Some of the crewmembers on Lip Sync Battle were terrified by Tom Holland’s iconic performance on the show. The Spider-Man star tore the house down on the show a few years ago, and that thrilled audiences. Insider’s Ashley Spencer did an oral history of the performance and noted that the crew members weren’t exactly thrilled with the whole deal. Basically, these things need to get cleared before they air, and no one knew if Rihanna would give her blessing in time....

Elizabeth Olsen has become a household name ever since joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Wanda Maximoff. The actor made her first appearance in the post-credits scene of Captain America: The Winter Soldier back in 2014 and has since appeared in Avengers: Age of Ultron, Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame, and most recently WandaVision. Earlier this week Marvel announced that the readers of their X-Men titles would get the chance to vote on the final member of the flagship team with the possible contenders including: Armor, Banshee, Boom-Boom, Cannonball, Forge, Marrow, Polaris, Strong Guy, Sunspot, and Tempo. As readers will know though, most of these characters are already appearing in a few titles and are on the other teams that inhabit Krakoa. Across years of development and months of early marketing for DC’s Black Adam movie, one phase has been repeated a lot — that the hierarchy of power in the DC universe is about to change. That unofficial tagline has already given fans an inkling of what to expect from the project, with regards to Black Adam’s (Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson) formidable set of superpowers and unpredictable moral compass. Classroom of the Elite is finally coming back after several years, and it has set its release date for Season 2 with a new poster! The first season taking on Shogo Kinugasa and Shunsaku Tomose’s original light novel series ended its run quite a few years ago, so many fans had actually given up hope for a proper return. It was then suddenly announced earlier this year that not only was the anime returning for a second season this July as part of the Summer 2022 anime schedule, but that there will be a third season planned for a release next year also....

Xbox has announced that gaming monitors from various partners like Philips, ASUS, and Acer are officially set to join the Designed for Xbox program this summer. But what does “Designed for Xbox” even mean when it comes to gaming monitors? Well, essentially, it means that the new monitors will specifically support the visual specifications of the Xbox Series X|S like HDR, 4K, 120Hz, and Variable Refresh Rate (VRR). The idea is that, rather than compare and contrast all of the technical specifications of a given gaming monitor, Xbox players will be able to know from the jump whether the monitor will meet their needs....

There have been plenty of stories in the past of movies wherein creators and actors will go to extreme lengths in order to get their minds within the tales they are hoping to create, and it seems as if the employees of Studio Khara took to skydiving to better animate one of the most insane battles in Evangelion 3.0 + 1.0: Thrice Upon A Time. While there still is no news regarding a potential North American release for the final film in the Rebuild of Evangelion series, there are plenty of NERV fans in the West crossing their fingers that news will drop soon....

HBO’s The Last of Us show will be focusing on the first game for Season 1, but the creator says it will “deviate greatly.” Neil Druckman was the director of the Sony blockbuster game and Craig Mazin is the showrunner on the TV series. They spoke to IGN about what’s coming in the first salvo of episodes. It’s been clear that the team at HBO wouldn’t want to stray too far from Ellie and Joel’s story....

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Ninjago line, LEGO Brawls is holding a special anniversary event. During the event, players can find “solid gold” versions of Ninjago characters, six new emotes, anniversary content, and a revamped Ninjago level, which features a new layout and decor. Alongside the brand-new event, LEGO Brawls version 2.3 includes bug fixes and general improvements, as well as some changes to the sound effects and music, though specific details have not been revealed....

Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige says that putting a superhero in a movie is not a “cheat-code” to success. Some film fans are still debating what Spider-Man: No Way Home’s box office success says about the state of theaters. Well, it would be easy to look at that kind of massive box office and say it’s totally because of the hero and his massive fanbase. But, Feige and viewers think that No Way Home has fared so well because of the story and the emotion carved out over 20 years....

A new Battlefield leak has fans of the PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, and Xbox Series X game worried, or at least some fans of the most recent Battlefield game. The leak comes the way of prominent Battlefield 2042 dataminer, Temporyal, who recently found some interesting references in the game’s files. It’s possible these files represent cut content that will never be added to the game, but it’s also possible they represent work that’s in progress and coming to the game in the future....

Episode 5 of Marvel Studios’ Loki made its debut on Disney+ on Wednesday, and it’s pretty safe to say that it was jam-packed with details from Marvel Comics. In addition to some surprising and long-awaited Easter eggs, the episode introduced general audiences to more alternate versions of Loki — including one that fans have wanted to see onscreen for quite some time. “President Loki”, the version of the character from the Vote Loki comic one-shot, had been featured throughout Loki’s promotional material, and finally factored into the world of the series in Episode 5....

Uncork’d Entertainment has released a trailer for Reed’s Point, an upcoming indie horror movie that centers on two survivors of an RV crash who find themselves dealing with the legend of the Jersey Devil. For a cryptid with a lot of pop culture exposure – it’s got a Bruce Springsteen song and an NHL team named for it – the creature has surprisingly little going on in the horror space, so director Dale Fabrigar takes on the mythology in a horror movie blended with a psychological thriller....

Rent-a-Girlfriend’s creator is celebrating a new sales milestone with a special sketch! While Reiji Miyajima’s original Weekly Shonen Magazine series had been a big hit before, the series has only increased in popularity thanks to the debut of its first anime season last Summer. With this first season standing out among the pack from a strong Summer 2020 schedule (which is doubly impressive considering the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic), it was confirmed that a second season of the anime is now in the works for a release next year....

Spy x Family has released its newest episode, and is honoring the launch of Episode 4 with a special new poster! Tatsuya Endo’s original manga franchise has been dominating the conversation around the Spring 2022 anime schedule as soon as it began, and that’s been the case with each new episode of the series. While the first three episodes of the anime were spent gathering the central trio together, the fourth episode provides their very first “mission” as a full Forger family as each of them tries to fake their way through high society while keeping their respective secrets from one another....

A new Star Wars animated series is on the way. On Friday, during Star Wars Celebration Anaheim, Lucasfilm officially announced Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures, a new animated series that will be set during the newly-explored High Republic era, which takes place centuries before the events of Star Wars: The Phantom Menace. According to Lucasfilm, the series will follow a group of Younglings as they study the ways of the Force and become Jedi, and learn compassion, self-discipline, teamwork, patience, and friendship....

Legendary Los Angeles Dodgers manager Tommy Lasorda passed away on Thursday at the age of 93. The Hall of Famer managed the Dodgers for 20 years, winning the World Series twice (1981 and 1988). He also played briefly in MLB as a pitcher for the Brooklyn Dodgers and Kansas City Athletics. WWE is saddened to learn that Tommy Lasorda passed away Thursday night at the age of 93. The former Los Angeles Dodgers manager was a celebrity guest ring announcer at WrestleMania 2....

It’s been rather quiet on the WWE, Sasha Banks, and Naomi conflict for a minute, but according to a new report from Raj Giri, it appears that Sasha Banks has been released by WWE. Giri wrote “I’m hearing Sasha Banks has been released. I don’t know if it’s he requested it or if it was on WWE’s end.” Banks has yet to comment on the situation but we’ll keep you posted when that happens....

AEW Dynamite featured an anticipated rematch between Thunder Rosa and Mercedes Martinez, and thanks to being a No DQ match, it promised to be a brutal one. It lived up to it too, with trash cans, chairs, tables, and more all making their way into the match, but it also featured the debut of Rosa’s slick new gear, which is an homage to Uma Thurman’s look in Kill Bill. Rosa debuted the yellow and black gear, complete with a silver pipe to mimic the sword, on social media, which was designed by designer Christina Cole....
