Paramount+ offered Star Trek fans two sneak previews of Star Trek: Prodigy during yesterday’s NFL football games. Star Trek: Prodigy, the first Star Trek series aimed at younger viewers, debuts this week on Paramount+. Previous footage showed Hologram Janeway’s debut. The first new preview for the series shows two of its characters, Dal (Bretty Gray) and Rok-Tahk (Rylee Alazraqui), powering the USS Protostar on for the first time. The Protostar is a derelict, experimental Starfleet vessel that was somehow left stranded in the Delta Quadrant....

The Walking Dead star Jeffrey Dean Morgan promises the zombie drama’s 30 final episodes are “gonna be special.” In September, AMC Networks announced an eleventh and final season would follow the six bonus episodes extending Season 10. The super-sized Season 11, spanning 24 episodes over two years, arrives later in 2021 and The Walking Dead airs its series finale in 2022. After a 12-year run, the mothership show will live on in the untitled road show spin-off following Daryl (Norman Reedus) and Carol (Melissa McBride) and anthology series Tales of the Walking Dead — just two of the announced projects expanding the Walking Dead Universe....

WWE first broke the news that Cody Rhodes was dealing with an injury on Saturday night when they pulled him from the latest Saturday night’s main event. At first, it looked like WWE was seemingly giving Rhodes the night off as he still appeared on the show and was still promoted for his Hell in a Cell match with Seth Rollins at tonight’s Hell in a Cell pay-per-view. When Detective Comics introduces its new creative team in July, the Batman series will also reveal a brand new logo to go along with its new era. Writer Ram V (Catwoman, The Many Deaths of Laila Starr), artist Rafael Albuquerque (American Vampire, Superman/Batman), and colorist Dave Stewart (Hellboy, Batman: Beyond the White Knight) are the new creative team beginning in July’s Detective Comics #1062. The first story arc is titled “Gotham Nocturne” and is inspired by opera and music, and there’s no better way to set the mood for a gothic opera than with a new logo and cover design....

A lot of traditions and milestones have been thrown into disarray over the past year, as the COVID-19 pandemic has made public gatherings and many occasions more difficult. One event that was definitely affected by the pandemic was the annual Free Comic Book Day, which allows fans to check out a line of free comics from multiple publishers while supporting their local comic book store. As a result of the virus’ ongoing spread, the one-day May event was reworked into a month-long “Free Comic Book May”, before later being changed even further into a summer-long event....

Goblin Slayer is readying for its major second season return with a brutal new poster! The first season of the anime taking on Kumo Kagyu and Noboru Kannatsuki’s original light novel dark fantasy series premiered with one of the most controversial first episodes of not only the Fall 2018 anime schedule, but of that year overall. Following it up with a new animated special released in theaters in 2020, the series has officially announced it will be returning for a second season....

LeVar Burton just gave his reasons for not wanting the Jeopardy! hosting job. Trevor Noah managed to snag the Reading Rainbow star for an appearance on The Daily Show. During their conversation, Burton reacted to all of the drama surrounding the Jeopardy! hosting gig. Both the show and the network had to scramble to find a new host after producer Mike Richards’ decision triggered blowback on social media. If that weren’t enough, reporting from numerous outlets showed that there had been some misconduct in his past....

We’re just a matter of days away from the three-episode premiere of DC’s Peacemaker, the first television show to be set within the DC Films universe. Set after the events of The Suicide Squad, the series will showcase the wild adventures of Christopher Smith / Peacemaker (John Cena), a pacifist superhero who believes in killing anyone necessary to fulfill his mission. A newly-released clip from HBO Max puts the spotlight on one of the unique quirks of Peacemaker’s mission, as he explains to Leota Adebayo (Danielle Brooks) the importance of having his “dove of peace” logo emblazoned on all of his weapons....

It’s been nearly a month since Our Flag Means Death’s first season came to an end on HBO Max, and fans are still eagerly waiting for news of a second season renewal. It’s odd that the streaming service has yet to renew the show considering it’s becoming increasingly more popular. According to Business Insider, the show was the eleventh most in-demand show in the United States and worldwide earlier this month....

A serious fire at a facility run by cloud computing company OVH yesterday has resulted in the complete loss of 25 EU servers for the popular survival video game Rust. Developer Facepunch Studios announced late last night that the servers were affected by the fire with an update just hours ago that the data was “a total loss of the affected EU servers” from the fire and that the affected data will be unable to be restored....

Sebastian Stan shared the perfect theory for how his character read The Hobbit before The Falcon and the Winter Soldier released. @616soldat joked that Steve Rogers getting beat up probably interrupted him finishing the book. It’s a great joke and you can imagine Stan’s deadpan delivery of “he won’t let me read.” Bucky Barnes revealed he read J.R.R. Tolkien’s novel when it released in 1937. It was a fun nod to the fans gesturing toward the Super Soldier’s reading habits back in the day....

One of the most eagerly-anticipated Star Wars projects might just be the Disney+ series Obi-Wan Kenobi. The series, which will take place following the events Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith, will debut on the streaming service sometime in 2022 and now, series executive producer Deborah Chow and star Ewan McGregor tease the series. As part of a sizzle reel for Disney+ Day, while no new clips for the series are shown, McGregor and Chow open up a bit about the series, particularly teasing the series’ setup and the dangers Obi-Wan faces....

Skydance Interactive and Skybound Entertainment have announced that the popular VR survival horror video game The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners is getting a standalone sequel of sorts inexplicably titled – and this is the full, official title – The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners – Chapter 2: Retribution. The new game is set to release for PlayStation VR, Oculus Quest (or Meta Quest), and other PC VR platforms, but no official date or release window has been announced....

WandaVision is Marvel Studios’ first big TV series directly connected to the Marvel Cinematic Universe movies, and as such, the show hasn’t been immune to its fair share of criticisms. The homages to old TV sitcoms, the slow-burn pace, and dangling mysteries have all been fodder for online chat threads, but there’s a few memes that may perfectly sum up the biggest problem that Marvel fans seem to have with WandaVision: the show’s short runtime and the constant surprise of the end credits rolling!...

Xbox Game Pass continues to be a big draw for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, as the service now seems to have 23 million subscribers. That figure comes from Windows Central’s Jez Corden, who shared the number on Twitter. According to industry analyst @BenjiSales, the service was at 18 million subscribers in January, meaning five million new subscribers have joined since. That’s an incredible figure, and it shows that the service is finding a lot of popularity among gamers....
