Makoto Shinkai, the prominent director behind such fan favorite films as Your Name and Weathering With You, will be revealing new details about his next movie project very soon! Following the release of Tenki no Ko: Weathering With You back in July 2019, Shinkai revealed that he was already in the midst of working on a pitch for his next project. Revealing major teases to fans over the years since, it seems that now the director’s newest work has been set in stone and is now entering some phase of production as the director is ready to talk all about it....

Kiefer Sutherland doesn’t think Jack Bauer’s story is done yet – and apparently, he’s not yet done with the 24 TV series if it’s not done with him! Sutherland recently did an interview in which he was asked about his time playing the now-iconic special agent Jack Bauer of the Counter-Terrorist Unit. The tweet comes from the official PlayStation Japan Twitter account, and it’s a somewhat cryptic tweet. And the tweet comes amidst speculation that PS1, PS2, and PS3 backward compatibility is finally coming, and possibly imminent. Most of this speculation is the result of a recent PlayStation patent, however, some of it has also been generated by reports that PlayStation Spartacus – a rumored PlayStation subscription service that will combine PlayStation Now and PlayStation Plus – will come with full PlayStation legacy backward compatibility....

Marvel fans can get a stunning new look at how Silver Surfer came to life in 2007’s Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer thanks to Doug Jones, the actor who played the herald of Galactus. Jones decided to celebrate 15 years since filming the movie by sharing a behind-the-scenes photo that should be eye-opening for anyone who thought the film’s Silver Surfer was an entirely CGI creation. Jones tweeted out the photo, which shows him in full costume as Silver Surfer, leaning over at a near parallel to the ground with assistance from crew members and strings to simulate the sky-surfing effect....

Harry Potter: Magic Awakened developer NetEase has apologized to players over a supposed bug that caused female player characters to make an “ahegao” face when attacked by a magic spell. For readers unfamiliar with that term, an “ahegao” face is associated with orgasms in certain manga, anime, and video games. The expression includes exaggerated features with the tongue sticking out, redness in the face, and eyes rolling. Naturally, players took issue with this, particularly since the expression only appears on the female characters and not the male characters....

My Hero Academia’s fifth season is taking a brief hiatus this week, with new episodes continuing on July 10th, but the Shonen franchise has given fans some big news with regards to the voice actors that will be bringing Re-Destro and his Meta Liberation Army to life. Though the My Villain Academia Arc has switched places with the Endeavor Agency Arc, fans are still highly anticipating the arrival of the Arc that will take the spotlight off of the heroes of UA Academy and instead follow the villains of the series as they amass power in their own corner of the world....

Resident Evil 4 Remake will be reimagining the original game and of course, that means Capcom has to utilize new actors for the various characters. While we don’t know the full cast of the game quite yet, it has already been confirmed that Resident Evil 6 actor Matthew Mercer will not be reprising his role as Leon Kennedy in this remake. This was largely a foregone conclusion for many given he didn’t return to the character in the Resident Evil 2 remake, but still, there were some hopeful fans that wanted to see him play Leon once more....

After a bit of a wait, WWE Undisputed Champion Roman Reigns was set to defend his Universal Championship on tonight’s SmackDown against Riddle, and it was as thrilling a match-up as you would expect. Reigns hadn’t defended the WWE Championship or Universal Championship since becoming Undisputed WWE Champion at WrestleMania 38, but tonight he put the Title on the line and Riddle wasn’t about to let that opportunity slip by him....

Ryan Reynolds is asking for a Fantastic Four movie starring the gang from It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. This has to be one of the more “out there” requests for the cast of Marvel’s First Family. Reynolds is known for his pranks and this post from his Maximum Effort productions is no different. Imagine the fan response if he actually decided to put the Deadpool 3 budget towards Fantastic Four instead?...

More Star Trek is coming to Paramount+. The streaming service has five Star Trek series in 2022: Star Trek: Prodigy currently, with Star Trek: Discovery returning next week, Star Trek: Picard in March, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds in May, and more Star Trek: Lower Decks to come. Universal Studios Japan has taken the opportunity to introduce some wild rides based on the world of anime, with one of said attractions even seeing the mechs of Neon Genesis Evangelion battle Godzilla for the first time. In ringing in this new year, the theme park has broken the news that the attractions for Attack On Titan and Sailor Moon will be making a big comeback, as Hunter x Hunter also preps to land at Universal Studios later this year....

In what’s become something of an annual Wrestlemania tradition, Shane McMahon has fallen from a very tall surface. This year, McMahon was chucked from the top of a steel cage by his recent nemesis Braun Strowman, effectively ending his cage match at Wrestlemania. Most longtime WWE fans saw McMahon’s fall coming, as McMahon’s more recent Wrestlemania 32 spots have featured him defying gravity and/or Father Time to do breathtaking leaps and falls from some sort of tall surface....

Activision CEO Bobby Kotick will remain on the Board of Directors at the video publisher for at least another year thanks to approval from shareholders. Kotick has been in charge of Activision since the 90s, giving him a long tenure at the Call of Duty publisher. He’s famously stated that he doesn’t play his own games (but also gone back on that by once saying he played Skylanders with his children) and has drawn ire from gamers for years due to decisions made by the company....

In case it wasn’t already clear that FX is betting big on the American Horror Story franchise, let’s break down the recent developments. The upcoming tenth season, AHS: Double Feature, will have two seasons worth of stories. Furthermore the show has already been renewed through season thirteen with the anthology spin-off American Horror Stories in development for the FX on Hulu programming section. Apparently though, that’s not all. Series co-creator Ryan Murphy took to social media today to announce “The AMERICAN HORROR STORY universe is expanding,” offering fans of the series six potential stories that they could choose from to see more of in the world of AHS....

Treyarch Studios released a new update for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War on Thursday to change up a few of the game’s featured playlists and modes among other adjustments. This means that some new features like a Gunfight Tournament were added while modes were rotated into the available playlists. A could of fixes were released for the Zombies mode, too, alongside the promise of a Double Weapon XP weekend that’s starting soon....
