Skybound Entertainment, home to The Walking Dead franchise, announced today that it has entered into a partnership with The Callisto Protocol developer Striking Distance Studios and publisher KRAFTON to “act as a strategic partner” on the video game in order to bring its full “global marketing and distribution capabilities” to bear on it. What that looks like in practice remains to be seen, but from the sound of the announcement, it would appear that various transmedia avenues like comics, television series, books, and so on are on the table as possibilities....

Tokyo Revengers’ original manga has reached an impressive new sales milestone thanks to the success of its ongoing anime! Ken Wakui’s original manga series had enjoyed its own success before the debut of the anime adaptation, but it’s a completely different world now following its premiere as part of the Spring 2021 anime season. Not only has the anime driven interest to the manga so much that it has quickly reached new sales milestones in a short time, but the reported demographic and audience for the series has shifted in an unexpected direction as it expands as well....

The Tonight Show decided to get in on the WandaVision fun with Elizabeth Olsen on Wednesday evening. Jimmy Fallon got his Marvel Studios guest to riff on the wildly popular Disney+ series. The host adopted an old grain filter and a version of the old Tonight Show stage to do a fake interview with the Scarlet Witch. It’s a strange sight, but nothing as strange as the last few weeks have been on WandaVision....

One New Jersey groundhog passed away before it could give the customary Spring report. Milltown Mel told the people of his town when they could expect the seasons to change for for six years. Central Jersey’s reporting indicates that the lifespan for a groundhog is about 3 years. So, he lived a full life. However, the people organizing the Groundhog Day ceremonies for Milltown were taken off-guard by the news. It’s so late in the game that they don’t have a replacement for Mel....

WWE kicked off this week’s Monday Night Raw by officially confirming Bobby Lashley will defend his WWE Championship against Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 37 next month. Lashley cost “The Scottish Warrior” the title back at Elimination Chamber last month, attacking him after a succesful title defense inside the Chamber that made him an easy target for The Miz’s Money in the Bank contract. Lashley then revealed the next night that Miz hired The Hurt Business to attack McIntyre, and that he would get the first crack at The Miz....

William Regal made a surprise appearance during AEW Revolution on Sunday, marking his first appearance on TV since his WWE release back in January. Late in the show, Jon Moxley defeated Bryan Danielson while Moxley was trapped inside a triangle choke, which caused an irate Danielson to attack both the referee and Moxley. A security team ran down to try and separate the pair to no avail, followed by Regal stomping down the ring....

WWE’s WrestleMania this year is once again stretching the event over a two-night period, and recently, Stephanie McMahon confirmed what will be considered the “Main Event” for the first night of the biggest event of the year for World Wrestling Entertainment. Though many would have originally believed that the main event for night one would have been the World Heavyweight Championship match taking place between Drew McIntyre and Bobby Lashley, said fans might be a little shocked when it comes to just which bout McMahon has confirmed to be one of the main fights for WWE’s biggest event....

When it comes to celebrity friendships, there are lots of unexpected and lovable pairings out there. This week, a new favorite duo has been making waves on the Internet. Guardians of the Galaxy director, James Gunn, has been having some fun interactions on Twitter with ALF. Yes, the sitcom character from the ’80s who came from space and likes to eat cats. Earlier this week, Gunn had a hilarious response when the alien puppet volunteered to catsit for the director....

The first look at the return of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series has officially arrived. On Friday, Disney+ released a first look clip from the series’ upcoming third season, which is expected to debut on Disney+ later this summer. The clip was released alongside the news that the show has already been renewed for a fourth season. The clip not only provides a look at what the series’ cast and crew will be up to at the summer sleepaway camp of Camp Shadow Lake, but reveals the first footage of original High School Musical star Corbin Bleu on the series....

The new Red Dead Online: Blood Money update is live, and it’s one of the biggest updates yet to the online mode of Red Dead Redemption 2. As the official patch notes for the update reveal, it not only features the usual fixes and improvements but plenty of new content as well. In fact, it adds robberies, shakedowns, and a variety of other lawless activities to the game. And like previous updates, this is all completely free and offset by the money Rockstar Games makes on microtransactions....

Loki director Kate Herron has commented on today’s episode of Marvel Studios’ Disney+ series revealing Loki’s sexuality. SPOILERS for Loki episode 3, “Lamentis,” follow. In “Lamentis,” Loki catches up with the variant the TVA brought him in to track down, the “Lady Loki” called Sylvie. The two of them have a conversation in which Sylvie inquires about Loki’s love life on Asgard. “How about you? You’re a prince,” Sylvie says. “Must’ve been would-be princesses or perhaps, another prince....

Monster Hunter Rise has released a new update, Ver.3.1.0, that fixes a number of bugs – like, a whole bunch of them – as well as introducing some game adjustments and generally preparing the Capcom title for upcoming quests. Taken on its own, it’s not exactly the beefiest patch ever considering that no significant content of any kind was added immediately, but as a taste of things to come, well, that’s exciting in its own way....

A new Outriders balance update is live on Google Stadia, PC, PS4, PS5, and Xbox consoles alongside patch notes that reveal everything People Can Fly has tweaked and changed. According to the developer over on Reddit, the update and its changes are primarily focused on buffing skills that aren’t used enough by players and improving player survivability with a rebalance to armor. The Health available on Armor pieces has been increased greatly and rebalanced....

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania director Peyton Reed has announced a new ‘casting pick’ for the Ant-Man threequel: actor Tom Scharpling. You may not know Scharpling by name, but he’s actually a longtime Marvel Cinematic Universe veteran: Scharpling has appeared in both Ant-Man and Ant-Man and the Wasp, only to have his scenes in both films deleted. Reed made the announcement of Scharpling’s “casting” in Ant-Man 3 in a tweet celebrating the actor’s birthday: “I am very proud to announce that I am considering Tom Scharpling for a possible role in my new motion picture ANT-MAN AND THE WASP: QUANTUMANIA....

Between the 13 releases WWE announced last Friday and the reports of NXT shifting its focus and its presentation in the near future, the Black and Yellow Brand fans once loved might be on its way out the door. News of the latest releases, which was comprised of talent from NXT, 205 Live and the Performance Center, broke on Friday night during SmackDown with the biggest names including Bronson Reed, Bobby Fish, Jake Atlas, Mercedes Martinez and Leon Ruff....

The Late Show with Stephen Colbert decided to tackle the change to Superman’s iconic motto this week. The host had to discuss the idea of “truth, justice, and a better tomorrow.” Over the weekend at DC FanDome, the brand announced the change from “truth, justice, and the American way.” Of course, the edit was met on social media with skepticism and contempt from some commenters. However, the announcement was largely lost in a sea of other projects being previewed and discussed....

While The CW’s Superman & Lois is officially part of the network’s larger Arrowverse of DC inspired shows, the actual connections between the series and the rest of the shared universe since its debut have been few. While series star Tyler Hoechlin made his debut as Clark Kent/Superman on Supergirl, the character’s National City cousin has never been mentioned and even the recent appearance of Jenna Dewan’s Lucy Lane, a fixture on Supergirl’s first season, was a completely different version of the character when she appeared in Superman & Lois’ second season....

The Devil is a Part Timer! will finally be returning with a new season in just a few more weeks, and has finally revealed the release date for the new episodes with a new trailer and poster! After making waves with its debut season nearly ten years ago, this became one of those many anime series that fans had lost hope of ever seeing a proper second season. Thankfully the long wait will soon be coming to an end as the second season of the series has been picked up by a new studio as is hitting as part of the Summer 2022 anime schedule....

We’ve already gotten a look at posters for Sam Wilson/Falcon (Anthony Mackie), Bucky Barnes/The Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan), Sharon Carter/Agent 13 (Emily VanCamp), and Baron Zemo (Daniel Brühl). This new poster showcases John Walker AKA the new Captain America (Wyatt Russell). Marvel fans aren’t too happy the character took up the Cap mantle after it was supposed to go to Sam, and the show’s second episode left us wondering exactly what John’s intentions are....
