All Elite Wrestling’s crossover with Impact Wrestling was kicked into another gear Tuesday, as Matt Hardy and Private Party made a surprise appearance on this week’s Impact. Early in the show Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson hit the ring to brag about their reign as Impact World Tag Team Champions, only to get interrupted by Chris Sabin. He argued that the Motor City Machine Guns deserve a title shot, but was quickly reminded that Alex Shelley wasn’t in the building....

AEW Rampage and WWE SmackDown will actually be going head to head a bit next Friday, as a special supersized SmackDown will overlap with Rampage for the first half-hour. Rampage will be on TNT as usual, while SmackDown will be on FS1, and Tony Khan is ready for the battle. Khan took to Twitter after hearing about the supersized episode, and it’s safe to say that Khan wants all the smoke, saying that he is ready to finally beat WWE’s main show head to head (via Fightful)....

A new Mario-themed update will release in Animal Crossing: New Horizons on Nintendo Switch later this week, in case you missed it. During last week’s Nintendo Direct, a number of features from the update were showcased, including Mario costumes, coins, mushrooms, and more. The coolest feature, however, might be the option to add warp pipes that allow players to travel around their island in style. These pipes will offer a practical benefit as well as some amazing potential for new island designs....

Nintendo is rolling out another update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and this time people will be able to show off their islands with a website for the Island Tour Creator. Back during the release window for the game, fans of the series got a real kick out of being able to showcase their digs for social media. Well, this new web application will surely help New Horizons fans share their excitement for all those new items that have been released recently....

Arrow actor Colin Salmon was hospitalized with COVID-19. The news comes straight from the James Bond star on social media. He filmed a video about the larger COVID-19 initiatives and vaccine efforts for Britain’s residents. Nine days later he’s on the mend after being in the hospital with the disease. Now, Salmon is asking fans to watch that message again and to be responsible for themselves and others. People are pouring in with messages of encouragement as he recovers from the coronavirus....

A new Call of Duty: Vanguard update has been released and it includes a new playlist that allows players to test things like spawns. Call of Duty: Vanguard has been met with some backlash by fans of the series since its launch. Not only were there some half-baked modes, but the game felt rushed and even incomplete in some areas. Despite the fact it topped sales charts at the end of 2021, Activision was reportedly disappointed in the game’s performance, which has possibly led to next year’s entry being delayed....

Chainsaw Man first debuted in the pages of Weekly Shonen Jump in 2018, but the anime franchise has wasted little time in ascending the ranks as one of the biggest properties in the medium at present, and it seems as if the story of Denji will be getting some brand new stories via its upcoming first novel. With the series set to receive an anime adaptation via Studio MAPPA, fans are waiting to see when the bloody tale of Denji will hit the small screen and how the television series will cover the insane world of devils....

Ed Asner, the award-winning actor who played Lou Grant on The Mary Tyler Moore Show and went on to become a TV, film, and animation icon, will appear in The Muppets Haunted Mansion, out next month on Disney+. The actor, also known for roles in Roots, Up, and Elf, passed away last month, and The Muppets Haunted Mansion will be his first post-mortem appearance on screen. Since his role in the movie is a cameo appearance, it was not previously disclosed, and does not appear on his IMDb page, where the prolific actor has a number of other projects in various stages of completion and intended for release in 2021 and 2022....

WWE has released well over 100 wrestlers since the start of 2020, and while most of them are no longer held down by the 90-day “No Compete” clauses in their WWE contracts many of them still haven’t found new homes in other promotions. But on Saturday night three different released WWE stars made noticeable appearances for other companies. Starting off with Taya Valkyrie, who popped up via a video promo at Lucha Libre AAA’s Triplemania Regia 2 and challenged current Reina de Reinas Champion Deonna Purrazzo....

It sounds as if John Constantine could be making his way onto Netflix, though who will play the role is uncertain. Last week, Netflix revealed the first castmembers in its adaptation of The Sandman, the popular DC Comics series written by Neil Gaiman. The announcement made no mention of Constantine, but fans of the series know that the character shows up early on in the series, helping to guide Dream to one of his missing tools....

Raya and the Last Dragon is officially available for purchase on Disney+, and the movie is a hit with critics and audiences alike. Currently, the movie is up on Rotten Tomatoes with an impressive 95% score after more than 200 reviews. One particularly eye-catching thing about the new animated movie is the relationship between Raya (Kelly Marie Tran) and Namaari (Gemma Chan). There’s undeniable chemistry between the two characters that goes beyond a frenemy-ship....

Regina King just revealed that Sam Cooke’s family actually appreciated the singer’s portrayal in One Night in Miami. The director talked to Hollywood Life about the film and its impact. For the Oscar-hopeful, doing justice to the characters was of utmost importance. Cooke is surrounded by his friends Jim Brown, Malcolm X, and Muhammad Ali in the project. Leslie Odom Jr. plays the singer and gives him the kind of spark that can be hard to convey when bringing such a star to life....

Rick and Morty revealed a brand new teaser for a live-action version of the duo featuring Christopher Lloyd. The beloved actor actually plays the mad scientist he inspired with his Doc Brown character from Back to the Future. adult swim actually called this the Rick and Morty from the C-132 universe. Jaeden Lieberher plays the portal-hopping adventurer’s grandson. Not a lot is known about the finale to this season of Rick and Morty, the network and creative team have kept so much of it under wraps....

Shovel Knight developer Yacht Club Games has pulled back the curtain on its next internally-developed game, Mina the Hollower. Revealed during a special G4 Twitch stream, Yacht Club Games cites the Game Boy Color as a major influence on the new title. In particular, Mina the Hollower has been inspired by The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening. While the Game Boy Color is currently experiencing something of a renaissance thanks to the Analogue Pocket, a version for the system is not planned....

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story opened in theaters in 2016, bringing Star Wars fans their second new film in as many years. It was also the first Star Wars movie not considered a part of the Skywalker saga. And yet, Anakin Skywalker did make an appearance from a certain point of view. Early promotional footage for the film confirmed Darth Vader’s inclusion in the movie, but few if anyone expected him to draw his lightsaber in the movie’s finale....

The Flash returns on Tuesday with the first part of its five-part “Armageddon” event that kicks off The CW series’ eighth season and, as part of the event, a number of familiar faces will be returning to help Barry Allen/Team Flash (Grant Gustin) to deal with this latest catastrophic threat, including Mia Queen (Katherine McNamara). The character was last seen in the series finale of Arrow, “Fadeout”, attending her father’s funeral, but had begun her own story in the series’ penultimate episode, “Green Arrow and The Canaries”....

After several years of being in the works, DC’s The Flash movie is finally on the cusp of being a reality, with production on the film having wrapped last month. Over the many years since the film was initially announced, it has had a number of directors attached, from Rick Famuyiwa to Seth Grahame-Smith to John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein. Ultimately, Andy Muschietti ended up taking on the project, and fans are curious to see what he brings to the DC Comics mythos, and various new and returning characters....

With less than a month to go until the release of The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD on Nintendo Switch, the game is getting a significant amount of promotion. In its latest attempt to promote the game, Nintendo has revealed an all-new Twitter emoji based on the franchise! When the hashtags #SkywardSwordHD, #Zelda, or #SkywardSword are used on Twitter, it will prompt an emoji of Link’s iconic Hylian shield to appear....

Wonder Woman 1984 director Patty Jenkins is celebrating the film passing $100 million at the worldwide box office. On Twitter, the filmmaker thanked the fans who were able to see the sequel in theaters and pointed out those who had been able to rent them out for their friends. So, there’s a ton to unpack in there, but the fact remains the film is pacing well headed into 2021. There was a lot of speculation when Warner Media decided to put their entire slate on streaming alongside the theatrical release....

David Harbour revealed how he found out about the Red Guardian role in Black Widow. The Stranger Things star sat down with Insider to talk about his hilarious entry into the MCU. A lot of fans enjoyed the Super Soldier’s jokes and performance during Black Widow. According to Harbour, he didn’t know anything about all of this before he got the call. In fact, he says that director Cate Shortland called to speak about the movie without telling him about the role beforehand....
