Square Enix has pulled back the curtain on new concept art from Final Fantasy VII Remake. This time around, the concept art is wholly centered around the Chocobo, the Final Fantasy franchise’s beloved creatures. The game’s official Japanese Twitter account revealed a handful of new pieces, featuring art of the creatures themselves, as well as a Chocobo-drawn carriage, and a Chocobo-themed popcorn stand. For fans of the PlayStation exclusive, it’s a neat look behind the curtain at some of the work that goes into bringing these creatures to life!...
Hathor Bjornsson is looking absolutely jacked ahead of his boxing match with Eddie Hall. The Mountain actually decided to take things to the squared circle last year. He and Hall have had a burgeoning rivalry for years now. What better way to settle their differences than boxing? There’s a big announcement coming for the Harley Quinn animated series, most likely tied to when Season 3 will drop on HBO Max. Writer/producer Patrick Schumacker shared the news that a big Harley Quinn announcement is coming on Tuesday, June 28th, along with new artwork that features the Batman villains The Court of Owls. HBO Max revealed Season 3 of Harley Quinn arrives on the streaming service in July, though an exact premiere date wasn’t announced....
All Elite Wrestling World Champion Kenny Omega was named the No. 1 wrestler on the annual PWI 500 rankings list, taking home the honor for the second time in his career. Omega found himself outside the top 10 on the 2020 list, but after winning the AEW title from Jon Moxley in December he set off opening the “Forbidden Door” between AEW and other wrestling companies. Taking on the new nickname “The Belt Collector,” Omega began appearing in Impact Wrestling and defeated Rich Swann for the Impact World Championship at the Rebellion pay-per-view on April 25....
Former WWE Superstar Andrade made his surprise arrival in Lucha Libre AAA this past weekend at the Rey de Reyes event. In a show-closing video promo he called out AEW star Kenny Omega to a match for the AAA Mega Championship, the Mexican promotion’s top prize that “The Cleaner” has held for well over a year. “El Idolo” demanded the two have a match at Triplemania, AAA’s equivalent of WrestleMania, prompting a response from Omega on Twitter — “I’m a busy guy, give me some time to think about it....
Marvel’s Avengers just recently got its War for Wakanda expansion that added Black Panther to the game, and with that came a number of different outfits for the hero. These outfits showed different versions of Black Panther inspired by comics and other stories, but one outfit that was absent from the initial lineup was the Marvel Cinematic Universe version of the character which is likely the one most people are familiar with by now....

Last week’s Friday Night SmackDown featured a bizarre scene where Murphy made his first appearance on television in months only to turn back into a heel and try to rekindle his alliance with Seth Rollins. Pete Davidson will no longer be on Blue Origin’s next space flight. The Saturday Night Live star was a headliner of the upcoming New Shephard launch. PlayStation 5’s new State of Play gave fans a new look at Five Nights at Freddy’s Security Breach. The trailer gave us the name of the main character Gregory, who is being led through this neon facility. He’s being directed by an unknown character who is aiding him in evading the Glamrock animatronics in this game. Security Breach seems like a definite departure from the series’ roots in stationary camera-watching gameplay....
Action star Tom Cruise has been no stranger to pushing the envelope in his films, and as was announced last year, the actor has hoped to take his filmography literally into the cosmos, with plans to film a movie in space. The buzzed-about project has since gained a director and a reportedly hefty budget, but apparently the actor has already been beaten to the punch. On Tuesday, Russia sent a film crew onto the International Space Station, with plans to undergo a twelve-day production schedule on The Challenge, an upcoming film shot entirely in space....
New Year’s Eve was quite different in 2020, with a more subdued celebration than in years past. Instead of crowds populating Times Square viewers saw a mostly empty area with a few hosts and several virtual performances, making it one of the more interesting year-end celebrations to date. This is especially true if you watched CNN’s New Year’s coverage, which was helmed by Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen. The Suicide Squad is now playing in theaters and is available to stream on HBO Max until September 5th. Previously, director James Gunn explained that you don’t need to see the 2016 Suicide Squad in order to understand his new take on Task Force X. Though best known for his many comic book adaptations with DC, filmmaker Zack Snyder started his feature film career with 2004’s Dawn of the Dead remake. At the time the idea of remaking George A. Romero’s 1978 classic was considered sacrilege but the film ended up a success and helped launch Snyder forward. He would dabble mostly in superheroes after that but he recently returned to the world of the undead with Netflix’s Army of the Dead, a project that has been in development for over 10 years and which, despite a similar naming convention, isn’t connected to the 2004 film....
After weeks of anticipation, Eclipso made his in-the-flesh debut on DC’s Stargirl Tuesday night. The terrifying entity broke free from the Black Diamond he had been imprisoned in, having been manipulating Cindy Burman (Meg DeLacy) all along. It marked the first time viewers have gotten to see Eclipso in his menacing true form and witness just how horrifying it is when he consumes the souls of his victims and according to Nick Tarabay, who plays Eclipso, the physical experience of being in the Eclipso costume helped influence how he brought the character to life....
