WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley took to Twitter on Monday night to call out a promoter for claiming that he would be at an upcoming event in Philadelphia when in reality he was going to be in Texas that night. Roman Reigns unified the WWE and Universal Championships into the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship in the main event of WrestleMania 38 back in April by defeating Brock Lesnar. Roughly a month later, Reigns started cutting promos at WWE Live Events indicating he was entering a new phase of his career that would involve fewer house show appearances. However, that has also carried over to WWE programming as Reigns has not defended his world title on TV once since winning it....

New behind-the-scenes pictures from Captain Marvel’s sequel may have revealed another Marvel character appearing in the film. On Twitter, @halobearers actually found that Tessa Thompson’s Valkyrie will probably be appearing in The Marvels. Zenobia Shroff, the actress who will be playing Muneeba Khan in Ms. Marvel, posted a photo of her celebrating the cast and crew of the Captain Marvel sequel. From there, internet sleuthing noticed some headshot in the corner of the room....

The finale of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier debuts this weekend, bringing an end to an action-packed and genuinely surprising Marvel Studios adventure. The newest and most unexpected face arrived in the series’ fifth episode, when Emmy winner Julia Louis-Dreyfus made a surprise appearance as Contessa Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, a fan-favorite character who becomes Madame Hydra in the comics....

The landscape of television is changing on basically a constant basis, as the viewing habits of audiences consistently continue to evolve. Earlier this year, it was confirmed that one mainstay of linear network television, The CW, might be sold by WarnerMedia and Paramount Global, with Nextstar Media Group Inc. being “among the suitors” who might ultimately purchase it. Even as both of the current parent companies could remain minority owners and receive “commitments to be the primary program suppliers for the network,” some have wondered how this acquisition could affect The CW’s current crop of programming....

A long-awaited PlayStation exclusive has seemingly been cancelled. The game in question was first teased all the way back in 2007, before it was officially announced on PlayStation’s E3 stage in 2009 as “Agent,” by Rockstar Games. Four years then passed without a peep about the game until in 2013 a trademark was renewed. In 2014, 2015, and 2016, there was more silence. It wasn’t until 2017 when the aforementioned trademark was renewed again that we heard about from the game....

In a new essay about Federico Fellini, filmmaker Martin Scorsese weighed in on the current status of cinema and how he feels the nature of the art form is being devalued in an age where companies care more about creating “content” than they do about the importance of cinema on culture. In the essay for Harper’s Magazine, Scorsese fully admits that there are advantages with streaming services (he released his critically acclaimed The Irishman on Netflix), but notes that trusting an algorithm to determine what audiences should watch serves as a reminder that these services will merely offer viewers what they think they would like, as opposed to curated services that put thought into crafting suggestions, potentially with films that engage with them or are drastically different from what they typically select....

Pokemon Unite continued to show off the varied abilities of its Pokemon characters, this time showing off how Charizard and Snorlax will function in battle. The upcoming MOBA-style game released two new character teasers yesterday, which showed off Charizard and Snorlax’s moveset. The two popular Pokemon will both appear in the initial roster of Pokemon Unite, with completely different styles of play. Charizard can hit foes with a mix of melee and ranged attacks, along with several attacks that seem to deal persistent damage or create terrain that damages opponents....

A new 2D Metroid game was officially announced during today’s Nintendo Direct at E3. Nintendo announced their first Metroid game in 4 years, titled Metroid Dread. The new game, Metroid Dread, hearkens back to classic Metroid games with side-scrolling action.. Nintendo announced that Metroid Dread would be released on October 8, 2021 for the Nintendo Switch. It’s noted that this is a separate project from Metroid Prime 4, which was announced way back in 2017 but was re-started back in 2019....

The Witcher is easily one of the most popular original live-action series that Netflix has in its current roster, taking us into new adventure of Geralt of Rivia, but the streaming service isn’t stopping here, as an upcoming animated film is set to explore the past of Geralt’s mentor, Vesemir. The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf is set to arrive on Netflix on August 23rd, not just further exploring this world of magic and mysticism, but giving us insight into the earlier days of Vesemir and how he was set on the path to becoming a Witcher himself....

Tonight’s AEW Rampage features several stellar matches featuring stars like Adam Cole, Thunder Rosa, Mercedes Martinez, Jay Lethal, Sammy Guevara, and more, but Tony Khan has more stars up his sleeve it would seem. After being forced to cancel three different events in 2020 due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, VidCon has announced that it will return in 2021 (bringing the news one year to the date that they cancelled their previous gathering). The in-person event will take place at the Anaheim Convention Center from October 21 through October 24. In a statement, VidCon general manager Jim Louderback said: “We are so excited to bring our flagship event back to Anaheim this fall after such an unprecedented time for the world....

Charlotte Flair retained the Raw Women’s Championship against Alexa Bliss and destroyed Lilly in the process! Alexa Bliss has been making her way up the ladder towards the Raw Women’s Championship, and so her back and forth with Charlotte Flair has been one of the more uniquely interesting match ups heading into Extreme Rules. Not only is the WWE Draft something to think when trying to predict who the winner could be (considering the both of them would be great additions to Friday Night SmackDown), but Charlotte’s run this time around has been noticeably less fallible than in her previous reign following Nikki A....

Production is gearing up for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, the highly-anticipated follow-up to Marvel Studios’ 2018 blockbuster. In addition to keeping alive the legacy of franchise star Chadwick Boseman, who passed away in 2020, the film is rumored to be featuring some surprising characters from across the Marvel universe. Riri Williams/Ironheart (Dominique Thorne) had been rumored to appear in the film, and as ComicBook.com confirmed on Thursday, she will definitely be making an appearance before spinning out into her own Disney+ solo series....

Free! has dropped a new poster for the second part of The Final Stroke movie finale project! The long running Kyoto Animation original anime franchise recently returned for a two-part feature film project that’s setting out to end the franchise as a whole. The first of these films made its way through theaters last Fall, and now the second and final part of this grand finale project is set to hit theaters in Japan later this Spring....
