When it comes to Marvel, Disney+ Day on Friday gave fans a lot to be excited about. There were new looks at shows coming to the streaming platform including Hawkeye. The live-action series will see Clint Barton (Jeremy Renner) and Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld) on their own epic adventure and now, we have a brand new synopsis for the eagerly anticipated series, one that teases the return of street-level stories. Superman fans just got a look at what the latest incarnation of the hero will be wearing. If you haven’t heard, Supes is losing his powers and Earth needs a hero. In his stead, Jonathan Kent will be on call to defend Earth. Now, he’s been asked to contribute in the fights to save his home before. But, this might be a little different than anything the young hero has seen before....

Fans of DC’s Stargirl will get to see more of Joel McHale’s Sylvester Pemberton/Starman in Tuesday’s pivotal flashback episode “Summer School: Chapter Nine”, but that won’t be the last they see of the actor. McHale has officially been upped to series regular status for The CW series’ third season. McHale shared the news himself during an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show (via TV Line). McHale doesn’t offer any details about how he will be incorporated into the third season of the series and considering what fans have already seen regarding Starman, that makes sense....

Super Bowl LVI’s pre-game coverage featured a full 30-second advertisement from Peacock promoting WWE’s upcoming WrestleMania 38 event on April 2-3 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington (Dallas), TX. The only two matches confirmed for the show so far are Universal Champion Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar and SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair vs. Ronda Rousey, and the ad featured stars from both the past and present while labeling WrestleMania season with all sorts of descriptive adjectives....

Xbox and Rockstar Energy Drink have revealed a new series of Master Chief-inspired energy drink cans that come with unlockable Halo Infinite in-game content like customization options and 2XP as well as the chance to win other prizes. The possible prizes range wildly from a copy of Halo Infinite all the way to a custom Jeep Gladiator in the United States. The special collaboration is available now and will remain so through the launch of Halo Infinite for the Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, and PC on December 8th, but the official rules indicate that the attached sweepstakes will actually conclude on December 31st....

The world lost a comedic legend on Tuesday, as news broke that comedian and Saturday Night Live alum Norm Macdonald had died at the age of 61. Macdonald passed away after a long and private battle with cancer, and the entire entertainment industry immediately began mourning the tremendous loss. Social media became instantly flooded with good memories from the comedian, clips from his epic skits and appearances on late night TV, and touching tributes from those who were privileged enough to know him....

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness star Benedict Cumberbatch says that this movie is on the level of Spider-Man: No Way Home. The MCU actor explained what he meant in the latest issue of Empire Magazine. During a feature about the highly-anticipated Marvel movie, Cumberbatch explained that the scope of this film matches the ambition of Tom Holland’s wildly-successful Spidey crossover. From the little that fans have seen of Multiverse of Madness, that seems to be the direction things are heading....

There’s a new comic book publisher on the scene, and it’s launching with an all-star roster of creative talent. Zestworld is the newest subscription-based publisher working to give creators more of a financial stake in the projects they help produce. If a Zestworld title is adapted into a television or movie, the creators retain the overall rights, compared to work-for-hire contracts with the Big 2 of Marvel Comics and DC Comics....

After playing Mick Rory/Heat Wave for six seasons on DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, Dominic Purcellexited The CW series in the Season 6 finale, “The Fungus Amongus”. The episode saw Mitch choose to head off into the cosmos with the alien Kayla and the babies they’d had together, choosing family over continued adventures with the Legends. Now, with Legends heading into Season 7 next week, co-showrunner Keto Shimizu is opening up about Purcell’s exit and what it means for the Legends crew....

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness has finally arrived, with the Marvel blockbuster arriving to great fanfare and an impressive box office this past weekend. As much as Multiverse of Madness is concerned with the long-running character arcs of Stephen Strange / Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) and Wanda Maximoff / Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen), it’s been a bit of an open secret that the film has its fair share of surprises with regards to larger Marvel canon....

Marvel just gave What If…? fans another look at the upcoming adventure with Killmonger. The Black Panther villain was a fan-favorite after the release of that film. So, it should be no surprise that they’re bringing him back for this Disney+ series. It seems as though Michael B. Jordan’s character will meet Tony Stark much earlier in the MCU timeline during What If. In effect, Killmonger will be serving as a bodyguard of sorts for this universe’s version of Robert Downey Jr....

Neil Gaiman gave a cheeky thanks to One Million Moms, the conservative activist group who threatened a boycott of Lucifer, following the news that the series was 2021’s most-streamed TV show. Noting that The Sandman was the subject of a boycott by the same group when it first launched as a comic, Gaiman joked that he knew the Lucifer TV spinoff was going to be good when he heard the group had targeted it....

Nintendo and The Pokemon Company kicked off their Pokemon Presents event this week with Pokemon Unite news pertaining to some new Pokemon coming to the game as well as the release date for the mobile version. For those waiting to play the game off of their Nintendo Switch, you’ll be able to do so on September 22nd when the mobile version releases. Like the Nintendo Switch version, it’ll be available for free, too....

Samuel L. Jackson is back as Nick Fury in Secret Invasion, and the actor is teasing his character’s future going forward in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The Disney+ event series is adapting the Marvel Comics story of the same name, and will also continue threads established in Spider-Man: Far From Home and the post-credits scene of the WandaVision finale. Fans have seen Nick Fury working with the Skrulls in 2019’s Captain Marvel and Spider-Man: Far From Home, as well as seemingly recruiting a grown-up Monica Rambeau in WandaVision....

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate director Masahiro Sakurai – who is also the creator of the Nintendo series – has teased his new and next game, though, right now, it remains to be seen if it’s a new Super Smash Bros. game. Sakurai is best known for the platform fighter series, but he also has director credits on Kirby and Kid Icarus. That said, the chances Sakurai is working on these two series are slim, as the former is active without him while the latter has been put on ice....

Even as Season 7 of The Flash is in full swing, fans of the hit The CW series have already begun looking ahead to the future, with the series’ already-greenlit eighth season shrouded in a lot of mystery. On Wednesday, it was confirmed that three of the series’ original stars will be returning for those new episodes. Jesse L. Martin (Joe West), Candice Patton (Iris West-Allen), and Danielle Panabaker (Caitlin Snow and Killer Frost) have all reportedly closed new deals with Warner Bros....

We’re a little over a month away from the debut of The Suicide Squad, and the DC Comics blockbuster is already finding its way into the public consciousness. The characters from the live-action film will be appearing in countless toys, comics, and other pieces of merchandise — and now, it looks like they’ll even be crossing over into reality TV. On Wednesday, The Suicide Squad writer-director James Gunn shared a promo for an upcoming episode of Wipeout, which just so happens to be hosted by The Suicide Squad and Peacemaker star John Cena....

After working on Apex Legends’ server problems throughout the weekend, Respawn Entertainment released a new update for the game on Wednesday in hopes of fixing the problems players have been encountering since the start of the Evolution event. Players were able to download the update on Wednesday prior to Respawn’s official announcement, but shortly afterwards, a set of patch notes was released to detail everything that had changed. Topping the list of patch notes was a solution that was supposed to resolve crashing errors players were experiencing, though it’s not guaranteed that players will be without crashes entirely....

WWE WrestleMania notably did not feature a title defense from WWE Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair on the card, and Becky Lynch called her out for it only for Belair to respond in kind! As the card for WrestleMania Backlash came together over the last few weeks, something fans had noticed was that there was only one major match from the Women’s Division on the card overall. With Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rousey fighting over the SmackDown Women’s Championship, this left the Raw Women’s Champion completely out of the premium live event overall....

Disney unveiled a statue of Rocket Raccoon and Groot at Epcot this morning. Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn was absolutely stoked about the development. He posted a picture on Twitter and fans got Groot trending on the platform in no time. Walt Disney World is celebrating its 50th Anniversary this weekend and there have been a ton of festivities. They televised a special commemorating the 50th Anniversary as many stars came and performed as a part of the show....
