its biggest characters. Though the release date for either the second season of the anime series or the North America release of Mugen Train is still anyone’s guess, 2021 is shaping up to be a big year for the franchise....

The 94th Academy Awards caught the world’s attention for a number of reasons, from the planned segments to the shocking and unexpected moments. The biggest winner of the night was Warner Bros.’ live-action remake of Dune, which earned six Oscars in total across the night. Among the film’s list of winners was composer Hans Zimmer, who won his second Best Original Score Oscar for his work on the film. While Zimmer did not attend the awards ceremony in person, he did break his silence on the award in a pretty epic way, sharing photos of himself accepting his plastic Oscar while wearing a bathrobe in a hotel in Amsterdam....

Comic-Con is going virtual once again this year due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, but unlike the first time around, the deck is being stacked with tons of interesting projects and panels from series currently in the works. This includes Rooster Teeth and Michael B. Jordan’s Outlier Society production, gen:LOCK, which is now in the midst of getting ready to launch its second season with HBO Max....

The ongoing public “feud” between celebrity pals Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds continued over the weekend, with a social media post from Jackman “calling out” Reynolds for the placement of an advertising banner for Red Notice, the actor’s new Netflix movie with Dwayne Johnson and Gal Gadot. Why? Well, because the placement is less than a block down the street from a large sign celebrating the upcoming Broadway run of The Music Man, starring Jackman and Sutton Foster....

This not only includes a reboot series of one of the most popular iterations, Kamen Rider Black, but an upcoming feature film reboot from Neon Genesis Evangelion creator Hideaki Anno titled Shin Kamen Rider....

Kevin Smith shared that he’s tested positive for COVID-19 this week. On Twitter, the director told his followers that he’s been resting at home after finding out about the diagnosis. There’s just not a lot he can do besides wait this situation out. As an aside, Smith also woke up to the news of the shooting at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde. The filmmaker was heartbroken to hear the news as so many people lost their lives to senseless violence on Tuesday....

Marvel’s Avengers is adding a new Hulk skin for players to purchase later this week. The new skin comes at an odd time for Marvel’s Avengers. Earlier this week, Embracer Group acquired Marvel’s Avengers developer Crystal Dynamics along with several other Western Square Enix studios. Although Marvel titles are included in the transaction, Disney still has to give its ultimate approval on whether Embracer can use the games as they own Marvel....

Naruto has celebrated the release of Boruto: Naruto Next Generations’ Chapter 68 with a special new promo! The fight against Code has reached a surprising new phase as the initial battle with the former Karma member yielded some shocking new results with Boruto Uzumaki losing him life and then being resurrected shortly after. The ensuing chaos might have ended the battle temporarily, but it was soon made clear that the fight was nowhere near over with the newest chapter of the series....
